  1. Maybe that is possible. I'll definitely consider it. Can you give me some info about brickstock and it's format?
  2. Does anyone know if Magenta colored torsos have ever been produced? BL says no (at least I can't find any), but I'm thinking maybe they were made in this color sometime anyway. It's a long shot, but you never know. I can find the arms in Magenta, but not the torso (BL Color "Magenta" = LEGO Color 124)
  3. Sure, I can help you. I'll PM you my mail adress
  4. I think the only way is to give it a try and see. Or you can manually edit the LXF-file and nudge a track-element a 10th of a milllimeter or so in various directions and see when it will be removed when opening the file. When it gets removed, you'll know you've bumped into a collision box
  5. Hi there And welcome to Eurobricks. Please note that the Digital Design forum is a forum where you can ask questions or share techniques etc around digital tools. If you instead want to share progress on a MOC, get design feedback etc, I recommend you instead start a topic in one of our theme forums. PS: I agree...LDD can be really additive...the funny thing is when you switch over to another program and start to right-click to rotate...
  6. Interestingly enough though, I belive the following is potentially OK. I've never seen it in an official set, but maybe one day?
  7. Well, it depends Zblj. The rules (as far as I know) are : 1) Only a single stud per element can be placed in a Technic hole, i.e. cannot put both studs of a a 1x2 plate in the two holes of a 1x2 technic brick etc. 2) Studs in Technic holes should only be used for decorations, not for structural design. So you should be able to do what Kroom says. There was even a SW mini a few years ago where a the center stud of 1x3 plate was put in a Technic hole.
  8. You can't attach a file to a post anymore, so you need to upload to a file sharing site and paste the link here.
  9. Hi Hm, I've never heard about that problem before. Can you explain more in detail when the problem occurs.
  10. LDD Manager only reads LDD files, not MLCad. But to do what (I think) you want, create the track in MLCAd, and then import the LDR-file (File > Import). If you're lucky, it will work.
  11. Well, the 4085 is actually available in both thin and thick clip. What happens is that TLG sometimes update the mold design without changing the DesignID, since they are then using the principle of "equal usage", i.e. the new design has the same function as the old. However, TLG is not all the time consequent because sometimes they do update the DesignID number when the make small alterations to the mold design. So for the 4085 and 60897, I belive both of them are today manufactured, and both with the thick clip. So in that sense we should be "lucky" that in LDD we still have at least one of them with the thin, old design.
  12. Salut Vean I found some small issues with the model: 1) The color of the two 1x1 cones in the drivers protection bar should not be transparent - it should be silver metallic 2) I see you are missing to use ID 50923 in the model (6 x 4289258). 50923 should be in LDD?
  13. I also understood it the same way hrontos did, i.e. to add graphics inside LDD itself. But let's see what Jordanbellamy says when he reads this. In any case, he's got the answer now for both cases
  14. There was fix issued a few weeks ago to remedy exactly the problems you have. That's why you get the update in the 37-or-so-MB chunks. So it's really strange that it doesn't update on your computer now. PS: It should be four chunks, not two. Do you only get two?
  15. My bad ...locking again until I can get some clear intel on this...hold on.
  16. Please refrain from using that many smileys. The forum is intended for adults, so I think the question is clear anyway. Thanks As for your question; we turned off the file sharing possibilities in the forum some weeks ago, since it was very rarely used. So for the moment, the best is to upload your LXF to a file-sharing host, and then add the link in a post or a PM.
  17. Thanks for the clarification Cwetqo It was a bit unclear on the site itself who was behind it and managed it, so that's why I asked.
  18. Interesting initiative! I have a short question: In the site it says "we" on several places, referring to the ones who operate the site. Are "we" the same four people who are mentioned in the FAQ (Rebecca Deak, Christophe Siquet, Boštjan Svetličič and Nathan Bryan)?
  19. A new issue of Hispabrick Magazine is out. Read more about it and find download links here
  20. Split the posts into a new, separate topic.
  21. TIP: Snot-building in general really messes up the BI. If you remove everything that's built on from the sides (wheels on tyres, snotted bricks etc), and put that on the scene floor as a separate assembly, that usually makes the BI much better.
  22. No, no worries. It was more a personal opinion being expressed
