  1. This is indeed a big improvement of your earlier works. There are more details on it and the shape (with nice thumblehome ) is also good. maybe you'd better use some more hull pieces, the ship shouldn't be too short. And it's 'HMS', do may I suppose it will be for the british/redcoats?
  2. Nice scene a bit crowded but I think it was just as crowded in the real battle. I don't think it's a good idea for that soldier to look through his binoculares in the middle of such a battle And I'm glad we dutch people are also represented (by one man ) and I also like the parrot
  3. if this is the same pirate as the last moc, I think he'd better shoot himself, that's less painful than burning But I don't care, actually I rather like seeing a pirate with lots of pain :pir-skull:
  4. Nice MOC But you forgot the thing to shut the cannonhole with. I like the rat on the bottom and also the lantern, small but great details And ofcourse the gunblast is also nice but that's (like you said) a stolen idea.
  5. My brother has just bought the game, so I've just seen it. It's a funny game but not very impressive, I like the ships of the POTC-ds game more. But the gameplay is nice, a bit like age of empires. I really hope they will make a computer game with lego pirates&imperials, I think that would be fun and the lego-part can be seen a lot better on a big screen. I haven't seen the imperial minifig's yet, they had to be unlocked or something like that.
  6. So, an advanced civilization. an island with only redcoats I suppose, so it's a bit strange that the first thing they build is a jail for themselves well, that was the defensive part, now without my personal opinion nice idea to make this, and the part with june, 25th - june, 26th is also very funny! well, they have built a good shelter, I think they can survive without any problems untill the next ship passes by (or they just make their own ship of the line on the island )
  7. Ah..now I see well, you (or 'michaelozzie) made it very good! I've read the wikipedia text. So is this the situation at about 18.00? Looks like it because the French almost take the fort here.
  8. the ship is a bit silly but I think the main purpose was making us laugh and you succeeded I think the accuracy was not very important but that doesn't matter. It's just a funny thing!
  9. I liked the ending of the movie very funny, suddenly those pirates who steel the ship
  10. well well... just back from the dark age and the first thing he does is building a hanged man.. funny MOC!
  11. Nice tumblehome and figurehead! I only wonder how you are going to make the stern on it, could be a little hard when you make the gundeck so low. well, good luck on it!
  12. Ah, I understand about that, well, maybe you can make it less deep next time or make it so turble that you can't see all the way to the bottom so you only have to make the highest part of rocks below surface (but I don't know if that's possible) it doesn't really matter anyway ofcourse
  13. I always wanted to try to put a lego ship in real water, but my mom didn't let me because it would be too hard to make everything dry again. So it's great to see what it really looks like The city (and especially the buildings ofcourse) look also very great. It's only a bit strange that there is nothing under the surface of the city, but that's not such a big problem.
  14. great how you made the prefab. rock vertical on top like that The whole thing looks really nice, and funny And the skull on the rocks does the job
  15. This ship makes me very happy! looks awesome! I believe it's one of the only pirate ships that's so powerful! if I were you, I would only have put some more work on the masts since they look a bit silly compared to the impressive hull. Great MOC
  16. This is a REAL pirate ship, it's got the classic lego feeling (like some people said before) and the classing pirate feeling over it. The stern didn't really scare me, but it looks very nice as well
  17. So is this his punishment? being left alone on an unhabited island? Poor guy, but at least he still has a nice powder horn (he can always commit suicide if he's too sad
  18. I don't think it's easier to get 20 of these instead of 20 lego cannons, it shouldn't be so hard to get them, just take a look at bricklink.com (but these look also great, especially the one with the weapon of Amsterdam
  19. I voted for bluecoats, but for me it's the same as French
  20. Very nice I spot some influences of the Formidable in it, but indeed, this one is gonna be a lot bigger! Great that you are also going to make toilets in it, a lot of officers are always pissed off because they don't have one Anyway, I can't wait for the real ship (and for your first shipment). I also got a shipment today, you can help me some time to make it better, give information and make+post pictures of it. btw, was it those pictures in the redcoat's letter? or just the building plan?
  21. I believe that's one of the 'old cannons' I mentioned already (I have 1 with a brown and 1 with a green cannon base) So it's still 2 (+yours)
  22. Very nice scene! I love that cannon I don't know this 'famous scene', but I don't know a lot about the battle of Waterloo anyway, so what scene is it? (btw, a cool background could finish this one )
  23. I'm answering quite late on this topic because I was so busy with counting my cannons. I turned out to have 2 old cannons and 1 custom made cannon , but I'm renting that one from Cap'n Blackmoor. I will order a bunch of them as soon as I have enough money again. There is already a shipment on it's way right now.
  24. Nice interview It's always interesting to hear the story of the man behind the legofreak
  25. the cannons of this fake BSB are really awful, but the swords Lego should make silver pirate swords as well, that would be a very nice thing to have.
