Col. Brik, Billionare Playboy of PBR declares himself a Race Team owner. After watching a full weekend of great racing (Monaco, Indy, Charlotte) the Colonel can't resist spending more money on a race team. All three cars, (F3000, Indy light style class) can be stored in the Semi Rig. With extra room in the trailer for tools, pit box and spare motors can fit under the trailer. The Rig is a "sleeper" style with room in the back for a small office. The team poses for one more photo. Three drivers, three Cars, A Multi-Car team are the way to go in this day and age. Whoever becomes the dominate driver may step up to F1 if Col. Brik can get his car completed. You know they say, if you want to make a Small Fortune Racing, start with a Large one.

Thank you. The Middle Province is my Seven year olds area. He enjoys the Castle and Star Wars. Little disorganized since he was having some internal issues with the two themes getting along. More work continues every day.

The New PBR is up and going. Very different, the country is now three provinces with their own leadership. From left to right "The Wise Man" South Province, "Bob the King" Middle Province, "Crazy Ivan" North Province The South Province The Middle Province The North Province

Thank you again for also adding my kids. They are becoming more excited every day to see Brickworld and their own self standing in a display. You will know us when we pass, they will be the really excited ones* (knows every kid there will be)

Nicely done. Change the minifigs head and it could be mine visiting the store :)

PM sent, sorry for the delay. My two boys couldn't decide. They continually changed their minds. I finally made a choice for them. Thanks again for doing all this, much appreciated.
-
Excellent. I will ask them this weekend and it will be keep a surprise. They will be very excited. Thanks,
-
I hope this is not too last minute. Over this weekend if I get both my boys to pick their personal minifigs out and I can photograph them, if you have the parts could you display them? We went to Brickworld last year and the kids loved it. I think they would be very excited if I could point and show them their own minifigs in a display. It would make their day. If you can, great, if you cannot, I won't let on to them. Thanks

Great looking layout you have there. Wonderful attention to detail. I love the resort, even if it is pink and purple, it looks excellent. The color combination instantly lets you know what it is. Well done.

385 at last count. I didn't notice the minifig counter on Brikset, have to check that out. Thanks!

They are much like I am. Give them a inch, they will take a mile. I made the mistake of telling them they could play with the minifigs and buildings I built. Then they asked if they could have a Brikwar. Which they play it the proper way, all out chaos and destruction. Then it spread to the table. Then I went on vacation and it was all out War that they claimed didn't happen. So it has been called a Hurricane. I've been racking my brain this morning as to what to build next. To build another massive city complex, three separate territories, or just build MOC's that they can play with. I'm thinking a combination of the three so they can both have big bases to design as they see fit and then a so called "No Mans Land" that is a free for all area. That could be a general city area and I could put MOCs in it and see how long they last. I can foresee a lot of negotiating and concessions between us for territory, what bricks, and which figs we will get. This could be interesting.

I initially figured a Cat 5 but there where some structures that made it so it was downgraded to a 4 You still have a solid 4 years then if they are just around the bend. My oldest didn't become interested until 3, 4 years old. Which is about the age they find out that trying to pass a 1x2 stud isn't fun ;) Last night we completely cleared the table. Now comes the fun of sorting everything and trying to come up with a new layout. It does look like it will be split into three different zones of control. Two of which will have a very apocalyptic look to them I think.
-
Thinking of building three large compounds. One for each of us. Then we can do as we like in our personal areas. It's not the first time. They did have fun, and are all ready staking out new territory plus negotiating who gets which minifigs. Our rebuilding efforts will begin this weekend since rain is on the weather report

Haven't posted in awhile, just like enjoying everyone else fine work and MOC's here. Anyway, the story behind the post. PBR is I am my two sons display. It looked like this up until last weekend. Well, I went on Vacation and my two sons and their cousin had what has become a annual Hurricane So PBR is decimated. Many Figs lost in the winds. I am now trying to come up with a new idea, theme, layout for our LEGO Country. I'm thinking of multiple themes. Or possibly one giant base and open area for the kids to war in while I am not paying attention, or on Vacation. I wasn't mad when I returned. I kind of expected it since I have let them play freely and never get upset when they take something down and make something else. It is fun to watch what they come up with at 7 and 4 years old. I guess they didn't have any good ideas, or the Clones must have went all Order 66 and decided to destroy everything. Edit The New PBR is up and going. Very different, the country is now three provinces with their own leadership The South Province The Middle Province The North Province

the toy market is expected to be increasingly affected in 2009 by the worldwide recession. Nevertheless, the LEGO Group expects moderate sales increases in 2009. In order to support this growth, the LEGO Group is planning to continue its investments in the development of markets and products as well as production capacity. That is the sign of a great company. When others pull back, cut quality to keep profit, layoff or hire unskilled labor they fail to realize the product they make will suffer. LEGO just decides to get better. No wonder I love this Hobby.

Excellent review. This is on my list of "must buys" this year. Other mentioned some good ideas that should have gone into the set but the playability the set does bring will justify the price. At least for me. Great job getting the detail picutres in there. The tractor and lawn mower look very well designed. A few more figs, maybe a child or two, would have been nice but I guess we can't have everything

Great story and pictures. What a wonderful way to wake up this morning and read that one. I had a good laugh. I hope the story continues on in some way.
-
Thanks for showing these off and adding the pics on how you made them. I made a few for myself and modded a few. Different windscreens and made them police cruisers. Cool idea, thanks!

Impressive use of bricks. It looks so realistic that my first thought was that you posted what it was based off.
-
That part would work, I was thinking if it was possible try something like this. All though, you technically could leave it off, since those grille pieces where also optional parts. Some of the standard models didn't have them and the COPO Camaro didn't have them. Yes, they where on both sides. Your thougt on using that brick might be best since they are in a vertical fashion and not arranged horizontal. The 69's are a personal favorite of mine, I have one in my driveway. Cars are my other, very expensive hobby, there is a whole lot more in the garages.
-
I think your onto something with a roof piece up front. That would look very right in my eyes. The Mustang horse you could use a silver single round stud?
-
Yes, in the yellow car you had a grey section. I think you could put a pair or single side stud and a grey grill section there. And also, 69 Camaro did have the option for a mirror on the passenger side. It wasn't a standard feature so many models didn't have them.
-
This one is also good. You do enjoy the car building. If it is possible. Just past the doors, lower section ahead of the rear wheels, try to put a vented flat grey piece to represent the chrome molding most 69's had. Also the tails, try to get the tail lights in more so they can't be seen from the sides. Might be hard. 69's did have the incredibly small rear side running light but the tails didn't wrap around.
-
Little to much slope up front. The Mustang has a more boxed front nose, it does slope some but if you set that car next to your Camaro idea they don't work to well. Other then that, the front lower nose is good looking. The blue oval stud in the front center is a perfect touch. Everyone that knows Fords will know why that is there.
