  1. I picked up a couple of Chrome darths in TRU glasgow today. I was very happy the promo had started early, BUT the prices make it very difficult to JUST spend 29.99 on star wars lego. No single set is priced 29.99. I think we worked it out that you would actually end up spending approx. £40.00 before you qualified. Luckily there was an xwing 6212 (£44.99) that I wanted :)) and I got 4 battle packs (9.99 each) too so I could get another darth :)
  2. Sooo happy they gave the rebels proper helmets instead of the kelpies that they had in the preview pics! Wonder if there will be a spare one for Leia? Slightly dissappointed in Hans lack of camo, but hey, we got proper endor rebels and shedloads of ewoks! Happy days :)
  3. Congratulations to the winners, and well done everyone for the high standard of entries!
  4. I just keep the yellows and the fleshies away from each other, the rest (pupils, no pupils etc etc) doesn't really matter to me :)
  5. Amazing photographs, you have a great talent for composition as well as obvious technical skill
  6. Okay, your wish is my command :)
  7. Imperial Population Control Troop Transport Background - As the Empire tightened it's grip on the galaxy, a need arose for a vehicle to transport troops into area where population pacification and 're-education" was required. The PC-TT was brought into service, a fast repulsorlift craft able to manouver equally well in urban and rural settings, with capability to transport prisoners as well as stormtroopers. It has sufficient armour and weapons to defend itself against an 'unsettled' populance. Approx 300+ pieces 10 minifigs (6 stormtroopers, 1 officer, 1 driver, 2 Prisoners) MY background - This is VERY loosely based on the old Palitoy/Kenner Imperial Troop Transporter that I had when I was a kid (and still have :) ). I've made a lot of changes, the best being troops being able to get out without having to vault out of their cubby holes :) Hope you like it :) Right Side Left Side - Shows the open troop pods and the prisoner transport section and the driver's cab open. (I chose to show this because the two sides are identical and it would be boring otherwise :) ) Top View Rear View Front View Here's the gallery with much more detailed pics
  8. It's simple, but it's got great style! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the story
  9. It's pretty well understood that by the time of ANH the Empire is recuiting regular troops from various planets into its ranks, so I would assume not many clones survive to see that point in time. The Empire would probably want to crush any 'extra' individuality out of these 'non clone' troops in order to create an effective military force, much the same way armies do today. Thus the return to the plain white and black. When the forces are all clones, the empire/republic could afford to let them express some degree of individuality because they are all grown together, trained together and have similar personalities, or, as ADHO15 said, they might as well be droids otherwise. Pure conjecture on my part but it fits the facts :) Kaitan
  10. I bought it like that from bricklink. Somebody on FBTB pointed that out - my answer was I didnt have quite enough snowtroopers to balance the model properly. Then somebody else came up with this pic. - When I built it that was the only small pistol type gun I had. I didn't want to give them the full sized rifles like the snowtroopers have, I wanted them to be different, SO they got the brickarms guns. I have got some better ones now, but this dio got dismantled to build my Tantive IV Diorama so I can't replace them. Thanks to everyone for your comments they are much appreciated. Just to wet your appitites, I'm currently working on a Cloud City Dio, a land based vehicle , and a (non star wars) brickfilm. Thanks again, Kaitan
  11. I know one or two of you have probably seen this already, but I've just opened a flickr account and this seemed like a good excuse to try it out so please bear with me if you have seen this before... Basically a diorama showing an Imperial 'mopping up' squad searching for rebel survivors after the battle of hoth. Hope you like it. (and I hope I deeplinked everthing correctly!) Here's the gallery if I mucked up Snowspeeder Crash Kaitan My scratchbuilt Probe Droid EDIT: sorting out the Flickr links so the images link back to flickr, as per flickr's TOS
  12. Oooooooooooo contest Love 'em! Bring it on!! Kaitan (I WILL get a sig sorted out soon...)
  13. I really like the centaur! I've been thinking about how to do one myself for a while now, (for a fantasy MOC) and you've given me food for thought! Great work on both figures :) Kaitan
  14. The decals for Antilles came from http://www.FineClonier.com Are you trying to push me over the edge?!? Seriously, thats a job for someone with a LOT more time and money and skill than me!
  15. My favourite ship in the films and your is the best version I've seen! Brilliant! Kaitan
  16. That's actually the R2 I got with my UCS Death Star - looks possible that'll be the 'standard' R2 from now on - who knows? I personally prefer that Artoo, the old one's head decal is just too small for my liking! Yup that C3PO blooper really annoyed me when saw the pic! Note to self : make sure everything is pushed together properly! That red light is one of those red LED bricks. I tried to get a pic of Leia getting shot and captured, but that corridor is just too small -I basically ended up with a pic of a stormies back! If I decide to ever redo it (yeah right - I rebuilt this one twice before I got to THIS stage!) , I'll make a few more removeable walls to get more angles for pictures. Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome and your kind words. I hope I can live up to your expectations :) Thanks again, Kaitan
  17. Thanks Kim, I would've posted more pics, but wasn't sure about rules regarding amounts of pics allowed on the forum. Now I know :)
