I should have said that the $380 is the price during KMart's sale. Again this was just some speculation I read at another forum, but given they are currently sitting on shelves at $450 that works out at about 15% off, and therefore seems plausible to me.

Just read on an Australian SW collecting site that somebody knows a KMart manager who stated that the dropship/AT-OT will be $380. Got to say this is a bit more than I would have liked, but at the end of the day it looks like a great kit, and buying it from retail means know Shop@Home postage (or potential postage issues, given the comments made on this thread latetly). Also at $380, there's no way I can justify a second one, and that is a good thing (for my home life ).

I did think there was comment that LEGO wanted to release this kit at BrickWorld and asked that communities didn't discuss or release any links until then. But perhaps I was thinking about the Merry go round. Anyway no big deal that it didn't get shown, I can ill afford it given their upcoming lineup, so the longer till we know that's fine by me.

BigW no have a preview of their toy sale (spectacular) on line. Its the catalogue without the prices. I do notice that the Venator / Y-Wing and midi- Falcon are shown along with a caption "First at BigW". I said this a few posts earlier, all these exclusives and some sets in some shops is really tedious. In years gone past I've been able to go to one shop and get all the kits I wanted. Now it looks like a few trips to different shops. Anyway here's the link And Space Police is listed as Exclusive to BigW (though no Maximum Security Transport).

Was at my local KMart today and saw they had about a dozen dropships/AT-OT. They had a list price of $449.95. I am surprised by this price, I thought at worse it would be level with LEGO shop. Hopefully they have a good starting discount. The box is huge on this kit, it was impressive, I know I'll shelve out for it when the sale starts (shame they didn't apply the 20% SW discount to it). No Death Stars, only a whole bunch of Separatist Shuttles for the SW range. They did also have a good range of the new City sets.

These exclusives are starting to become tedious. I got a Toyworld catalogue today and in it they have Ahsoka's fighter for $79.95, with a note next to it "don't pay $89.95"...... well Toyworld you're the only one selling this kit, so you set the price. I am really keen for that Troll Mountain Fortress, but have had a hard time justifying buying (giving how much SW stuff there is). When I saw it was an exclusive and I knew it would never be cheap I was somewhat relieved, as I won't be paying $150 for it. But as stated by svelte.... we shouldn't panic just yet, so maybe I'll still have to deal with that dilemma when KMart have it 20% off. I tempted to get that Endor kit soon, I haven't had a new LEGO kit for months and months

Was at KMart today and saw a decent selection of the new kits. They had the City (Garage / tow truck / pizzashop + bus). They had one SW kit, the Separatist shuttle. I thought I was going to be able to get it at 20%, but the current SW sale at KMart precludes LEGO. It's a nice looking kit up close (was just under $58). I assume it'll be reduced come toy sale time.

Thanks for the heads up on the Boulder Blaster, I like this kit, and at $40 that's more reasonable. I haven't seen any SSD's for some time, wonder if they've got some more in, though I really detest the way TrU label their prices as "Great value" / "Hot price" - they are bordering on deceptive.

Great news that some of the Shop@Home exclusives will now be at retail. The news of Endor being Toyworld only is a shame to be honest. If Ahsoka's fighter is any gauge we'll be paying $210 - $220 for it. And as good a kit as it is, that will be hard to justify. Actually one thing that strikes me flicking through the LEGO catalogue is how many exclusives there are. Just seems odd that LEGO make these kits then only release them in selected retailers. And in Brisbane we don't have an abundance of Toyworld's and Toys R us are even rarer. Anyway let's hope for 15-20% off the dropship in the July sales.

Yes hopefully the Toy sales deliver some good deals this year. I wonder if KMart might have the Death Star, given recent years somebody will be bound to get this kit (perhaps DJ's). As suggested this might be the time Pirates is released, that would be great, especially at cheap introductory prices. I'd say it's too early for the new wave of SW kits to be part of the sales. And last year I found this best place to get early scans of the catalogues was on baby websites (my Wife spent ages on these leading up to the birth of our little boy) and it seemed like there was someone who knew somebody at the printers or the stores themselves. Those pregnant women were a lot more crazed for sales then us LEGO buyers.

Thanks for the review. This is a nice looking kit. I really liked the ROTS version, but this does look better (and honestly when does TLC not improve when they re-release a set). I think a few of these sitting together will look rather nice. The Clone jetpack looks pretty impressive too. That catapult does seem a little pointless, I like how TLC has added "play-ability" to sets, but if the set doesn't naturally have an option they should just ignore it, surely the flick missile was enough. Another well done kit TLC.

Really nice collection legopiotre. Seeing your CTT make some wonder if they'll re-do it at some point. GIven the upgrades LEGO have done on the Gunship and AT-TE, it would be a very impressive kit if they did re-do it.

I can't help but buy multiples. The recent CW LEGO sets were that good did go back and buy some doubles. I did also buy quite a few multiples when the Episode III line came out, I have a heap of the ARC-170's and the Tank Droid (Wookie Attack kits). To be honest I wish I hadn't bought the doubles (or triples) of those kits, as I really don't have a use for them anymore. Though in saying that it didn't stop me buying all those CW kits. I did once think about doing some dioramas, but those plans are on hold (well at least until my kids grow up).

I agree, the Venator looks good. Though I do also agree that the pilot area seems a little underdone. The design of this ship is really good, I love seeing them on the CW series. This is a must have for me, and that Palpy figure is really good.

Nice review. This is one of the few kits I've built and left together. It was a well thought idea, and being able to connect those 2 small kits was a good option. Though I'd imagine if they re-make this kit, they'll do a very good job.

Since the AT-OT / Dropship is now available I'm wondering if anyone is interested in doing a trade (I've posted this is this Aussie forum to start with as I figured this would be best traded in Australia). I have quite a few older kits (4483 AT-AT / 4504 MF / 6211 Star Destroyer / 7163 Gunhip / 4482 AT-TE / 10123 Cloud City). All kits are MISB, I have a few of the smaller kits as well (X-Wing / Slave 1 / Tie Fighter / ARC-170). Anyway if anyone has any interest PM me and we can work something out. Thanks

There is (or was) one at South Brisbane, across the road from the Brisbane Convention centre. The one day is was there they didn't open until 10.00am, and it was about 9.50am and they wouldn't let me in. They had heaps of kits in there and a few little tables (like the ones you see at David Jones). I wonder if they get those magnet sets in, would be great to get them from there.

I'm pretty sure they started last year with 15% off as their sale, but it changed back to 20% as the year went on (i'm sure they had 20% off by the time the July toy sale started). I wonder what set KMart will have for that sale this year, last year it was the UCS MF, wonder if they'll get the Death Star in ?? I'd love if they got that CW dropship.
