  1. Nice vignette, but indeed some details like a krab and different colour-tiles in the sea would give it an extra nice touch. It's a very small MOC so there isn't much else I can say something about. The idea of a mutiny is very funny
  2. First of all, that name is really quite funny Thing I like: The colourscheme (nice red and black), the sailplan (very realistic) and ofcourse the crew. Possible improvements: Try to make a tumblehome and make the great cabin a little less boxy. For the rest you did a great job. Does it also have an interior? I'd like to see the inside of the great cabin
  3. Very nice ship, I love it good colourscheme, nice stern. Only the yellow headrail-things on the bow don't look so good, look at some pictures and you see what I mean. But that's just a detail, the rest is really great and I'm eager to see this with sails and crew and stuff.
  4. Have you made a shipyard yet? otherwise that might be a good idea.
  5. Very nice, very medieval I like the gate a lot, and also the black bricks in it. I think it could use some more details though. Maybe some barrels, flags, torches and stuff like that.
  6. All very nice decals! Pirate decals are always welcome. I see that a lot of your decals are modified 'real' torsos, are you also planning to make some more completely self-made torso's?
  7. Well, it might not be historical accurate, but it's still better than no lighthouse at all And I don't mind anyway because it's a very nice building. I'd say, creativity in the first place, that's more important than historical accuracy. Finally, the stairs look very good and I also like the use of hands for the fish
  8. Nice interview, nice work for Cutlass_Iz as well. Now I finally know the story behind that mysterious 'Captain Blackmoor' Well, what I didn't know was that you killed somebody in Scotland..what was that all about? I'm also very curious about which 'special' person will be interviewed next time
  9. To answer your questions (as long as I can answer them) I wouldn't do that, That makes it look a bit strange and boxy, I like the lowest part more, with the black arch as 1 part with the sides. If you manage to, you should really do that! It adds a lot of realism to the ship. I think I don't really get this question, but this is about where the rudder should be: I think removing the fence will make it look better, but ofcourse it's your own decision. That was it, I hope it will help you a little bit. (btw, I also liked your furniture a lot, I might steal some of your ideas )
  10. I completely aggree with you! I was already going to add tiles on the gunports, but I just didn't order them yet.
  11. No, the railings are not a mistake They are nets which were used to store the hammocks in and to catch flying splinters in battle. They can be seen on this picture for example
  12. It's quite a long time ago since I posted the last update. In the meantime I worked a lot on my ship, so now it's worthy to show something of it again Btw, these were my last updates: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...45&hl=aigle For the ones who didn't know, this is going to be a french corvette (I think) with 18 guns on the gun deck and a few on the main deck. First an overall look: and another one: This is the inside of the ship. It's going to have more white in it and a lot of lanters, which I have already made but they are not in the ship yet. The big black thing in front of the picture is the galley. This is the stern. Ofcourse it's not the endproduct. But I am going to use these windows and the yellow wings (thanks to Cap'n Blackmoor). This is me eating croissants on the deck Another overall view: And finally, the bow of the ship. And an important question: As you can see, the figurehead is rubbish, but I can't make a better one. So if someone has an idea to make a figurehead of an eagle I would really appreciate it. If it's a good design I'm going to use it on my ship More on Brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=384246 Well, that was it, feel free to tell me what you think of it
  13. Nice name Great to see inspiration of my good friend in other ship MOC's. I like Blackmoors ships a lot as well, so if it's going to look similar to his ship I'm sure that Im going to like it The stern looks promising so I'm looking forward to the next step of the progress. But be aware, Blackmoor's ships are very big, expensive and time consuming, so you'd better know what you start with Good luck! (and also great there is going to be a Polish ship, I think it's the first)
  14. Well, I go for the white with trading-thing, that's the most realistic one in my opinion.
  15. Very nice ship, a lot of details and useful parts. But the masts (and escpecially the sails) are quite awful, it hasn't even got a spanker. But I understand that the main purpose of this ship was playability (and it's very playable) and also to sell it for kids, and kids don't mind the number of sails, the shape, etc. I'm not going to buy it, but I'm very happy they made this one. Certainly because they just said they would discontinue the pirates line, now we got something to feel happy about again Oh and I also love the brown masts big improvement!
  16. I'd say, first make some more movies so we can decide what you can do the best, and make this poll again later some time.
  17. I agree with Captain Blackmoor. You can make things clearer by (for example) letting them sake hands or sign a peace treaty. But the idea is really nice, it will do fine with those improvements.
  18. Whaha very funny I like the little piece of music when the guy turns around
  19. I agree with the others that the man with the bandana doesn't suit very well with the rest. But the cannon is very great and it has a very medieval feel over it.
  20. I would choose the one with the shield. The other one is too big in my opinion (tough that spear looks very nice).
  21. Very nice entry, I love the window and the chair, though the colours look a bit too modern (maybe some more brown or black). I also wondered why the guy in the basement doesn't just put the torch on the scorpion (maybe that doesn't work properly, I don't know) . For the rest, I like all the tiles you used and the big hanging light good work!
  22. Thanks a lot! (and also for the other comments)
  23. I've posted this film in the pirates forum already, but I also wanted to share it with the rest of this forum, so here it is: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">I know the quality is not very good, but that's because I don't have a lot of experience with this yet. For the rest I'm quite satisfied with it. (and yes, I know the roof is missing in a small part of the movie What do you think of it?
  24. The idea is very funny! This is one of the most stupid things a pirate could do in peace time The MOC could be a little bit better though. The pirate is holding 'real' knitting sticks (instead of lego ones) while the challenge is to make everything from lego. The island is also quite simple. Try to make it of bricks, more curved bricks and tiles. And maybe put some more things on the island (like animals; krabs or fishes) I think if you add those things, it will be a great entry. The idea is already very funny, so then it'll certainly have a change to win
  25. This is what I have been working on past few days. The quality of the images is not very good, but hopefully the quality of humor makes it still a good movie name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
