Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Jay_Em replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I do hope we get a second wave of Marvel in 2015. As great as the AoU sets should be, there are so many other characters we could be delving into. Just so long as they're not all Spiderman sets... -

Do we know when/how the Rocket Raccoon poly will be available in the UK? -

Cheers Yeah, it will just be MCU characters I think. High likelihood of Coulson, but the others less so. I'd be more than happy with just Steve Rodgers, Banner, Stark, etc. in normal clothing. -

That looks like a really cool model, do you have a link to further images of it? -

Wow, those set names are new. Where did you get that info, if you're able to say? Edit- beaten by just2good. Anyway, analysing those set names- "Iron Man"- either a set containing him, or the Hulkbuster. The price suggests its not the latter. "Offroader, with Thor"- Similar to the Loki Chase set from 2012 I imagine, hopefully a fairly different type of offroader. Nice to get Thor in a cheaper set. " Hulk, Scarlet Witch"- could be a Hulkbuster set, or another set with Hulk and Scarlet, hard to tell. "Spaceship, Captain America"- either spaceship is a massive spoiler for AoU, or it refers to the new quinjet. I think it's the latter, as a Hasbro Quinjet set with Cap's motorcycle was recently shown, based on AoU. "Avengers Tower" - The price listed suggests it will be more of a play set than the 1500 piece Avengers Tower we all want. "Avengers Fortress" - No idea. Maybe it connects to the Tower somehow? I'm guessing these set names are just vague descriptions for retail catalogues and such, so Fortress could mean anything at all. -
Very pleased with this photo I took recently- Deployment on Endor [2] by --Jayem--, on Flickr I have a few other non-Star Wars photos on my Flickr if you're interested.

Alright, thanks very much for the clear, concise answer. -

I assume that's because of licensing? How is it any different to X-Men sets, which Fox also owns the rights to and Lego have been able to make sets of? Genuine question. -

That's a bit disappointing, considering we got 9 this year. Fantastic Four is coming out next summer, is it not possible they'd make a set to coincide with that? -

Thanks for the info. Bit of a shame there's no January wave with non-MCU sets, like we had the past two years, but I'm sure the AoU sets will be good. -

Just to clarify, we're only getting Avengers AoU sets in 2015? So no January wave? -
Yeah the shoulders greebling especially is unbelievably loose. I think putting a 3L bar through the end will fix it, though.

Mine arrived yesterday, built it this morning. Great model, but has anyone else found the connection at the wrist, to the end of the barrel, to be really loose? It kinda surprised me as I thought the barrel was used to make the arm sturdier.

Do you think Benny's Spaceship will be available for long? I don't want to risk waiting 6 months, and finding it's out of stock or something.

The MTT isn't bad in itself, but I'm guessing it will be more expensive than the 2007 version, despite having less parts, less minifigures, and being smaller overall. This is the trend LEGO is following- see the Sail Barge, Republic Gunship, AT-TE...

Cheers AC and adventurer, that's very helpful.

First off, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I couldn't see anywhere else more appropriate. Basically, I'm thinking of building a cave for a Brickfilm, using tan as the primary colour. Could anyone link me to a good example of an MOC using tan in this way, so I can see how well it will work before I place a Bricklink order? Thanks.

Looks like a May release- you can see the top of an 'M' with 2014 next to it at the bottom. If it said March, you would see the top of the 'h'.

Thanks Joker. I set the camera to a 4 second exposure at f/8. The lighting effect is just from a free app on my phone, where you can turn the screen different colours to produce a glow. One other shot, this time with a bit more of a scene-

I tried a few Smokebelch-style photographs with my new camera, fairly pleased with how they turned out, especially the level of detail.

Wow, didn't realise we were getting an Ithorian! And the cantina looks great, hopefully it'll have an acceptable price in the UK (As low as £60?) Not sure about the stormtrooper design mould though, they've been the same since 1999 almost.

Huw on Brickset.com says it will cost £70, interestingly.

The new battle packs are great, glad LEGO ditched the 2 vs 2 format.

How limited will this set's availability be? If I want one, should I order right now, or can I wait another couple of months?
