  1. Awesome creation again SlyOwl! the buildings look great, their roofs, windows and other nice details. I think the mast of the ship is a little bit too thick but that's just a minor point. Really great MOC, your building skills are to be jealous of
  2. The old ones for me! I don't want a damaged flag on my ship, and the old ones are easier in use. However I think I will go for a 'soft one' on the ship that I'm buildng. But then I will make one myself and not a damaged one.
  3. Awesome entry! I like a lot about it, the curved walls, the jumping pirate, all the busy minifigs, the houses and some nice details like the torso of the drunk soldier. And I also like the gallows :pir-skull: So it's a fine entry and good luck in the competition!
  4. Good entry, it's very lively. Some more glasses of bottles (but that's difficult ofcourse) would be nice but for the rest it looks nice. The expressions on the faces are also great
  5. Nice entry very original and great work on the 'sculptures'. Very creative. Certainly one of the better entries in the competition
  6. Ok. I suppose that isn't for free...Maybe I can find it somewhere. Well, thanks anyway
  7. Simple said: What I don't like: -chains attached to the cannons (I'd rather see ropes there) -a pirate napping in a "net"... ..ow that was it already Things I DO like: -pirates doing funny things in their free time (like card games) -the pirate holding the line -the entire shark -really good work on that one! -the figurehead -custom brick sails -And just everything else!
  8. The only negative thing I can think of here is that I believe those ships were usually built on slopes for the launching. But for the rest you did an amazing job on this. Your ship is really magnificent! It's shape is perfect The saw is also great, as well as the piano. It's just full of nice details Great job and good luck in the competition!
  9. Great movie. The animation could be a bit better but for the rest it looks good. Your cannon effect is really cool, did you use a certain program for that? This is really promising for more movies
  10. I've seen 'The manificent seven' as well (or at least for the biggest part) and I think you did a good job on this. Your cactus could be better but the building itself is great Did you also make something of the other side (back) of this building? In that case I'd like to see that as well.
  11. Thanks to some bricks from Cpt. Blackmoor I have been able to adjust some things to my PtV entry: I've made the cloud more 'cloud-like', I have added a flower and I have made clouds in the background. So here are the pictures: And finally: could someone change the title of this topic into something with 'updated version'?
  12. Your galleon has turned out very well! I'd like to see this one in real some time. It's really a magnificent MOC and compared to some other entries this one also has a great story I'm eager to see more pictures of this!
  13. Fine ship indeed! My only comment is that the headrails look a bit disorganized, try to give it some more structure. And for the rest everything looks good, keep it up!
  14. So you did manage to make a small entry as well! Very funny, The frog and plants give it a nice touch. It seems like this earns quite a lot of money, maybe I should make one in real life..
  15. This sure is a fantastic ship built with a great new technique! But on these pictures I can't really figure out how you did it, could you show some pictures that explain your building technique? I think the brown part in front of the forecastle should be removed (where the mast is attached to) but for the rest it's good. Are you planning to make more ships? This one looks promising
  16. Thanks for the link! It's really fun to see how people re-created these things in lego. And most of them are very similar to the real pictures. Nice
  17. Nice pictures, did you take them by yourself? When I see this I think it's certainly possible to rebuild it, it's not thàt much damaged.
  18. There are some very interesting sites with information and pictures about ships of the pirate-era, so I thougt it might be useful to create a thread in wich everyone can post links to interesting sites. In that way everyone who wants to build a lego ship can look in this thread and make their ships with nice historical accurate details I hope it will improve the way ship MOC's are made (though most of them look great already). As a start: Ship replica's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Replica_ship http://www.timedesign.de/ship/ship.html Ship building plans: http://www.all-model.com/ Ships from the Aubrey-Maturin series (Patrick O'Brian) Information and other stuff: About ship colours and other things Another one about painting ships
  19. This is amazing! So many details and great techniques! You make it very hard for other people to win The temple is great, as well as the treehouse It wasn't until the second time I saw this when I realized that he was actually sacrificing a carrot! That really made me laugh Maybe their god is a rabbit... Those are really quite peaceful inca's I see nothing to improve on this MOC. Good work
  20. This review is Superb! It really shows every part of the ship! I'm not going to buy it but I believe it is indeed the best official pirate set ever (or so far)
  21. Maybe you can attach his gun to a small brick under the mooring.
  22. Yes it's a very good MOC I wouldn't change anything either, except for maybe one thing.. One of the soldiers is standing on those 'transparant'bricks, That doesn't look very good to me. I you could, I think you should try to make that in a different way. But ofcourse it's your MOC, your decision! For the rest it looks nice, cool scene and minifigs
  23. I think this is one of the best entries I've seen so far. The idea is funny, and you have build it very good. It's full of detail and the wagon is also great. It's a very lifely moc, good work
  24. Nice set with a lot of usable parts. I have one myself and I have played a lot with it (of course mixed with other lego). 4 dollars is a very fair price for such a set and I was amazed it's still around $4,50 Good review
  25. Impressive fort! nice job on this. But did you know bluecoats and redcoats are the worst enemies on this forum? Choose a side Nice stuff for the rest, I wish I'd have such a big army!
