  1. I didn't have high expectations for this one, but it really does look great! Good collection of new figures too.
  2. That looks great! Wasn't sold on the whole cantina idea as a big playset, but with a few more buildings... yeah that could work. Looks pretty legit to me, if that's a fake is well done.
  3. Nice, ordered with GWP.
  4. LEGO themselves cuts baseplates... and glues parts together... and paint bricks... and 3D-print parts while prototyping...
  5. Indeed it does! I'm sure the good vibes will be there once the high quality images are released.
  6. Yes. I think the chance of it being a GWP is slim to none. I am completely convinced this will be available for regular purchase in LEGO's own stores.
  7. Hagrid & Buckbeak Brickheadz as a GWP sounds totally off to me... I'll believe that when I see it. Not that I haven't been wrong before.
  8. My old eyes can't make out the details like you young ninjas, I'm gonna need hi-res images. I will definitely get it, but I'm not as excited as I thought I would be - I was so sure I would love it at first sight even with a crappy leaked photo. Hopefully it is just the image quality.
  9. This is about what I was originally expecting from the set, but I was getting hopeful after Florean leaked. A little underwhelmed since it seemed like they were really going at this time with the huge piece count. Oh well, it is what it is. Really happy we get Lockhart at least. Now, pretty please, the front & back of the box...
  10. Looks more like the photographer than Arthur to me. Doesn't matter much, whoever it is that is a nice looking torso. It will be mine. Oh yes. It will be mine.
  11. Really looking forward to this set! Personally I prefer buildings with open backs since that means more pieces for details or bigger buildings. The first shop I think of when I hear Diagon Alley is Ollivanders. Not really bothered by the lack of Gringotts or any other building in particular. As long as the buildings they put in there looks good I'll be happy.
  12. That was based on one quote from Matthew Ashton. It might be (sort of) how some designers approach designing a set, but no way that can be taken as the gospel on how LEGO does set design. I remember reading another interview with Mark Stafford (on working on the Ideas Exo Suit) where they used the exact opposite approach where they kept adding stuff until they were told "no more". In general I'm sure it is safe to say they iterate on ideas/set concepts rather than either of the approaches above though.
  13. I believe we have seen all the sticker sheets and there is no Gringotts in the set. As others have said, the Leaky Cauldron related stickers could be wall stickers - not entirely convinced LC will be included either. Lockhart should be there. Would be strange to include Daily Prophet without any associated characters so I think Rita Skeeter is in there too, the building may be pretty small though. Given the size of the icecream stickers it could be a small shop or something even smaller like a stand. The high number of shops give me hope we will have a wider range of figs than just the usual suspects which would be most excellent! I think this set will be awesome! I'm usually not in a hurry to order new sets, but this one I will get right away.
  14. Hm, yeah. Biggest problem for me is that it doesn't really compute into a cool set. The cantina building / interior itself isn't super exciting so the there are limits to what they can do with it. We probably won't be getting a lot of new molds so most of the wacky clientele will be missing. The predictions above sounds reasonable (give or take a few patrons). That leaves 4 figures that would be very cool (Ponda Baba, Garindan, Evazan, Hammerhead), + Wuher (since I didn't get the previous cantina), 10 repeat figs and maybe a few surprises. Hope I'm wrong and they pull it off...
  15. Huh, color me surprised if Mos Eisley turns out to be legit! Really did not think LEGO would do that as a larger set than they already have.
  16. Not too excited about that latest Harry figure, which scene is it from?
  17. The figure looks really nice! Never would have guessed it... I was expected something similar to the previous version with maybe an extra shop or two, so this has me excited. I would be all ok with many smaller shops as long as that gives us more new characters and not just the usual suspects.
  18. Seinfeld is a great show, I will certainly buy the set. The show was huge in Norway in it's heyday, and I will be very surprised if it wasn't in most of western Europe. I get that younger generations may relate more to other, newer shows though.
  19. I will be surprised if we got more than 12-15 figures. Don't think there is any chance there will be random people from the street either, it is not really something LEGO does afaik (apart from some random firefighter in a few superheroes sets). Multiple versions of key characters is unlikely too IMO, since the figure count will already be high just by adding the usual suspects. I would love to be surprised with more figs tho...
  20. I think it's great we're getting more PT/CW stuff, makes it easy to reduce the number of sets I buy.
  21. Prices for the carriage varies by region. At 60 Euro the price for the carriage is not good, it's really bad.
  22. The only thing I disliked about the carriage was the the price. The carriage itself looks nice, is a good build and has good parts.
  23. It's clearly based on this research vehicle:
  24. Got my first order in, anybody want to recap some of the good stuff that has been made available the last few months?
  25. Got a big box of HP sets today, quick thoughts on the two smaller ones I built already: Room of Requirements: Nice little build, like the fireplace. Figs are ok, hare & otter are good, love the dummy! The proclamations are great, almost wish we would get a booster pack with 50 of them :D Forbidden Forest: Tree is nice and different build than we are used to, Grawp is cool. Love the centaurs! Umbridge & Hermione are good. Harry is in multiple sets so not too exciting.
