I really don't understand what's with all the Greg bashing. I think Greg's a really good writer, and that he has done so much for we as BIONICLE fans to enjoy the story so much more than we would if any other writer was doing the story. Not only that, but he lets the fans interact with the story in endless ways. I don't see anything bad about him, his style of writing, his 'limitations' (Which would probably be worse if we had a different writer because LEGO would keep a bigger eye on them.), or any other complaint you guys have about him.

Bionicle 2009 Discussion (Spam free)

Damn, I was kinda hoping he'd have lime green as his secondary color. (Mostly so I could say the Stars set was him, though. xD) -
I actually think I'll spend significantly more on these BIONICLE Stars than I would any other normal 6 impulse/6 canister arrangement, because these give me six sets to focus on. Six cheaper sets instead of the twelve different priced sets.

I agree with this, but I really hope they have elemental powers again. In fact, if they did a story about the olden times on Spherus Magna, and put it under a new brand name; I think they could pull it off, and make the fans vaguely happy . . .

But I don't think Greg would reveal the valley of the maze in a serial, since evidently 2010 is going to have something to do with it . . . -
MOC: The Strangest Thing Ever Made Out Of Bionicle?

Hahah! That's totally awesome! I really like how you made the Zamor-eyes stay in place. The hands and the general body shape are also intensely cool. -

Fairly interesting chapter, if I do say so myself. I can't wait to see what the three Agori will find when they get to the end of the map . . . -
About the set quantity issue, I think the information we got about twelve impulse sets and only six canister sets is just for winter. I think the BIONICLE Stars are just commemorative sets that will run parallel to the other sets, and we just don't have any information on the canister sets as-of-yet.

Well it was actually a fair assumption since Mata Nui woke up that year, and the entire series centered around waking Mata Nui . . .
-
If they do plan to kill BIONICLE next year, I think they'll change their plans. The BIONICLE Stars look like they'll sell incredibly well to both older fans and the newer fans. So hopefully they'll change their minds about axing BIONICLE if they sell well, since as Greg has beaten into our impressionable minds a thousand times; the survival of a line depends on it's sale numbers.

Hey, since the purported death of BIONICLE is causing a lot of alarm for some of us, I say someone should message Bink or even Front and ask them if next year will be the last. (Don't ask Greg though. He'll definitely say he can't discuss any future plans. Bink is vaguely more open about stuff like that though.)

I really hope we won't be replaced by Ben 10. To be honest, those Ben 10 sets look exactly like something Megablocks would make. They have nothing LEGO about them, unlike the Toy Story action figures which actually look like they're LEGO sets. I'm also not a fan of the Ben 10 Alien Force series, and heard that hardly anyone else is, either. So I think it would be a really stupid move to axe BIONICLE at this point.

Bwahahah. This is priceless. xDDD Anyway, that yellow Rahkshi looks totally awesome. I think there was a BZPer who wanted something like that really badly. (Electric Tuhrahk might've been his name.) So that's what it immediately made me think of. xD And the more I look at Vezok, the more I get both excited and disappointed. He looks awesome, but also very ugly, and lack of 'smile' makes me sad.
-
I really don't think they're actually going to end the BIONICLE line. It sells WAAAYY too well for LEGO to just end it now. Besides Front earlier said that he was working on the 2011 sets, and had forgotten about 2010, so hopefully BIONICLE actually isn't over yet. Because that would really suck. >:

I'm still going with my Super Smash BIONICLE idea . . .

I personally LOVE the Avtoran design, and have since 2008. Not to mention some of these sets use the Av-Matoran pieces creatively and awesomely. And even the ones that don't use anything creatively look totally awesome. And sure, they are essentially marketing ploys by LEGO, but they're damn good ones. >:D

That annoys me too (The having two brand new characters that were just released a year prior part.), but I think what annoys me the most is that one of the ones they re-released wasn't very important to begin with. Gresh. I think they over-promoted Gresh to the extreme, since everything in '09 was about him. He felt super tacked-on in the movie, and it would've been better without him. But the most annoying part was that they rereleased him in favor of someone much more iconic of BIONICLE in general. Mata frikken' Nui. I think it would've been a much better idea to release Mats as a chibi than Gresh. Hm D:< (The Skrall doesn't annoy me as much. But the fact there are two characters from a single year while the other years only get one set per year, with the entire Bohrok, Metru-Nui and Mahri-Nui years ripped out makes me angry. :/ )

Hey, I've got a vague idea as to these BIONICLE Stars . . . What if it's some time-breaking, alternate-universe breaking battle royale of BIONICLE characters a la Super Smash Bros. Brawl, or Transformers Universe. I think that would be vaguely enough story to fill out the first half of the year. (But I'd hope that we get canister sets too if that's the case. They could be chiBionicle titans or something?)

It's got a gold Hau, (Even if it is a Hau Mata), gold armor, and a gold shield. Sounds like Lhikan to me . . .
-
I know this, but look at the way it's connected. The Glatorian head looks like it's sideways, not up-right.
-
Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah. Look at this picture! It seems that the Skrall helmet is actually connected though the mouth like Kanohi are! O:

I'm going to buy every one of these sets except Gresh. (I hate Gresh, and everything about him. His set is nice, but I just hate the character.) I really hope they release more of these sets. Like, every year there could be impulse Bionicle Stars sets of classic characters. That would be so cool. :3

Holy epic omigod WANT WANT WANT. Those all look so awesome!!! Kinda disappointed it's Vezok instead of Vezon, but meh. Vezok still looks totally awesome, as does the Rahkshi. And YES!!! The gold set IS Lhikan!!! Do want!!! Auuuurrrrggghhh!!! I can't wait until '10! It's gonna be so epic! *calms down* Anyway, the only problem I have with this is that "Piraka"'s face looks pretty ugly, and has no teeth. But maybe we just don't have good enough pics yet. Hm.

Hey, after watching it for the twentieth time last night, I started wondering something . . .
