  1. You still need to call them to to order the body.
  2. Are you sure? I get VIP points for regular B&P purchases. Edit: Oh sorry, I missed that you explained how it worked before
  3. In Safari pasting part# using the keyboard does not work, but right click & paste from context menu works. It's been that way for a long time for me. Quite annoying. Another quirk I've encountered is if I want to quickly search for parts to check if they are available, after 9 searches or so I get an error message and the cart is reset. It kinda seems like they have some countermeasure to limit searching by scrapers/scripts.
  4. That Dr Strange cape is awesome, fingers crossed it will be available in black in a not too distant future.
  5. Awesome set, but I agree the scarves are a bit weak. Will probably just remove them. The stand for the golden figures looks good, will consider getting the full set now.
  6. Seinfeld hair is now in stock. These are in stock too.
  7. Sounds to me like some here blame the D2C because you didn't like many of the playsets this year? I agree that the playsets are not as exciting as previous years, but I think Hogsmeade and Chamber of Secrets were pretty good. The bathroom is ok for me, interior is nice enough and the figures are new. Fluffy and Flying lesson I haven't bought yet, not too thrilled with the figures in those. Chess set falls a bit flat for me, even if I like chess I don't really need it. I don't mind the Fawkes set, and thing the big figures are pretty cool. What I want the most from future Harry Potter sets are some more new and unique minifigures.
  8. I'll second what a few others have said. I had already pretty much decided that this set was not for me, but after seeing the pictures: full 180 degrees. This is the best Harry Potter set of the year for me, will probably buy it right away when it's released.
  9. Fair enough that it isn't for everyone, but that set looks like a great display piece!
  10. Some pieces will always show up as out of stock, but can be ordered online if you get the right CS rep. Like the large elephant body/head.
  11. Here the sets were between 50-60% off, beatboxes 55%. That isn't as good as it sounds though since the sets are marked up for Norway. At 50% or more off, I think the sets and figs are worth picking up. I love the amount of printed tiles, I am sure these will be useful for a bit of flair in mocs. Some of the figs are really good, wish the colors had been dialed a tad back though since that would have made them a bit more versatile The Candy Castle Stage was my favourite for parts since there was a bit more tan and reddish brown there Disclaimer: I have never tried the app (and probably never will), have not built the sets, just bought them for figs & parts. Maybe I will build the boombox eventually.
  12. Wow that was quick... The second wave launched directly at 50% discount at the largest online toyshop in Norway so it wasn't exactly a surprise that it was doing bad, but still... There are a few of the series 2 bandmates I want, so hopefully it will be possible to get a hold of them.
  13. He was a member here but I think he got banned. I don't know the details but I can easily imagine anyone snapping after enough unfair criticism. I think it is fair to say that as a whole Eurobricks members won't win any awards for constructive criticism. I think it's a shame he isn't around. He has made many great sets (new UCS Falcon, Slave 1) and I really enjoy designers sharing some insight with us.
  14. Problem is, you will find a lot different opinions about what "perfect" is - a "perfect in everything" for everybody does not exist. I've seen comments from people who don't want any figures in UCS sets, to people that are happy with the figures they got and glad that the torso design is in line with the 501st battle packs, to people that want a bunch of clones or other named figures, to wanting Jedi-Bob... Everyone knows the difference between a commander and a pilot, including LEGO. But that isn't really relevant to the discussion is it? LEGO chose to make a commander, it's not like they tried to make a pilot and failed. The point the designer tried to make (and that I personally found very clear) is that neither the pilot nor the commander was the focus of those scenes, therefore they chose two figures they think made sense for the set. At the end of the day though, everyone votes with their wallets and decides for themselves which sets they want to buy or not.
  15. I agree, I don't hear that tone or attitude either. As for comments from others that LEGO is out of touch with the fan base, I don't really see it. Sure, like many other OT-fans I was frustrated for many years by the lack of Cloud City characters for example, but they came through in the end. With Cloud City and the Cantina they got the OT pretty well covered by know. Newer material, like The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and the final season of The Clone Wars are all getting good sets IMO, so from my perspective things are looking better. My general wishes for LEGO SW going forward: 1) We want battlepacks, every year - no exceptions! 2) Don't skimp on minifigures, especially for medium to large sets simplifying the build to make room for another minifigure is a good tradeoff. For example, just 1 dark trooper in the upcoming Imperial Light Cruiser? 3) Go wild - dare to include that unique minifigure we would never get otherwise even if it makes no sense for the set you put it in. Some of you might notice that all my wishes relate to minifigures rather than builds... Well, that's how the cookie crumbles after building a bunch of versions of almost all the SW vehicles I care about. The newer material just don't seem to come up with interesting designs that are given enough screen time to make me care. Maybe with the exception of The Razor Crest.
  16. What I found most shocking about the reveal was that the video feed from LEGO was so poor quality. Are they using some random laptop webcam for their official reveals now? Just not good idea for a company like LEGO IMO. The gunship is one of my favourite designs from the PT, and I thought I would be excited to see a UCS version, but I'm not. Not sure why either, just not excited.
  17. Hourglass is 6353089 Candelabra is 6326425
  18. I got 3 elephants from CS using the original numbers (offered as a courtesy due to a long wait on the phone when trying to get a missing bag for my Daily Bugle set) actually... But if I were to order more I would try the alternative numbers since I think there is less chance of screwups. My theory about parts without a price is unrelated to that though, I think there is a general rule in place that will not allow you to order parts with zero price online. Basically, "if (outOfStock or elementHasNoPrice) then disableAddButtonWithText('Out of stock')". If someone points me to free elements that can be ordered online I will happily revise my theory (after I order a ton of those parts, of course).
  19. That's true, forgot they came in a bag as well Still, I hold on to my belief that they now have a restriction in place so you can't order anything without a price online. Until proven otherwise.
  20. Note that it's just speculation on my part, based on what others have reported.
  21. You got the worst CS rep ever :D But yeah, you can order by phone. Just speculating why you can't order it online as well.
  22. Pure speculation on my part: In their system the "protective bag" with the elephant head has a price, the head itself does not have a price. You can't order any of the "protective bag" elements online. You can't buy any elements with zero price online (maybe they will just default to "Out of stock" even when they are in stock?). If this is correct it could also explain why calling CS yields different results depending on who you speak with; A good CS knows to check if a protective bag exists if price comes up with zero when you give them the elementId, a bad one just says "You can't order that".
  23. Gotta pay more attention to the Ninjago sets, that Nya figure is awesome!
  24. Whaaat... how did I not know that there was a hourglass part! I guess I haven't paid too much attention to the elves sets... Some of the Pteranodon from set 75926 parts were available when it was released, sadly not all. They were pricey though.
