Thanks for the high-resolution pics Tinn-mann That's exactly what my first thoughts were The minifigures in the CTT look awesome, despite that they included another Anakin and Ahsoka. Of course I know these are the main characters in the Clone Wars series and that's the reason why they are included often. Although in canon the CTT probably couldnt be lifted by a dropship (just look at its size) it's a great feature to be added to this set. The walker also has a great design. The wheels look a little small compared to the bodywork from this picture, but that might be the angle. As for the Wampa Attack; why include Sev Senesca in a battlepack and also in this set? With a little printing difference it could have been another pilot in either one, although including him in this one makes more sense than the battlepack. I'm looking forward to comparing the snowspeeder to the older models to see the diffrences. Cant see any obvious ones as of now, beside some stickers/colours. More high res pics wanted of the other sets!

Great work so far It looks like the 4504 Millennium Falcon, where I did a review on. There are still some big gaps, but the base is good! If you want inspiration on the interior, look at the Millennium Falcon on Wookieepedia. Here's the link on a great reference picture: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars...conInterior.jpg Keep us posted on your progress

Yes, this old preliminary was what I ment, Bossk was sand coloured. What reason would TLC have to change it to green? I hope they used the wrong head during the presentation...
-
I thought that on the preliminary box pictures (with the confidential marks on it) there was a picture of Bossk with a yellowish/sand coloured head instead of green. It would be a bit disappointing if they would not follow the movie and released him in green Han and a separate carbonite box are ingenious though.

Great find Christian No (visible) change in features on the Slave I to the previous version(s), these all had the rotating stabilizers. It would be a miss if they didnt put this in it.Han Solo in carbonite No new info on bossk yet, which in the blog baby posted is definitly Greedo instead of Bossk The power functions are definitly for display. If you look in the background (when Slave I is presented) then you'll see the january wave with power functions. I'm already looking forward to the summer release! Now come on with info on the AT-AT and Cad Banes speeder. I want more, more, more pictures...
-
Thanks for the picture baby More pictures of the Slave I needed before I make up my mind on the design. The minifigures are awesome though and make this set worth while anyways. Good point! It looks like we´re getting a new minifigure

I wish we would have had a battlepack with Endor troopers... listen to Ras74 TLC, it´s a great idea. [vingers crossed]

Thanks for the pictures You can see the latest information in the news topic, which KimT has recently updated. It says 49.99 EUR for the Wampa attack. The people who display these Starwars sets arent fans like we are, which is something we have to accept. It's like the S@H website; sometimes the sets are in the wrong subsection, CW versus classic. I like the new sets. The medical droid would have been better off with a new molded head though. Bossk looks awesome as far as I can tell. I wonder what head Anakin/Darth Vader has under that mask?! Cant tell from this picture of the box. Now it's waiting for some more details on for instance the new Grievous.

Agreed! Congrats Bigcam, welcome to the club

Great MOC! I love the snowspeeder, but the diorama has really caught my eye. It's an example of some great SNOT technic, combined with some excellent creative touches. For instance the snowtrench, and footsteps by Han look awesome. I think a few more detailed pictures of this would be in place.
-
For us not-academy-members his profile says 25%, because we cant see the RA section and this percentage is I guess therefor not counted/visible. SW being his second highest postage is visible for us. Congrats def.
-
I agree with above, although I havent build any Dioramas yet. Corridors 8 studs wide would be realistic (2 minifigs next to eachother with some space left). Also 48x48 should be the standard just like the standard baseplate, anything smaller would make combining it with other themes impossible or using streets as part of this neither. Look for instance at the exclusive buildings like the green grocer and fire brigade, theý're all build on 48x48 plates. Almost all the mocs made in town therefor are also on this scale. Just my thoughts.

You're absolutly right, to me the legs compared to the body are somewhat short. This wasnt the case with the older version. The legs should be closer together as well, but I guess thats too much to ask for a modification and would be redesigning it completly for this to make it work. I hope the new one will have the right proportions in these two points. We'll see.

Great MOD Smokebelch This is definitly one I will use myself. The two seater is fabulous... it looks so simple yet is so effective! It reminds me a bit of the AT-ST Mod (from the Endor set) by Lars which I love as well. I wonder why TLC didnt do these themselves It's not like the construction has become unstable or that many extra parts were used. The module you placed in the back, is it attached or loose? Can you make a picture of it outside the body? Well done anyways.

Got and build mine and yes I've got those 3 matt black (on the inside) panels aswell. I contacted Costumer Service via Lego.com/replacement parts/received a broken part and explained it in the memo. They've send me 3 replacement parts which are 'shiny' as they are supposed to. Thanks TLC!

Thanks for the new info/pictures My view on these pictures; Wampa looks great, disappointed on the arm though. No sign Luke will have a two-sided head, maybe a surprise later on? CTT is huge, just like the old one. The new wheels look much much better on it. Cad Bane is stuningly accurate despite some of you might have said, I'm very pleased. Also Aayla is done very well. I think sets will be pretty much final with upcoming events so near. Let the Toyfair begin I say! And keep those pictures coming!

Nice scene you created Davor This struck me too, The red guard feels out of place. Or the scene should have had the Emperor in it, but then of course without the jedi. Anyways the building technic is sound. How are those windows (wheels) connected?
-
Great scene! Here's the comparison deeplinked, so everyone can instantly enjoy it: Keep up the good work!

Great MOC It shows that you put great effort in this MOC. A well deserved thumbs up... But: Show us more pictures! More details! Maybe some features? Also I think the hangar would fit in with the republic/rebellion/Empire aswell, just some other ships/fighters and minifigures, and voilà.

Good point, that would make sense. They released double heads in de latest sets, for instance Anakin in the Freeco Bike set. I for certain would encourage TLC to do so on Starwars minifigures, except of course the clones because without helmet they would look terrible having double heads. But on sets where two situations are represented like the Hoth Wampa set or for instance a pilot with/without visor or... (you fill it in) it would be a great addition to the set. Btw is this based on any information you acquired?
-
Mmm I think the snowspeeder with Zev Senesca do fit in with this set. It was he who discovered Han and Luke, and Han has already been included in the Echo Base set. So the Wampa Attack and Echo Base set combined actually make great sense, and somehow complete the whole scenario, they're just not released in the same wave.

"Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to add an icon is insignificant next to the power of the Force."
-
Thanks for the great review I agree with legoman, the set is great. The design of the swamp speeder is very accurate! And of course Barriss Also something I only noticed thanks to this review and that is the new clone design! This is a plus too. So this set is actually an above average. No comment on the price, KimT Good question, this one is on my mind too. When the AAT containing the SBD with rocket arms came out, I thought it would be the new standard. But since then no sets appeared with SBD's and they seem to grasp back the old design in the new sets. Why?
-
"I sense something; an icon I've not felt since..." Thanks KimT

Great idea I sure hope we get to keep 'em, I'm rather proud of it. I guess the few posts I made in Watto's junkyard and the exceptional post in other categories make up the other 11%.
