Ultimate Collectors Scale All Terrain Armoured Transport
Darth Legolas replied to cavegod's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Taken from Rockoh's design, but added a few personal touches, yes? It's obviously brilliant and extremely impressive, but the most amazing thing is that you built it right off of a picture! You figured the whole thing out! Now give it a motor and remote control! -
This is great! I like the original just as much, but this is very creative, so it gets plus points just for the idea! I like the SNOT!

Motorized AT-AT - backordered for 10th Jan. 2011!?
Darth Legolas replied to pdxbricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's really annoying. The same thing sort of happened to me with the Swamp Speeder, I ordered it the first day it was available on backorder, then it became available a week later, but they still never sent me the package. Lego told me they accidentally skipped my order, so I canceled it and instead just bought one at the Lego store. They still won over me. I haven't seen 10178 around here in months, but if you really want those couple of X-wings I may be able to help you. My local TRU has at least 40 of them! X-wings have taken up 6 entire shelves of the Lego section. The entire side of the Lego section, and most of the Star Wars section interspersed with old CW sets. I just read that you are getting the X-wings. My bad. Lego's really over-stalking them though! It's crazy. I know Lego can't cancel your order without notification, and I doubt that they are actually planing to ship out AT-AT's next year, so I would assume either they changed the backorder date until next year to prevent more people from ordering the set, and they can just distribute the ones they have and be done with it, or they are just ending the set right now, and they'll have to give you a refund. BL has them pretty cheap right now, only $30 more for mint. Call up customer service and see what's up, and if they are discontinuing the set now, I'd buy it on BL before the price goes up. It makes sense that TLG is ending the AT-AT now and making room for the new one, but there is a huge difference in the two. 10178 is a bit bigger, and it's also for expert-er builders, while the one comming out this summer seems quite simple. -
This is so going to be frontpaged! What an excellent MOC! Your use of the gold knight thigh-guards is brilliant! The gate and roof are absolutely my favorite parts! The Adventurer beasts work perfectly in their place, but the building directly above the gate is so cool! The pond is very neat, and the building is extraordinarily innovative! The ground is also very natural-looking. Nice work putting the festival's logo into the MOC itself! Great work!

EDIT: Oh... PAB! I thought you said Peeron! Samuraiturtle is probably correct then. The Kingdoms helm is too new. Taking a wild guess, I think it might be this: It's kind of sad that Lego's going to put minifig customizers out of business. I'm sure they'll still make a profit from people buying in bulk. That's one thing Lego can't compete with. That seems to be metallic dark gray. It could also be the Persian guard helmet from PoP. They come in that color.

Shweet! I love the speederbike! I had no idea that anybody could actually put those stands to good use in Star Wars! People have done some innovative things with that piece, but the simplicity is just genius! Now I have to go and put mine to work! I just bough the set for the Soldiers! EDIT: Handlebars=Brilliant

Clash of the Titans 2010
Darth Legolas replied to tin7_creations's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
The minifigs are perfect! Absolutely stunning! No complaints here. Well, not about the minifigs. I can't say the same for the movie itself. -
People still openly use that and completely forget that I was the only believer few months before! This is a very nice base, Hewman! The inside could use a bit more detail, and the outside too, but this is well off as it is, and with a couple of AT-AT's, you could do the whole battle!

Isn't 7245 a pretty old set? 2005, right? I like this new piece, it's an improvement, but it definitely can't replace the old one! Where'd you get the set? If it was bricklink, it's most likely a very interesting flub/mis-mold. If it was storebought, it would be very, very unlikely that Lego were to begin replacing the piece by selling the new one through old sets, so it could be a mis-mold again, or a strange tactic by Lego.

You say it like you couldn't tell from the title! Get some magnetix! That's the revolution!

2 words: Toystory heads.
-
Wait... now I'm confused. 6212 has the old R2 head. In the poster he has the new one, but the set has the old one. So I don't know what "this one" is. Can you please explain what you mean? I think that it's just a misprint in the typo, but they could be putting the new R2 head into the sets. I was recently at ToysRus, and they had at least 40 X-wings stacked up, which was pretty weird to me.

Topic title editing requests
Darth Legolas replied to DarthSion's topic in Forum Information and Help
Whoa... board! Please pay attention! Why does this topic have my topic title, but DarthSion's topic? Oh, I see. In the merger you used my topic title! What an honor! -
In the new Prince of Persia sets, the axes are straight up awful quality. Despite what many say, I'm one of the few who actually like Lego's direction, with new themes, but mostly a larger selection of pieces. The new way has it's flubs, such as some blurry printing, and markings under some minifig arms, but all around the pieces are getting more intricate and much better. This really ticks me off though: In the above picture by our member Clone O'Patra, in his Battle of Alamut review, you can see that for some ridiculous reason, Lego has put their label and piece information on the side of the axe. It also has an awful mark on the side. Clearly a result of cheap plastic production. So can any ambassador tell me, please, why Lego would put such obvious markings on their pieces, when the old ones were perfectly fine, just the way they were? This is the most obvious of all piece markings I've ever seen! It's really an awful sight! Why? Thanks, Darth Legolas

Republic Gunship - 7676 production Length
Darth Legolas replied to AMuller396's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Buy the next one you see! I highly doubt it will be around for much longer, as it hasn't been in stores around here for a while. It's continuation is on it's last legs! I had to MOD the set a lot, but overall it's great, and probably one of the few remakes better than the original. -
Did you know that gullible isn't in the dictionary?

Not funny. Just sad. Who am I kidding? This is hilarious.

It's April Fools day, silly! Very nice looking though! I would love it!

REVIEW: Prince of Persia 7572 Quest Against Time
Darth Legolas replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
When you say exclusive, you mean in the color, right? I have about 20 of 'em. (The lion heads.) I like this set a bit more now. Do you have a picture of the light brick? It's the new non-exo force kind, right? I have one in red. -
What to call the new Prince of Persia colour?
Darth Legolas replied to Etzel's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego could name it in your honor! They do have a habit of sending out strange color names, in my opinion (trans dark brown!) Nipplehaal would be an interesting word to pop (PoP) up the next time Lego gives us their internal color pallet! Just putting it out there, Mango-Cookie Fusion! -
Thanks Anio! Of course, this is still a prototype. Calm down everyone! Luke's face is still yellow! To be honest, I kind of like it. It's very reminiscent of the old one! The head's at a pretty odd angle in that picture, but at least it has interior! It looks a little bit short, but you can tell it isn't, really. It is a lot smaller, unfortunately, but on the bright side, it could house a few play features. The one thing that Lego must fix on that thing, is to make the disks above the upper legs printed. They can't be bigger like the other two, but they at least should look good!

What to call the new Prince of Persia colour?
Darth Legolas replied to Etzel's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just got a PoP set or 2. I haven't even opened the second one (Ostriches, oh boy!) but I'm loving the great variety of pieces -new pieces- in such a small set! It's great. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that from the pictures, it seems the axe in the Ostrich Race will have a label on the side? Can anyone clarify if that's for all axes? Couldn't they have just kept it the way it was? Anyway, sorry Svelte, but I voted for the funny one. -
REVIEW: Racers 2010 UK Daily Mirror promotional sets
Darth Legolas replied to Fugazi's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Lucky Brits! Hey Lego, pack it in with the times! I like a few of these, some are just plain ugly to me. 30030 is ugly, but a nice source of parts, same with 30033, the two from last year are great, the off-roader could use a function and some detail, but modding can fix that, and finally, the tow truck, is a piece of garbage. Just a quick question, what is the white cardboard String/Cape/Cloth holder doing in 7801 and 7802? -
