  1. The Ant Man set will go down as a classic, I'm sure. Genius on Lego's part.
  2. FBTB has videos of the sets, including one of the Quinjet. Annoyingly they don't show the rear hatch opening, but there's a shot of the underside. Looks like the hull is made of two large pieces, that open to drop the motorbike.
  3. I feel a little like you're convincing yourself this is a good set after waiting for it so long ;) Nah, you're of course entitled to your opinion and I shouldn't mock it. I just think that it doesn't have much going for it, yes Cap is in the Quinjet but that has several other exclusive figures too so I imagine most will consider it anyway. The models themselves aren't great from what we can see, Hulk is in the cheaper Hulkbuster, so the only real strong points of the set are Quicksilver and Von Strucker. For the price, I don't think it's much to shout about.
  4. Looks like the Hydra sets are the weakest in this wave. This one is possibly the worst of them all.
  5. Yeah, I noticed that too. Annoyingly no one took pictures of the back, so the wait goes on.
  6. FBTB has photos up. It shows that the Quinjet has a compartment for the motorcycle behind the cockpit, but annoyingly they didn't photograph the rear, which looked as though it has an opening hatch in other images. Either way, the Quinjet looks fantastic.
  7. You're most excited for the Hydra Fortress?
  8. Looks very much like him!
  9. I actually don't, someone else on here mentioned it when the prelims were leaked. If you look in that Flickr stream you can see the prelims, and there's a trans-blue piece around Sandman.
  10. Check out this guy's Flickr stream for much better pictures of the Marvel sets. Also here. Interestingly Sandman doesn't have the Chima ice piece around his legs that the leaked pictures showed, guess it's not been moulded in tan yet?

  12. Yeah, Iron Spider has single-colour printing, which is bizarre given how Lego is almost over-detailing it's figures these days. Could be a prototype though. No Ant-Man micro figure is a curious omission, I guess technically the figures in the set are already in miniaturised form, hence the giant ant and Lego bricks, but you'd have thought they'd put one in anyway.
  13. The Carnage set looks great, especially for the rumoured £13 price point. Seems too good to be true. Miles Morales' hands are bright red and stand out a bit, easily fixed though. The Ant Man set is definitely carried by it's minifigures, which all look superb. The ant is a bit meh, and the oversized Lego bricks are a novelty I guess- I wonder if they appear in the film? Will probably be worth it just for the excellent minifigures though. I'm not sure about the Sandman/Rhino set either. I'm not sure what CapnRex101 thought was so good about the Rhino mech, is seems fairly average to me, probably need better pictures though. Iron Spider looks good and the leg printing on Spiderman is nice, but Sandman is essentially just his normal self on top of a strange tan brick tower. I'm not sure what the purpose of the large black plate in the middle is either, some sort of play feature I imagine. So yeah, a bit of a strange set. Green Goblin is tad cartoonish, but it's way better than nothing.
  14. Yeah, the one on the ant seems much darker... might be spoiling the film somewhat.
  15. From the Toy Fair.
  16. Spiderman has red printing on his legs, is that new? And the Ant Man figures are great!
  17. Been out of the loop completely with Star Wars 2015, just noticed yet another 'Hoth Echo Base' set is scheduled for October... does Lego have some kind of commitment to release Hoth playsets? We get a surprising number.
  18. Absolutely fantastic. Your versions of the Doctors are all great, and it's a good recreation of the newest TARDIS interior. Only seems to be missing William Hartnell's Doctor?
  19. Well this is interesting Looks like Amazon is sending out Age of Ultron sets. Did anyone guess 'mid-February' for the release date? I certainly didn't....
  20. I hope we get at least one set for each of the upcoming films, but it'll be interesting to see how the play it when we go to 3 films a year. May and July just about fits, if the January wave becomes March, but the November films- Doctor Strange, Thor Ragnarok, and Captain Marvel- will be between waves. I hope we don't miss out on characters from those films. Incidentally, now that we're getting an MCU Spiderman film, we're only going to get more sets based on him, but at least a redesign is likely now. The version from 2002 is better than the current one.
