Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Jay_Em replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great to get some clear pictures. Iron Man vs. Ultron: a very respectable army builder for the price. While Ultron drones are obviously good to have lots of, I think this will open up a lot more fanmade Iron Man variants as well, having him in such a low price + high quality set. Hydra Showdown: Probably the least talked about set of the wave, but it looks like a very solid entry into the standard £20 / 3 minifigures category that Lego Superheroes has excelled in so far. Both vehicles look good, and it's great to have Thor in a sub £50 set. Hawkeye also looks much better than the last version. Hulk Buster Smash: possibly the best of the lot, the Hulk Buster apparently looks amazing IRL and again, it's great to have Hulk in a sub £50 set, though I'm not sure about the pale green and shorts printing. Might look better IRL as well. Quinjet City Chase: looks fantastic. A great selection of minifgures here, Cap and Black Widow look much improved. Looks like the best variant of Ultron is here, and they've thrown in another Iron Man as well. Not quite sure about Vision, the pale green and deep pink seems a bit odd, I think normal green might work better (spoiler warning). A great minifgure to have anyway. As for the Quinjet, it looks beautiful here, perhaps even on-par with the Milano. White and dark blue looks so good. I really hope it has an interior, and they haven't wasted the internals on a motorbike launcher (both would be preferable!) For £60, a must get, surely? Attack on Avengers Tower: not too impressed. It just looks pretty bland. Iron Legion and mangled Ultron are nice figures, but the tower itself is a bit boring. Certainly doesn't do enough to justify the £70 price tag. Think this is the weakest of the lot. All in all, a very strong wave- Avengers Tower is, ironically, the only one that isn't immediately compelling. Only the Hydra Fortress to go now. And something beginning with H? -

CapnRex101 of Brickset was at the Toy Fair, and has praised the Hulkbuster several times, apparently the pictures don't do it justice. -

We know nothing about the Helicarrier but rumours. There are no pictures of it. There are no pictures relating to summer sets; the London Toy Fair doesn't allow them. -

I think BrickFanatics said it has a crane of some sort. -

The two Marvel sets this summer both sound quality, lots of new minifigures there. 2015 is shaping up to be a great year for Marvel. -

Yeah haha, we've known about that for ages. It's the Helicarrier. Thanks though. -

CapnRex101 of Brickset will have a rundown of all Licensed sets from the Toy Fair up sometime today. No pictures of course. -

Yeah both are £20 here. I'm pretty sure you're right, we get a £20 set with a hero, a villain and a third character plus a vehicle every year, this fits the bill and we haven't gotten one yet for 2015 -

Nothing really, other than it contains Miles Morales Spiderman. And it's 'Carnage vs. Spiderman'. -

I got the entire Wolverine's Chopper Showdown set for £30 on eBay, complete with minifigures, including Deadpool. If you really want one I'd keep an eye out for the set on eBay. -

Just noticed that the margin description says it's £60. Did you mean £60 will be the actual price, or the £70 shown in the label on top of the set picture will be the actual price? -

Are Argos prices ever inflated? I thought the Quinjet was rumored at £60. -
Beautiful! Think you nailed it.

I did something very similar with the hood and the doors, but that A-pillar change is very clever- gonna have to steal that! apologies for the awful quality of this image, had to resize it downwards in imgur.

If we had the helicarrier pics I think someone would have posted them here by now... -

How can you guys tell what the Quinjet I'm impressed you can make all that out from the picture we have, I don't see a hatch myself. Not being able to see how 'deep' the Quinjet is makes it hard to judge -hopefully it has some kind of interior though. -

I think it's more that Cap's face looks strange without a helmet, as the flesh has to be printed on top of blue. And his head looks small compared to other characters. It's not a massive problem though. -

Release date in the US is May 1st (us Europeans get it early though!) so I think April is a good bet. Certainly no earlier than late March. -

Guess I'll buy the Quinjet in June to get the Winter Soldier. 2015 is gonna be Marvel's year by the sound of it. What date might the Helicarrier reveal be? -

I'm pretty sure these sets aare coming out in April, otherwise we'd have heard far more about them. Marvel wouldn't allow toys depicting scenes from the film to be released so soon anyway. Sorry... -

This is definitely incorrect. I think they confused the AoU sets and the rest of the new Lego sets. AoU will be released around April. -

The Quinjet looks great, I'll probably save up for that. Can't say any others stand out particularly, but it seems a pretty strong wave nevertheless. Hulkbuster looks pretty nice.
