the Library When I first joined I saw some members posting special MOC for their promotions. So I decided to dedicate my knighthood to the first large structure of the Unseen University. In the Library the Librarian rules. The place where all the knowledge of the (un)known universe is accesable via L-space. Also the place where the Octavo is being kept. The outside view, it leads to The backs. The view from the courtyard. A view from the ground perspective Here you see Modo's (modified) Garden Shed attached to the Library. Modo even got new feathers for the occasion. Thanks for the suggestions here. All the sides are visible on Brickshelf and some on MOCpages and Flickr. Enjoy

I have got some idea of what's going on. I'm just wondering when the next piece will surface.....

I don't think Misses CopMike will be happy with at least 4 Dutchies drooling in her livingroom over the prices. BTW irony is like the feeling of collecting/ playing with LEGO; if you have explain, they don't understand. think about that one.

Too bad for you mate. That's me.

Interesting idea. Just one note: a straight jacket opens and closes at the back so the inmate/ patient can't reach the buttons.

Happy Birthday all. Don't let Christmass stand in the way of fabulous gifts and a great day

A nice review of a ship that comes as a great addition to the Adventurers. Being the one (of few) of Chinese ships it is even more of a delight owning this.

The first that came to mind was "Cylon". I like the compact design of the craft, you did a great job.

It looks great and the photo editing has really set the atmosphere. So good job on that as well. Only minor point I see is the large rectangulair hole on the side in the inverted slope. It puts down on the sleekness of the model. Maybe another greeble woulds solve it. But aside that a big

I wanted to keep it really simple, but you are right it does resemble a smiley With a Chewbacca head I'm afraid he will just look like an angry teddybear That says it all.

Thanks. Yes, he will be the goalie. the book is "Unseen Academicals" btw. Only the hardback is out. I'm afraid an Ewok would need to much work. The head is useless due to the hood and if you sand that down you're left with a teddybear. The grey fella is supposed to be a troll. I've tried brick build and the rockmonster from Rock Raiders and then I remeberred that someone put the arms of the new rockmonster from Power Miners and decided to go with that. NowI can dress my trolls and keep full minifig control. I know that they are supposed to be at least 2 metres tall, but so is Chewbacca and that works as a normal minifig as well.
-
Like a said before Hagrid donated his. I chose the ones with the flesh hands because you pose these. The all brown arms cannot be posed. You have to sand and cut down the joining socket. TLG made these bigger then normal minifigs. So carefull cutting and sanding before you take away to much. good luck tuning this motorcycle buddy

the Librarian My first customized minifigure, all the other Discworld characters have been purist, but this is the exception to the rule. There simple is no head or torso for him. Both head and torso have been painted and the smile has been set with a sharpie-like pen. The arms origin from a Hagrid and have been cut to fit. In the background you can see the Library. This MOC will need one bricklink order before being finished, but will not be posted untill my 500th post. To bring back a small tradition. "300 pounds of mussle in an XXXL suite". He is the Librarian to the Unseen University in Ankh-Morpork. It is beleaved he was once a wizard but refuses all attempts to bring him back to his former form. An extra pair of hands is always welcome at the high shelves. Being an ape, he is known for his violent reaction to most people calling him a "monkey". He speaks a language whose vocabulary consists primarily of the single word Ook, inflected for simple affirmations and negations. Eeek is also occasionally heard, particularly in moments of panic or rage. Nonetheless, most people seem able to understand him. MOCpages brickshelf

I'll take those problems any day. A typical Dutch summer is fall. -
Wow, I won... thanks guys for doing this. Congrats to all previous and future winners.

I waited untill after Sinterklaas to change my avatar. I hate it when shops go all Christmassy before he leaves. for future reference: I used my entry for the Christmass raffle as my new avatar. Here it is on Brickshelf, because just putting in an arrow pointing to the left won't work after december 26th. BTW Sinterklaas is Dutch/ northern Belgian (Vlaanderen) and the origin of Santa Claus; before a coke factory made him into some marketing gimmic.

I've had the same kind of accident, somebody running a red light and putting me to the tarmac. I was way more lucky then you, a severe sprain because during the slide the bike fell on my ancle. Six weeks on crutches and I good back on my feet. So yeah: STOP at red lights and signs and save somebodies life! -
Hello all, I have used some new technics learned from this topic so thanks to all who contributed. After reading this topic I went on a search of the internet to find more. I came across a technic making round structures using this Wedge 3 x 2. But now that I want to use the technic I can no longer find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks
