I believe he meant. If you don't have your self squared away, know who you are dealing with, why you are in their nieghborhood you shouldn't go in and say hello.

Really great Train. At first I was looking at the pictures and thinking. "No way they hold figs." then low and behold you used the space so well it surprised me. Excellent work!

Review: 21004 Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Col. Brik replied to Inconspicuous's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Fitting price for anything that has Wright's name on it. I only wonder how bad the roof will leak or if the foundation will collapse. I've got to take my shots at Wright, I only live 20 miles from the Taliesin in Wisconsin. Aside from my barbs towards Wright, your review was excellent. Well done, great pictures and writing. -
Excellent town layout. Very well done and the attention to detail is great. I look forward to more

[Comic] Unlikely Society - Robotopocalyse Part II
Col. Brik replied to Joebot's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Excellent. Job well done, great comic as usual. Joebot didn't put a kill shot on Fijoles.....I think I see where this is going. Good plot twist. -
......When you find yourself arguing with your Seven and Four year old kids over who gets to have the rare piece that suddenly all three of you need.

Very well done and the attention to detail is excellent. I see you mentioned you are a ship builder/designer as a career. Any pictures of the build threw its stages? I am curious to the structure underneath since you mentioned you built it as a ship is built. Again, well done. And welcome to EB, you will enjoy your stay.

The PoP and Green Army men are going to put a dent in my checkbook. Very nice, my kids are crazy for the Toy Story theme and the Army Men top it off for them.

Is Eurobricks the New "AFOL" Meta-Forum?
Col. Brik replied to Eilif's topic in Forum Information and Help
As a AFOL, with kids who are FOL, I can say my reasons for EB being my first, and major place, for LEGO content and use is because of the either or community it can be. My kids can sit and follow along with me as I browse, pictures and content is fun and light. Nothing is taken too seriously and you can easily see a personal touch in each members replies. Their signatures, writing style, content. It gives a personal touch to the place which keeps me coming back as a AFOL. LEGO is my escape from everything else in the world and my chance to connect with my kids in a fun way. EB is a big reason I enjoy LEGO. -
Always enjoyed your comics. I hope more keep coming out. Great work.

We are seriously considering going for the weekend as a family next year. I can say this with experience that you won't see everything you want in one day. My kids where overwhelmed and I think if we actually signed up officially but didn't display the kids would have a great time. Allow them to go threw everything a few times. My wife was the one who said we should make a weekend of it. She was so impressed with everyone's great attitude there. Stash, she was so happy for what you did for the kids, they may have seemed a little weirded out at first when we showed them but on the way home they talked about how cool it was. All of the Brickworld displayers and official attendees where awesome. LEGO reps where awesome, it was a perfect event I can't see how it could be topped. The kids are now up my tailside for the NXT 2.0 after getting to play with them. oh, flickr pics if anyone wants to see more. http://www.flickr.com/photos/29208280@N06/...ith/3645639630/ again, thanks for the sigfig display, very, very cool.

Ya, sorry to all of the others. My wife was taking the picture while I talked to Stash2Sixx so she inadvertadly didn't get everyone in the picture. She didn't know I wanted ALL of the group pictured. Let me say though, for those of you who can't be seen, you are there. I don't know what is planned for the Figs, they are grouped now but I am sure chaos will reign supreme!!!!!

Thanks for having me and the boys in the SigFig. They loved it. Little overwhelming for them for the whole day but it was a great time. Pleasure meeting you also, great group display. It was one of our favorites. The details and little extras where great! I hope posting a picture is ok, don't want to take away from your future posting of pictures.

Oh my God what a great Brickworld! We just got home and the kids had a blast (Dad also). Your display was excellent. My boys loved it and thanks for directing me over to Stash2sixx.

That's awesome. I can't wait to see it today.
-
I like that idea. Maybe a Fire Station themed night club or restuarant?

Nice to see the motivation from those of you displaying at Brickworld. My kids are excited to be going,we will head down early Saturday for the opening of the public days. I'm sure it will be busy like it was last year but if you see a dad with two boys (7 and 4, blonde and red hair) and Dad seems just as interested as the kids you know it is us. Ya, like there won't be a huge amount of those there. I'm actually really excited to go this year, our LEGO hobby has taken off and it is because of the builders in the AFOL community and the inspiration they give the kids. "Dad, I want to build THAT!"

Amazing Work, well done.

The three for me and the kids are perfect. They will be very excited. Thanks so much for all your work!

When you have it available, a link to the Flicker account would be cool. I don't see it looking around. Thanks again for everything. My kids are so looking forward to seeing the display and see their little figs with Dad.

Well, you are running F1 cars and I am in F3000 cars. You have the distinct advantage. But, I'll give a call to Brawn GP and jump ahead of the pack fast enough. Road America, I know that track

Thank you. And wonderful Buildings in your signature. Hopefully I can start working on making them that nice for my layout.

Very nice. I'll bet I'll be buying those new set myself and doing like you did. Great looking rig you built. We both must have had racing on the brain today.
