Mafia Mafia: Day Two - Lynch Lunch Hour!

The vig contacted me about being blocked and told me he/she targeted The Witch. So, I immediately contacted The Witch to poke around and asked why she was out and about last night. She knew I had no way of knowing since there are no watchers/trackers so she called my bluff. I explained that she had been the target of the vig and it wasn't successful and accused her of being the Serial Killer. She came back and told me The Fairy Tale pill was a good one. I'm not repeating myself. I've already answered. Here's where the votes stand: The Female Lover (Hinckley): 1 vote (Rufus) The Blacked-Out Night Action Dude (Bob): 1 vote (fhomess) The Jester (CallMePie): 1 vote (Tamamono) The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam): 5 votes (TrumpetKing, PirateDave84, LEGODad, Bob, Hinckley, Clanure, DarthPotato, Tamamono) The Male Lover (LEGODad): 4 votes (jamesn, DarthPotato, fhomess, PirateDave84, CallMePie) The Witch (Waterbrick Down): 1 vote (CallMePie) The Tree Stump (Adam): 1 vote (Kadabra) Use a colon. What is this? Mafia School?? Honestly, it's very helpful if you do. Thanks. That right there is a real vote. -

Way to waffle in the center, commit to nothing and play both sides of The Cultist case. So, do you think it's a Town-tell or was he too Scummy yesterday? Which is it? And there's a huge difference between The Cultist and The Serial Killer in that The Serial Killer hadn't even logged in. The Cultist has been here and even took the time to speak with some of us. So, no. It's not the exact same thing a Townie did yesterday. And if we continue this trend, any Scum we accuse would only have to disappear for us to unvote him. Is that the logic you propose we use? Again, has he logged in? -

The Cultist tells me he's quitting the game so lets make him one of our lynches. Easy as that since he claims The Werewolf is going to mod kill him anyway. Saves us the trouble of lynching two players. -

I think I said this amply when I was asking for another vig claim, and of course the same thing applies here because, as I've just told the JOAT, I have not been confirmed. So, The Cult Leader is right. Be very careful. I know why the JOAT claimed to me and it makes sense with other things that were happening, but this is by no means a call to have every PR come claim to me. And just to make sure it's clear, if there is a Town JOAT out there and the one claiming to me is lying, let someone you trust know that can hopefully bring the info out in thread. I already said that. I'd rather they know not to pick it then for a Townie PR to get it. They learn the content of six pills a day. Let's take what advantages we can. Any tracking who selected what? -

Here's where the votes stand: The Female Lover (Hinckley): 1 vote (Rufus) The Blacked-Out Night Action Dude (Bob): 1 vote (fhomess) The Jester (CallMePie): 1 vote (Tamamono) The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam): 5 votes (TrumpetKing, PirateDave84, LEGODad, Bob, Hinckley, Clanure) The Male Lover (LEGODad): 2 votes (jamesn, fhomess) The Witch (Waterbrick Down): 1 vote (CallMePie) Yeah? Well, no more Mr. Nice Guy. Is this Jedi Temple? Keeping it strict keeps the communication clear. That's what we need: clarity. So, thanks for indulging my control freak. Found the Town JOAT. Anyone else want to claim to be the Town JOAT? Now I understand why I was having trouble understanding what both sides had. This formatting, Wolfy. The Night Actions Town and Scum have NEARLY IDENTICAL ROLES with only a few tweaks to change for their sides. JOAT - (Town: Investigator / Protector) (Scum: Protector / 2-shot Framer / 1-shot Janitor) Role Cop Killer Blocker Inventor - Can invent a net (blocker), shield (protector), magnifying glass (investigation), or pistol (kill action). Bulletproof. Inscrutable (all investigation attempts including role cop will come up as "unsuccessful"). The inventor may either gift his invention, or create a new one, he may not do both on the same night. Universal Back-Up The inventor has to spend one Night making the invention and handing it out the next? So, no inventions could've been given last night. In the long run, if we keep the right people protected, the Town could have two investigations a night and three every other night. It'd be nice to try and coordinate that. I'm talking to Mr. JOAT, so we're at least halfway to the two-people a Night blanket. Also, is there any danger to revealing who took the Downers? It'd be nice to know where those are so Vanilla Townies can take them and keep our Night Actions clear. I'd rather have the Scum know them, than for our Power Roles to be inadvertently blocked. -

In my opinion, these should be our focus for the Day: The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam) - for obvious reasons. The Snake Charmer (DarthPotato) - a very smart and usually active player and yet, now that the smoke has cleared from The Cult Leader's accusation, he hasn't been contributing to all that has been happening. The Paranoid Gun Owner (Purpearljellyblob) - Call this one a gut feeling. There's something I just don't like about him. He's flying under the radar, but seems to be paying enough attention to get pills, etc. The Male Lover (LEGODad) - Are the inconsistencies just mistakes and sloppy reading? He seems to be trying to be helpful to The Town and I agree with a good number of his points but we've noticed some things we don't like about what he's saying as well, specifically the odd feeling that The Cop was killed for being suspicious when we know the vigilante was unsuccessful. Am I missing any major suspects? I do have to wonder why The Witch revealed so easily to me that the pill was the unkillable one. Had I taken that pill and someone tried to kill me and contacted me about it, I'd certainly be a lot more dodgy. Maybe I would, who knows. Maybe I can just ask The Witch: why did you reveal the property of the pill to me so quickly? What had I done that you trusted me with the info? Lastly, we need to discuss how we will handle the two-lynch rule. How can we get our two main suspects to the top of the votes? And who should those two people be? -

I think you should read the whole post again. But, if that's your opinion of it, that's your opinion of it. I'm not trying to distract from anything. I actually am trying to reign in the distractions, which is why I told people to stop focusing on Blabbermouth Bob. That would've been an easy thing to use to cause distraction and we should look at the two people who mentioned him being a concern. I'll end the mystery right now. You fake voted for Blacked-Out Night Action Dude and as the day was beginning, I found him suspicious. I thought he and The Doctor were both Scum. I'll explain why some other time. However, since you also found Blacked-Out Night Action dude Scummy, I felt I could trust you. That's all. The Witch mentioned you and The Talking Animal as the people he thought we should tell to try and get the pill. I don't know if he spoke to The Talking Animal about it, but he said he felt The Talking Animal was in Town-mode. You didn't fake un-vote so I'm not counting the new one. Treat it like a vote. That's the only way it will work. -

This was the good point I was referring to: Also, The Tree Stump made a good point about The Doctor: Doctor, how many posts should we have a day to avoid appearing Scummy to you? -

Hinckley replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'll un-fake vote: The Male Lover (LEGODad) and vote: The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam) who logged in about an hour ago, yet didn't bother to answer to any accusations or even post. I think Blacked-Out Night Action Dude was too eager to help, but seems Town to me right now. I believe the claimed vig has sufficiently explained his/her target of The Witch. I wouldn't play that way, but I understand now what the thought process was. I think The Male Lover (LEGODad) should be watched closely, but could just be making mistakes. Who else do we have concerns about. I remember a good point being brought up earlier that seems to have been lost in the whole Witch debacle. Here's where the votes stand: The Female Lover (Hinckley): 1 vote (Rufus) The Blacked-Out Night Action Dude (Bob): 1 vote (fhomess) The Jester (CallMePie): 1 vote (Tamamono) The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam): 4 votes (TrumpetKing, PirateDave84, LEGODad, Bob, Hinckley) The Male Lover (LEGODad): 1 vote (jamesn) The Witch (Waterbrick Down): 1 vote (CallMePie) -

I'm not hammering you. I'm asking for clarification. You said The Cop was killed for being suspicious and guessed it was by the Scum or Serial Killer. So, why would the Scum or Serial Killer kill someone the Town found suspicious? Again, I'm not "going after them". I'm simply saying they may not want to participate to avoid possibly slipping or contradicting themselves later. Scum do not want to make accusations. But, I don't think everyone agreed it was a train wreck, clearly, as people are still using the fake vote system. You're bristly. Ooops. Sorry. That's not exactly what you said: -

No. We needed more than one person on the lookout for it in case I wasn't around when the pill cart arrived. -

Hinckley replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, I'm quoting myself here. If The Witch is telling the truth, then I've got a free pass tonight and can be as much of a bold dick to the Scum as I want, so I'm going to try to poke them out a bit by saying I doubt they're involved in any fake voting. That's one nice thing about what we're doing because of the one un-vote rule. Scum usually don't vote right away, but if we're all planning out our votes in this way, it's not very likely that the Scum will be taking part. It's one thing to discuss suspicions, but to put it out there in the form of a fake vote might be something The Scum are avoiding. So, let's look at the non-fake-voters: The Role Cop (KielDaMan) - Reads Town to me. The Godfather (Kadabra) - The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam) - I hate to lynch another person that isn't around to defend himself but maybe that's what he's hoping will happen. The NPC (Esurient) - The Doctor (Piratedave84) - The Jester (CallMePie) - The Male Lover (LegoDad) - The PGO (Purpearljellyblob) - Under the radar much? Certainly knows when the pill cart is here, but doesn't have much else to say. The Witch (Waterbrick Down) - doesn't even place real votes. The Treestump (Adam) - Oh, the crime of being quiet. The Talking Animal (mostlytechnic) - The Virgin (Clanure) - There, all those people are Scum. Um, maybe this isn't such a bright theory or a scary poke for the Scum, but the idea sounded pretty valid before I tried to type it out. Anyway, it's something to think about. I'm not saying that anyone who doesn't try my idea is Scum, perhaps it's still confusing for some, but I do doubt that the Scum would boldly start even fake cases against people. -

Yes, we figured this would be obvious. Ooops. The Witch and I agreed that The Goon seemed like a trustworthy person to try and get that pill when the cart came around. We cross-posted making it painfully conspicuous that we both wanted to know what it did. I've been quite clear as to why I want to see what it does as that will verify or counter The Witch's claim. Did you post this after discovering I had said I knew what the pill supposedly does. Otherwise, I don't understand why you would still question why it seems like I know the effect of the pill. And I believe I already mentioned that this doesn't verify The Witch's alignment but rather why she couldn't be killed by The Vig last night. So, is nobody going to weigh in on The Vig's choice of target? Are we to be an active Town or not? -

Don't let it be. As bad an idea as it was for him to blab everything he knew, I have the feeling it was well-intentioned. I want to murder him but not lynch him. So, don't let that be a distraction. Let's not focus on his mistake, which might not even be a mistake - it may just be he made a different play than some of us would. It is his game, he can play however he wants. But let's not focus on that. Let's find the Scum hiding among us. Male Lover, I'm still not satisfied with your answer about why you thought The Cop changing his game got him killed. Not sure exactly what to do about it though, either. What does anyone else think about it? I know this whole Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude fiasco has kind of blurred the issue. The Male Lover says that def was a metagame kill after I already said the vig didn't kill. Why would the Scum or Serial Killer kill someone the Town found suspicious? Why is The Male Lover so convinced that this was a metagame kill due to The Cop's suspicious behavior? Scum mindset? Let's get talking, people. Come on. There are plenty of issue to discuss besides Bob's big mouth. -

So you've explained that Scum would share information with each other but not with us. But what if a Townie brings them info or they're contacted for some reason. What would expect them to do with that information? Act Scummy? Conceal it? Lie about it? Encourage it not to be spread? There's a huge difference between the info they have with each other and the info Townies unwittingly share with them. -

Ding ding ding! You got it. If that's not what the pill does, then we know who to lynch for sure. What do you think Scum would do with such information? -
Mafia Mafia: Day Two - Lynch Lunch Hour!
Hinckley replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Fuckin-A. All right. With all this info out there, thank you Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude, the Scum will figure this out, so the Town should all know too. Let's make it a lesson in how to play this particular concept. I'm going to explain to you what The Witch claimed and how we're trying to verify it. But, you have to figure it out. I'll give you an enourmous clue: Which pill did I pick today? -
Mafia Mafia: Day Two - Lynch Lunch Hour!
Hinckley replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm not going to give any info away about the player, but trust me I've weighed all factors and don't like the claim. There's only one vig, so if we don't get a counter-claim, we're stuck with this one. And The Witch wasn't quiet on Day One. The Witch, despite not voting, called The Doctor out and to a lesser extent, The Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude for not following through with his promise to analyze behavior, something we're still waiting on. -
Mafia Mafia: Day Two - Lynch Lunch Hour!

Furthermore, why would the SK take out someone who was "suspicious"? My Male Lover, I might die without you but you're sleeping on the couch. No, I mean the Witch! The Witch has a good reason to not have been killable and we have to wait to verify it. Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude!!! *shakes fist* -
Mafia Mafia: Day Two - Lynch Lunch Hour!
Hinckley replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Didn't you say it after I said the vig didn't kill? And why would an axe killer who quotes Lion King be our vig? I'm a little nervous about you so confidently assuming that The Cop was killed because he was suspicious. As long as all of this is out in the open, what do you guys think of The Witch as a vig kill target? Does that seem feckuckeded to anybody else? Because I don't understand it and I've heard the vig's explanation: "sometimes you have to take a shot in the dark." Now that this has all been revealed, I'll be honest, I don't like this vig. I don't necessarily believe the claim. Why would the vig target someone with no good reason with so much at stake? And the original reason he/she contacted me was to find out if I sent anyone to block him/her. Doesn't that sound like it could potentially be someone who knew I am Town. So, please, please please please, if this is a false claim Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude and I have received and the real vig is out there, please find a way to alert us to your presence. I know of a way to keep you protected. -
Mafia Mafia: Day Two - Lynch Lunch Hour!
Hinckley replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
We are trying to verify the Witch's claim, which would've been the smart thing to do before blabbing the circumstances to anyone. I know I've blabbed in the past, but this is epic. Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude, don't sink this ship. Don't Dave us. Agreed. I don't know what side you're on, Witch, even if your claim turns out to be true, but your advice is sound. Shut your mouths people, unless you know you can trust someone. I know other people are talking to Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude behind the scenes. Be careful. He blabs everything. Blacked-Out-Night-Action Dude, I've said this a lot already, but please slow down. To get the answers, we have to be patient. There was absolutely zero reason to reveal what we know about The Witch before we could verify the claim.
