Those guys look awesome! Made me think of these things worn in WW1,: ...but I didn't know this type of headgear was so old! A good way to defeat the enemy is just to scare the ** out of them The bayonets look also very nice
-
nice job on the water, looks very real. the lanterns are also a nice detail. good luck on the rest of your projects
-
Great decals! I like the frontier scouts a lot, since they are quite important and I haven't seen them on this forum before. And it's a pity there is no real lego wig yet because that's the way you see him on most pictures. But this is a good alternative. nice job
-
Nice house (with those pillars), the ship's wheel is also a nice add to give it a more pirate-look. Like some other people said there are some interesting trees in it as well.
-
Ofcourse I had already seen the decals, but not on a minifig. It looks great! And I really like the carronade! I have seen another way to build one but that uses black barrels and they are hard to get here.. So this one is better for me. It's only quite big for an 18-gun ship (or something like that) like I'm building And those are indeed good sources of inspiration, don't forget the visiting of ships (like Joey said) ---> sunday the VOC-ship Amsterdam
-
Very nice! with giants like this one you only need 1 person to crush an army, so it's also very useful
-
You did a good job on this one! The head suits very nice again and I also like the coat, it looks rather complex.
-
This sure is the best Napoleon I've seen so far, good work on the arm. It only misses the red flower that can be seen on you avatar
-
Great Port! and for most, it's very big I think it's very save for a ship to go there. It has a lighthouse (with nice bridges) and a strong fort. I also like the way you've build the brown dock-part, really inspiring. The whole thing could only use some more details, but it's very impressive already
-
Very cruel idea skipper. But the bluecoat is still smiling...did you forget to turn the sound on? Well, you can always switch it on because you've tied him so well that I don't think he will escape
-
Very fine vessel Béjaune! I'm very proud to be part of the same fleet I would like to know how you made this part: And I mean the brick on the side of the ship where the ropes go to (with all the black things). Could you make that a bit clearer to me?
-
Maybe something for the index? This will always be useful, so everyone will always be able to see it there.Just a suggestion

REVENGE! SO here I go: My good friends General Armendariz and Captain Blackmoor came visiting me today, so I had to do something special. I always have a lot of Redcoats in the cargo hold so I decided to do something with them. Take that you scurvy dogs!
-
So the redcoats are cannibals...interesting...doesn't surprise me original idea, 1 image can say just as much as 4
-
I also thought about that when I wrote it! So we could also just have read the book to find the secrets instead of risking Bluehair his life...
-
Fortunately there is still a head (and some other bodyparts) of capt. Bluehair so he can tell us the secrets of the Unicorn. Wasn't very smart to keep him alive For the rest: nice little story, good sense of humor
-
Good entry! Can't be much more cruel.. But ofcourse you should know that the more cruel you torture us, the more cruel we will torture the redcoats :pir-skull:

Did you look at me when you say short and fat?!
Admiral Croissant replied to alexandertam's topic in Pirate MOCs
Oops, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant, there could be a new tournament just to insult Napoleon and then this could be one of the entry's Well, my joke didn't turn out very well, no point. And maybe you can do something like remove a hand and paint one on the decal. You could try that, but I don't think it will work very well. You're right, lego doesn't have anything to make that in a good way.. -

Good decal And funny story, I only miss the thing that Napo's hand isn't in his suit, but that's too difficult with lego ofcourse And you should have posted this in the Redcoats vs. Napoleon Tournament of Retribution -
From wikipedia: Top hats started to take over from the tricorne at the end of the 18th century; a painting by Charles Vernet of 1796, Un Incroyable, shows a French dandy (one of the Incroyables et Merveilleuses) wearing such a hat. So one of the first painting is of a french man wearng the top-hat. Anyway, the point is that there were top-hats at the time (though it's uncertain wich nation was the first wearing them). And another thing, the famous ship HMS Surprise used to be french and the british copied our shp design like Blackmoor said. And even in the 18th century France was the centre of fashion so the british copied to much french things to count

Well, I believe those bluecoats were robots as well. We use them to make the redcoats think they are great and we are silly. So when they think that they become reckless and send only small armies to defeat us. And then it's very easy for us to win. Anyway, the idea for this is very good, nice entry!
-
How about this? Look at the guy in the left And btw, nice entry Blackmoor! Show them no mercy because they don't deserve it!

The Lion of Luebeck (sistership of the Adler)
Admiral Croissant replied to maydayartist's topic in Pirate MOCs
I only mean that your bow could be more like this: instead of this: See the difference? Not a big issue, but it would look nicer if you make a roof on every hullpiece and then make the galleon in front of all that..of something like that -

Very nice ship, thing I really like about it are the way you've put the gunports on it, and the stern and the doors to the decks below. Maybe you could change the bowa little (just look at some ship-pictures and I think you'll see what I mean. But it really looks great and the colours are also perfect for this kind of ships, good luck with the sails!
