  1. That torso is reused I think, it was in Fun in the Park (and probably others).
  2. One might argue that since there is little tangible evidence further discussion / rampant speculation / wishlisting about what else the rumoured D2C might be belongs in the future Harry Potter sets thread...
  3. Built Dr Wu's Lab today. Pretty decent set, it's nice to get a set that doesn't have any vehicles. Two new dinos in a small set like this is awesome. The build is basic, but ok. I didn't apply the stickers, but they are good designs (which I might not have mentioned if I didn't build The Burrow yesterday). The new amber brick is great. Overall part selection is good, and in useful colours. The Dr. Wu fig is nice, Owen is... another Owen. Objectively the figure is good but I guess most of us have enough Owen's already. Even with a new print it feels like the same figure. Overall, good value for the price. I'd give it a 8/10.
  4. Built The Burrow today, cool set! The way it opens up works pretty well I think, and adds interior space. Figs are good, the new Hedwig is awesome! About the stickers, the design of some of them make them look a little cheap compared to the previous Harry Potter sets. And in retrospect maybe I should have left out the stickers on the windows, the make the outside look a bit crowded. Overall though, I think this will be my favourite set for this wave (excluding the rumoured D2C of course).
  5. Ooohh, The Burrow arrived in time for the weekend. Finally some Harry Potter building!
  6. Ordered a second copy of The Burrow from an online retailer with the hopes of some Harry Potter gratification this weekend, but now they are a bit on the slow side with shipping it. Grmphf. I may have to resort to finally building that Hogwarts set.
  7. With 5 minifigs plus builds no way that expansion set is a GWP.
  8. According to the terms, if any of the qualifying purchases are returned, the gift must also be returned. If they will actually follow up on it I'm not sure.
  9. Back order, ship within 60 days. Yikes! Glad I ordered it just after midnight then! For me they have always split the order with no extra shipping costs. One time they even sent me just the GWP (a small polybag) by DHL Express...
  10. Oh B&P how I miss thee... Hopefully some of those Monkie Kid new pieces will still be available when B&P opens up for Norway again.
  11. Check out this one (not mine): Night at the Museum
  12. Nice pack indeed! LEGO Harry Potter is the theme that just keeps on giving! Great sets every year, 2 CMF's series, D2C's, and now a student pack as icing on the cake.
  13. Not available in Norway either.
  14. Don't forget the LEGO picnic blanket... that bad boy was $200!
  15. At this point site breakdown is as much of a tradition as May the 4th itself.
  16. What a surprise... S@H immediately breaks down once the offers go live...
  17. These are all great! Have to get them all...
  18. I think LEGO Ideas is actually better than ever. I think it is more fair to evaluate LEGO Ideas by the quality of the released sets rather than how similar they are to the original submission. There have been a lot of great sets of late: Treehouse, Barracuda Bay, Old fishing store, Friends... As for the rejection of Caswell Point, I understand the disappointment of the having the project turned down after putting in all the work, but I do see where LEGO is coming from. Even though there are no actual pirates in that submission, the imperials were part of the LEGO's pirates theme - and they just released Barracuda Bay. We are talking about it in the pirates forum... it clearly belongs in the pirates theme.
  19. Thank you both! I didn't make the minifigs myself, they were made for a larger collaboration project for LEGO World 2019. I'm not sure who did the actual printing. The black pirate hat w/ hair I think (gasp!) is 3D printed.
  20. Built a little Pirate moc for a LUG competition. This is a scene from the animated movie "Captain Sabertooth and the magical diamond". Higher resolution photos on Flickr
  21. Cool to have the new Hedwig in a polybag. The rest is par-for-the-course for polybags I think. I'll buy it for Hedwig, parts are useful enough, Harry probably ends up in some box to live his life in the shadows I guess.
  22. First proper promo in *forever*... and it's gone in a few hours. The last promo that was available for me to actually take advantage of was in July 2019, the iconic VIP set that was available at launch... I must admit I feel like the VIP system is a complete waste now. There is nothing worthwhile to spend the points on except for "money of your next order". If it's gonna be like that, why don't throw us a bone and let us use points directly as discount when checking out?
  23. Honestly, I find these posts more enjoyable than all the otter baseless speculation, wishlisting and predictions that have been going on lately.
