  1. awesome job... i knew right away before reading your post that is was based off the the hover train from the Rescue on Kessel mission. I was actually thinking about making some type of imperial prison train myself.. you beat me to it. great work. I love seeing vehicles from the expanded universe in Lego.
  2. As time goes by I think the prequel trilogy is being more and more disliked by almost everyone. They were so bad that even Disney said thanks but no thanks to any ideas that came out of Lucas's brain for the sequel trilogy. A testament to how bad the prequels were.
  3. Looks like its coming along nicely. Good idea spray painting the wheels. Took a look on bricklink i cant believe that they cost $30 each. Some I saw go as high as $60. Lego needs to make more sets with huge light-bluish grey wheels
  4. OK. How awesome is this. Masterful work.
  5. After seeing all the awesome SW dioramas on here i decided to give it a try. My last few MOCs were large ships and it was actually really challenging for me to build something using bricks to simulate a harsh distant world environment. In the SW EU or Legacy as Disney would like to call it, Dathomir is the native homeworld of the mighty Rancor species. I included several images that I used for ideas and inspiration in the thread.
  6. Ehhhh.... Probably should have made a system scale tie bomber with mini figs instead
  7. awesome!
  8. this is gonna look great when its finished... im thinking about building one too because i believe Lego wont release UCS AT-AT anytime in the near future. And if they do i think it will come out looking like the Sandcrawler which i did not like. Way too many studs.
  9. as long as the ships have the original trilogy industrial, Ralph Mcquarrie look i really dont care what they look like. I hated mostly all of the prequel trilogy's designs.
  10. wow! this is stunning. I can see why it took half a year. You also managed to create the definitive Hoth MOC. I dont think anyone has come close this size and detial very well done
  11. i think is moc is amazing. Nice to see expanded universe scenes created in lego. I escpecially like the the clonining chambers and rock walling. Superb!
  12. absolutely amazing... so many bricks
  13. wow this is amazing!!! having no studs makes it look incredible.. by far the best star wars lego creation that I\ve ever seen.
  14. My first MOC of 2014 was influenced by the Crimson Empire comics, which were expanded universe stories centered around the Royal Guard. I've posted several images in the thread that I used for reference and inspiration. This MOC contians almost 50 Royal Guard minifigs, 2 modified red tie interceptors, and what I would call the main gate or entrance to Palpatine's fortress/palace on Courscant. The Royal Guard TIEs are actually not from Crimson Empire but made their first appearance several years ago in the PC game Star Wars Galaxies. I'm aware that several fan made LDD designs of the Royal Guard Ties are around, but mine, although similar, are my own and built from scratch. The palace gate was something I just threw together quickly in about 2 days to give it more of a diorama feel. I would have liked to put more effort and detail into this part but I kind of lost interest. I would eventually like to make a really detailed SW diorama like the awesome ones I've seen on this forum. Enjoy!
  15. congrats your work is awesome and deserves the recognition
  16. wow thats amazing
  17. i would like to see something like a bounty hunter battle pack, with empire strikes back exclusives like zuckuss and 4-lom
  18. nope I never actually weighed it... but i can tell you its very heavy and the interior is mostly hollow. I recently started working on this model again, adding more greebling and touching up certain areas, probably adding another 500-700 pieces to the overall model. I hope to post a more professional looking video of the ship within the next few months.
  19. wow amazing! the sail barge looks great. How you got the bow and stern too look so round using Lego parts i don't know?
  20. this looks fantastic , I saw an awesome royal guard varient a while back and I'm considering building it myself. Looking forward to seeing the bomber!
  21. yup definitely worth it in my opinion, although not completely accurate the size is still impressive for a Lego model
  22. thanks for the kind words guys, I uploaded a video of the ship in the thread, enjoy!
  23. great work... im really digging that royal guard varient, the black and red go great together. Def something I would be interested in building
  24. i was thinking about bricklinking the UCS Star Destroyer... it was originally released in 2002, and is very expensive now, some parts off bricklink are as high as 60 dollars
