Minimal Mafia Confirmation & Discussion Thread
Hinckley replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Day Four conclusion is up! Thanks for your patience. I didn't have my FTP setup this weekend and was not at home until tonight. With my class schedule, it's been easiest for me to post interludes and conclusions around midnight so I'll post Day Five in about six hours.- 37 replies

“Hey everybody!” The co-host cries, “I finally got something to bake!” “Wieners and applesauce!” He announces. “Hooray!” everyone shouts. “Oh great,” scoffs John McCracken. “It’s amazing how you can roll your eyes when you don’t even have eyes,” the host notes. “I’m amazing,” admits John McCracken. “This isn’t applesauce, it’s just ein apple,” Eva Hesse notes. “Hey, it’s baked, OK?” The co-host snaps back. “Do I get applesauce and wieners?” Carl Andre asks. “No, you die,” answers the host. Day Five will be up in about 6 hours.

"You've been promising us baked good for four days now," Brice Marden says, "I want some megablocking cinnamon rolls!" "You think we don't eat because we're minimalist towers of block??" Anne Truit cries. "I may be sexually ambiguous and an outwardly gentle artist," Ellsworth Kelly offers, "But I'll get medieval on your megablocks if something fully baked doesn't come out of that oven soon." "Eeep!" The co-host says. You may now vote. You have 47 hours to reach a conviction.

Players only please! Late at night something very odd happens to the body of Dan Flavin. Genghis Khan emerges from his block buddy disguise, proclaiming, "Ha! They never suspect Genghis Khan will come slit their throats in their sleeps!" "Ha! They think I am caring about this art! No, I couldn't provide two shits about..." Whack! "Genghis Khan..." marvels the host, "I never would've suspected him." "Genghis Khan..." marvels Donald Judd, "I never would've suspected him." Bang! Donald also never suspects he would be shot by the work of the late Tony Smith, ironically titled "We Lost"... "Oh my!" Robert Mangold exclaims as he views the carnage, "Dan Flavin, Genghis Khan and Donald Judd, all dead. Weird. What's the strange vulnerable type feeling I'm having?" "Vulnerability?" A dark figure offers as he stabs Robert Mangold in the spine. "Thank you..." Robert gasps as the life drains out of him. Alfred Jarry throws off his Robert Mangold disguise and proclaims, "We told them we should be killed before we came up with new ideas! The art world belongs to them, we told them! But their ideas...are...so...awful...megablocking neon..." The dark figure surveys the night's carnage. "Genghis Khan?" He says, "What the...??" In the morning, everyone gathers around the bodies. "Donald Judd was a member of the Town, but Dan Flavin and Robert Mangold were both Scum...and also Genghis Khan and Alfred Jarry, respectively, for some reason." Day Four has begun. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. Non-playing Characters Host, Male, played by Hinckley Co-Host, Male, played by TrumpetKing Players (7) Anne Truitt, Female Brice Marden, Male Carl Andre, Male Ellsworth Kelly, Male Eva Hesse, Female Jo Baer, Female John McCracken, Male The Dead Sol Lewitt, Male, murdered Night One, Town Tony Smith, Male, lynched Day Two, Town Frank Stella, Male, murdered Night Two, Town Dan Flavin, Male, lynched Day Three, Scum Donald Judd, Male, murdered Night Three, Town Robert Mangold, Male, murdered Night Three, Scum Objective: The Scum win when they have outnumbered the Town. If this gives away which character you are playing, this rule will be applied to that action. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Scum. To win the game, the Town must kill off all of the Town, while the Scum must outnumber the Town. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format only; Vote: Character. Similarly, unvoting is to be done in this format only; Unvote: Character. No other format will be accepted. In the case of a tie, there will be no lynch. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will not end when a majority vote has been reached. If there is time left, a majority vote can be over-turned. After the day has concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last a maximum of 24 hours, unless otherwise noted. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 20 hours of the night stage, or they will not be accepted, no exceptions. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host. This includes all the details and pictures of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. You may not quote PMs from or to other players. Paraphrasing is allowed but no direct quoting. Please refrain from quoting PMs in the game threads and in private. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. Violation of this rule will result in a multiple game suspension. You may not edit your posts. You must post in every day thread. You must vote in every day thread. If you have a Night Action, you are required to use it every night, unless otherwise noted. If you have a Night Action, you may not target the same player on three consecutive nights. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host or co-host via PM. Please please please use only the confirmation PM sent to you to communicate with the hosts if you can. Violation of the above rules will result in a penalty of one vote per every four living players (1/4 of the active players list) on the first violation and replacement by another player on the second. If you verbally abuse another player (definition of abuse will be left up to the game hosts and games moderator), you will be removed from the game and never asked to play one of my games again. Don't be a dick. Some additional guidelines, although they are not rules that will incur penalties if you don't follow them: The pictures may or may not contain clues. They most likely do not, but look all you want. Wildly speculate. It's fun. Using acronyms, especially tl;dr, or any 7334 speak will cause major trouble for your character, perhaps even instant death. Roleplaying is a good thing and it is encouraged in this game. You are all playing real people so google your name and have some fun. You have all been sent a role PM in this format:

"Time to kill Dan Flavin." "Where's my hammer?" "Oh, don't use a hammer again." "We're artists, let's come up with something more creative." "You can use my gun." "Who said that?" "Not me." "OK, good." "Well, we're Minimalist Artists, so maybe he can have a minimal death." "How would we do that?" "Dan, could you just die?" "Sure." Thunk. "There, that was easy."

Players only please! Frank Stella works late into the night on his latest painting. "I think I almost got it. It's just missing something. Maybe something juxtapose to the hard lines? Maybe a splash of color?" He ponders. "How about some red?" Someone asks. "Maybe," Frank agrees, "But I don't think I have any red paint...also, I don't even have a paintbrush. Not sure how I did this much..." Bang! "Oh, the red is nice." Frank admits... ...and then collapses to the floor, dead. "It really does look nice," the figure agrees, "I'm a genius." "Oh no! Frank Stella's dead!" "Yay!" "Who said 'Yay'?" "Um...not me." "OK, good." "Well, Frank Stella and Tony Smith were both Town..." Day Three has begun. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. "OK, Hosts. We chose Tony Smith." "Oh, a lynchee... Um... how nice." "Well, aren't you going to kill him?" "Well..." "Come on, it was your idea to lynch people. You had to have some idea." "Not really. I've been busy." "Yeah, me too. Banana bread is still in the oven." "Did you turn the oven on?" "Oh..." "It's hard to kill someone when we don't even have arms." "Since we're just paintings, couldn't we push him into paint thinner?" "Are we paintings? I thought we were people wearing clothes based on our works of art." "We have hands. You just have to believe." "Huh?" "It's an abstract landscape. Can't we kill him in some abstract way?" "It's minimal, not abstract." "What's the difference?" "Minimal means you think less." Whack! "A hammer works."
