Yep my picture went shortly after the mods rejected my comment (but not before I contacted cust services!) - I guess the mods might be taking notice. I might add that in my comment I linked back to my original Flickr posting, that might have had something to do with the removal...

I don't really think there will be a 'blind' face - There was no difference in the film whilst Han was blind (no white eyes/black eyes/any other funny business with dodgy contact lenses), so I don't see (unintended pun) how TLG would do a blind face - apart from making him look a bit confused... Great work, and I agree, the LEDs add a lot to the realism of the scene. If I can add one suggestion, it would be to make the background to your model black or very dark green/blue. That would make it even closer to the real scene! Good job Kaitan

This is one of my bugbears. UCS isn't a scale at all. UCS stands for Ultimate Collectors Series, something that only TLG can produce and sell. Anything that proclaims to be UCS that isn't a set from TLG is just a well built,(in most cases) highly detailed, MOC. MOC's are not rare collectable sets. Kaitan

According to Bricklink that hairpiece has only been used in star wars sets - for Anakin and Mon Mothma. So if you are desperate, it looks like ebay or brick link are your only hope. Kaitan

My entry - The men at Remote Base 12 on Hoth hadn't heard from Echo Base for a week or two, but the visit from the jolly man in the red suit with the funny looking speeder certainly cheered things up a bit! Best of luck everyone! Kaitan

Thanks for the comments guys. Veers Helmet - Believe me, I tried Cheese Slopes, and every other slope that lego has, but they all look even more wrong than my final solution. I might post a few pics later. I really need a 2x2 cheese slope.... The Snowtroopers Karmas(spelling?) - I hate the way they stick out, hated the 2x4 tiles that stuck out even more. Excellent work! The scale looks perfect to me! To everyone saying "build this, build that" I suggest they try building themselves a moodland scale fig. Then they'll realise the true scale of these figures and how many bricks it would take to build vehicles for them. Again, great build as ever :) Kaitan

I was just clearing the decks from the community build, (not that I had much to clear, both my attempts were LDD!) and starting to think about the next one when a couple of brick link orders arrived. Then these guys turned up... Moodland scale General Veers and SnowTroopers. I've changed the design slightly from my LDD version, partly through lack of bricks, partly because certain aspects sucked As always, comments and constructive criticism welcome! Kaitan

I might be missing something here, but if this was done in 1992, how come it seems to use Lando's head, a piece that didn't exist until 2003? (according to bricklink) Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing piece of work and better than a lot of post licence models I've seen! Kaitan the Confused

That's the very reason why, in this instance, the new style BPs are wrong! The rebels should be outnumbered - that's why they needed the ewoks. Kaitan

I have done a small brick link order to make a couple of imperial snow troopers - soon as I can get decent pictures taken I'll post them. LDD lists them as "62577 Foreleg right" and "62578 Foreleg left" but I can't find them on brick link using those details - They look like the dragon arms to me, but it's difficult to tell , brick link's pictures aren't very good. I will say, I made this in 'Universe Mode' in LDD, meaning you can use any part in any colour, so it may not be possible to make this in real bricks... Yep I thought about making it poseable, but it took so long to get the basic shapes somewhere close to right, the thought of rebuilding it to add joints sends me into a cold sweat! Maybe if I was building it for real , but fighting with LDD has just about killed me :)
