Does anybody else like Motorcycles around here?
L-space replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Community
Thought I'd give you a rundown on all my previous motorcycles: Yamaha Maxim XJ700 My first one: I went to a motorshow and come home with this 1 month after getting my license. "You wont buy anything will you?" "No dear" Try explaning that! But she liked it and it took us on two great vacations. very fast at traffic lights, it looked like a chopper but it had a straight 4. Next Suzuki VS 1400 Intruder More power and bigger. An imported bike from the US just 4 gears, but was great to ride. Took me three months before I had to deck it because a car didn't give way. And that ended that story. A few months later I had enough money saved to buy another one. This time a European model so 5 gears. Smoother rides and again a nice vacation with the wife. Then nature took its toll and too much driving in winter and bodge customisation by me made me sell it. But then enough savings, the money made with the sell of the last bike and a large employee benefits, led me to this beauty. When the 2009 line-up come out I knew I had to own one. This is mine as described in a previous post. It was the first ride with my son after he had gotten his bikerwear. So that is the full story on my bikes. I will save the anecdote of me and 4 MP's on the motorway for later. -
The Complete Sga is now available not just for the game consoles but for your PC as well. Here it is on amazon.com

You could look at the moonbase standards, that should give you another idea about big stuff. they use a 48x48 plate as standard material with passageways at certain points. http://www.zemi.net/moonbase http://www.brickiwiki.com/page/LEGO+Moonbase Dutch Moonbase Good luck!

Well, we are moslty not lucky enough to have snow, just something that looks like it and turns into sludge when you look at it. Personally I keep my bike in the garage from about now untill march. It will get too dirty to clean and I don't think it is worth risking it. I used to ride all year round on my former bikes but not on this one. That caused some heartbeat moments trying to get away at trafficlights after a frosty nights. With this bike it is also an ensurance policy: no riding between Dec 1st and Feb 28th. With a great spring that means shaking of winter on March 1st. -
Amazon.co.uk says 19 July 2010 for £14,09

Here's mine: H-D FXDF Fat Bob this is the brochure picture; I have a different seat and a chinfairing placed. I use it for trips and sometimes commuting when a trainride isn't the smart thing to do. Since my sons get older it is now a struggle who gets to ride with me. The wife or my oldest son. -
Movie you liked but most people hated...

Films I like but nobody in my surroundings even knew: Dune, both the original and the miniseries. And I have the books as well; all of them! The Transgalactic Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy, love the books, got the radioplay and saw it in a theatre in Canada and returned to my colleagues (businesstrip) all saying who? what? The Rocketeer; same style, for me that is, as Skycaptain and the World of Tomorrow which is another And my all time favorite The Fifth Element; funny, scifi, great look to it (Leeloo ) and a rollercoaster experience in the cruise-ship. -
What a coincidence. I got mine today and I like it! I don't mind the known pictures and highlighting of some sets. The pictures make me feel nostalgic since I don't keep all the boxes. Highlighting all the sets would mean doubling the cost (at least) and everybody knows what happens here when prices are discussed. ; raging and ranting till berserkiness. (I know it's probably not even a word, but most of you will get it)

Thanks for the review, a great one of a great set. You gotta love it. Two notes on the set: It is easy to create a stand for it like the 7146 TIE Fighter. The bottom is allready shaped for this. It is great for displaying purposes. Allthough it looks good in blue it even looks better in grey to make it fit to the new Darth Vader's TIE and it is easely moc'ed. Give it a try!

Quick and easy to fill out. Good luck with the paper and some feedback on the results is allways appricated. -
I just had a look at your custom knights and they look great. Keep it up.

Big Bad Blue Bastards Chicken surprise and a Redcoat smart@.. sealed the faith.

Bloody Brilliant Redcoats Pooja took the win.
-
Out of the Blue The banana-trap tipped the balance. Captain Rainbow Hair was close though

Ravenous Redcoats take this one. Cruelty and humour; you gotta love it.

Thanks for the compliment. I am planning on making the entire university over the next year or so. It is more of an effort then I thought at first.

I agree. That is why I wrote the same post in all contest threads. It got to the point where the chitchat is taking over the MOCs and the MOC-based discussions. So I tried to warn the sides off. Someone felt neccesary to comment on this and in doing so just made my point. I will let the MOCs speak for themselves but in case of a close match the rest comes into account. Thanks Adam for putting it on the map again.

Hey Guys and Girls. I have seen some hilarious creations. But I must warn you. I am taking of points for personnal attacks, spamming, cluttering and thinking you know the rules. There is only one rule: I rule. The contest is about making fun of eachother, not making enemies. Good luck.
