  1. Can you PM? If so, why wouldn't all the Oaks come claim to you now? You're verified Oak. I've quoted this twice, sorry. What could the other possibilities be? Lassie Sassafrass, are you trying too hard to appear like an Oak, you scummy Maple?
  2. Why would the Maples janitor an Oak on Night One? I was concerned about my private communication with Sammy Sycamore. It seemed like he was subtly trying to undermine my confidence in the Alastair vote. If Alastair is Scum, it would definitely scoot Sammy over into the Scum column in my view. I am assuming that the Maples have limited Janitor capabilities. Otherwise, it would mess with the game mechanics. Or we won't see results until we kill the janitor which would suck. But he's not a stump. I wonder if all Townies come back as Stumps but all Scum die. This is hurting my brain at the moment. The rules clearly differentiate between dead players and tree stumps. Considering Buck's contributions yesterday, I don't expect us to hear much from his stump anyway. It doesn't look like the stumps are forbidden from sending Potato Messages. OK, if the Maples have limited janitor-shots, I would imagine Alastair was Scum. Maybe they just want to keep us confused for as long as possible. That's a possibility. But I can't imagine why they would use a janitor shot, if it was limited, this early unless it was a big strategic advantage.
  3. I believe that is what happened. No need to speculate. What other possibility is there. Read the rules. Alignment is shown in the morning. Are you honestly grilling a dead Oak?
  4. I don't want to step out of line but I see a lot of people lurking in this thread and in the forum. I asked Walter yesterday when Day Two might be up and I did hear back that he plans to have it in about 3.5 hours from the time of this post. It may change, so I don't want to get anyone's hopes up. But I also didn't want everyone to be waiting without any word. Again, not to speak for Walter, I just wanted to let you guys know what I heard. Let's make sure we all support our host during his first game and appreciate the high quality we're experiencing so far.
  5. He's most likely at a Super Bowl party. At least I hope he is. I hope everything is OK.
  6. Walter movement update: He's gone offline. I repeat, he's gone offline. More Walter-stalking updates as the come in. Stay tuned...
  7. Pssst. Walter is online and in his Personal Messenger. Perhaps we will get Day Two up early.
  8. Please use capital letters when starting a new sentence. Thanks
  9. I'm guessing 5.5 hours from the time of this post unless Walter posts it early again. But he wants to have the 24 hour mark be 3pm CST every day.
  10. I think we are likely to have to wait until tomorrow.
  11. This is a great example of what we don't want to see. "Hi, I'm new." is the preferred way. All caps with no punctuation may get you kicked out. Try again. Thanks.
  12. Please don't make us wait another day! So, when the new day starts, I can open the first day so we can all quote it if we need. We just have to make sure nobody posts in it. Everyone cool with that?
  13. Where's the new Day?? But, seriously...make with the Mafia. I'm not stable!
  14. Correct. And a counter-claiming Oak would make you a Maple.
  15. He claimed to me and I advised him to claim to everyone. In a side conversation with Jack Pine, Jack brought up he didn't think there was a Miller because nobody had claimed. Millers had gone out of style in my time so we had a discussion about them. When Berty claimed to me I advised him based on that conversation. Bruce's point above is a good one. Also, if he hadn't claimed this (assuming it's true) and the investigator did investigate him and he claimed after, we would almost certainly lynch him and waste a day lynching a Townie. That being said...what a great Scum gambit. Ow, my brain. I doubt there would be more than one Miller, so if anyone can refute Berty's claim, I think it would behoove us to hear it. Behoove? Since when is that word in my vocabulary?
  16. Oh Mighty Elder, pardon my insolence but I believe your count might be slightly off.
  17. Well, you were the first one. You called yourself the strongest Oak. Jumping off first is pretty noticeable.
  18. I don't think the timing is right for that. And I think it's a ridiculously risky gambit for two Scum. They'd be much more likely to both get caught.
  19. Don't miss my point. What makes him so sure Bruce is an Oak? He seems very confident. One way he could be that confident is if he's a Maple and knows that Bruce is an Oak.
  20. Why would you want Bruce to have 13 votes? Your PM to him seems to believe 100% that he is a Townie. Why are you so certain about him?
  21. I'm more than aware. But sometimes, Scum teams try to avoid voting their own members especially early in the game. It's not a great move, but it's possible. The momentum on Alastair was slow. It might've built slowly and got out of their control before they could join. And joining late or hammering him might seem like a bad idea to them. Especially since momentum has halted, they're very unlikely to join it now, again if Alastair is even Scum. But, if he is Scum and he had to appeal to the Town to stop the "bandwagon" it may tell us a lot about who voted. I've played a couple of games on both sides of the aisle... Scum might jump on the bandwagon for one of their own if the lynch is inevitable, if there's a night action result that catches them or an investigation or they're caught in a lie. If he's Scum, they might not have had a chance to plan. Or they can't unvote until Townies do. The whole request from Alastair to Bruce is bugging the shit out of me. And he's disappeared since then. Maybe that's a time zone thing.
