Much better windscreen. The A pillars on a mustang are thick and solid.

Proper tail lights and a great front bumper. Well done indeed.

Thanks for a great review. Adding this set to my "must buys" of 2009

Amazing layout, well done. Curious if you plan to have the layout have baseplates in the future or is it to hard to do with that many different trains and electric lines running aorund?

Few more changes around PBR

MOC's: shifter carts / karts. red,black,yellow,white!
Col. Brik replied to momomonkey99's topic in LEGO Town
I am not seeing pictures either, only a link to wiki. But I do see in his avatar a shifter Kart so I will assume that is one of them, looks very good. -
As some mentioned, that is correct on tax, 10%. It also depends on where in the US. My county is 5.5% so the tax total would be less.

Good article. I like how you used the progression of every set with your ideas. My country suffers from the Big Brother, 1 police officer for every 30 citizens and it will increase after the holidays.

Sorting, Storing, Playing. Kids and Lego
Col. Brik replied to ColdBricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Bingo!, these two responses are spot on. Same for our house. A 6 year old and just 4 year old that play with LEGO with me. Different size plastic bins, from half-gallon up to twenty gallon. The small, one gallon size are great for color, type, or theme. Large parts or odd parts that are big go in the big bin. We also seperate by shape in three four gallon bins that are in shelves. Older picture of our LEGO area. If you see under the table I have the shelving at one part then the small individual one gallon bins spread out. If they decide to build they grab one, start filling it up then start building. If they don't finish it then they will leave it in the bin for later. The smallest parts I do as Squeker mentioned, bead craft boxes, the parts are seperated and easy to find then. And as mentioned above, Wal Mart, Target of a craft store, dirt cheap to buy also. -
Bookmarked, thanks for the link. It is cool to build with the kids, two of my own and they love our little nation of Figs.

I sure hope it means not knowing segments of your customers. That is why I wanted to point it out. The quote bothered me because for someone first reading about BrickArms and seeing that "LEGO UK" had no knowledge gives a impression to the uninformed that BrickArms is some kind of rogue company doing bad things. My assumption is LEGO is fully aware of BrickArms on some level and are fine with it. They just need to play the media game and wash their hands of it so they receive no bad press. Thank you for pointing out and expanding on my thoughts though, you wrote it in a much better way then I first did and made me clarify what I was thinking.

Sad to see poor reporting, again, from a majority of the news sources we are bombarded with daily. Will, if you happen to read this you have my full and complete support. If in fact anything bad comes of this, meaning you suddenly are contacting lawyers to fight off the crazies, you also have financial support. All be it not much but I dang well will send what I can if it comes to that. I was dissapointed to see LEGO UK throw BrickArms under the bus so to speak in the Sun article. Saying this no knowledge? That is either a outright lie by LEGO UK, ignorance, or a false statement by the Sun. To not be aware of BrickArms and be a part of LEGO means your not paying attention to your customers. Overall I am reminded of many local stories that went National and where bad publicity. All it ever did was help the business overall. People become curious, people who didn't know will suddenly want what is sold. My guess is BrickArms will see a swift increase in business. Also, the easiest way to show the media outlets that this is not a bad product is to buy more ourselves. Sales going up instead of down for Brickarms will give the message that we the public aren't concerned with their terrible reporting and approve of the product.

Thanks for the Trackdraw link, and aside from that, any future pictures planned for the new layout? Sounds interesting.

If you haven't all ready you could easily add a proper hit counter sitemeter.com to the blogs, give access to the writers and you will know what is popular and what isn't. It's a free program in the basic package. I've used it on another non-LEGO blog I write. I do understand your trying to figure out what content people like. I'd prefer a even amount of everything Town/City. It would be a change of pace for the readers, give different writers a chance to contribute what they are good at and please different readers. Aside from that, excellent blog, bookmarked for my morning reads!

I also think of buying general LEGO pieces in bulk. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=5574&cn=306 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=6166&cn=306 Or just the biggest buckets of LEGO's you can find. All the sets mentioned are excellent choices but you'll want to add a touch of your own style to the layout. Finding them used it the best bet.

Awesome! Nice to hear another member with a little one. You know how it can be and how much fun it is.

Excellent MOC, very realistic and the attention to detail is amazing.

Made some large changes to the layout of PBR. Plans for some new buildings are upcoming (Police, Fire Stations) and the rest of the sets that will arrive on the 25th. This was the old PBR And this is the "new" PBR with some things shifted around. The road brought to the front for easier access. The monorail is gone, never used it was Grand Puba Bob's first mistake in his reign as leader of PBR. The train lifted for easier access. Using the monorail polls it makes for a cleaner looking train track. It's great to be a AFOL with two kids that love Legos. Always a excuse to build. You will notice in the last picture the Custom Car Garage is surrounded with cars and junk. My youngest is hoarding.

scored it, $24 bucks at TRS, kids put it together and love it. The truck is excellent and the unique trailer parts I would imagine kick the price up.

I do, thanks. Very well laid out, respectful members. I like it.

As a HUGE Top Gear fan I must say your rendition and pictures are absolutely spot on. Great job, great MOC, great creation. Well done,

I'm up for it. Thankfully just joining up last week. Sweet, all ready getting perks from eurobrick. Thanks!

Thank you, yes, the Police and Fire stations are on the list for Christmas, after the Thanksgiving holiday week I'll be sure to add some pictures. Up it will go, and under. I am contemplating a underground secret base of some sorts right now. Thanks for the comments! Thanks, appreciate that! Thank you, yes there is a good amount of motivation and help in here, thanks for the welcome. Thank you, yes the kids really enjoy Legos. It's a great way for us to spend time together. I will be building up, just more pieces to collect! Thanks, I will! Thank you, I hope my contribution is helpful. I will enjoy myself, thanks again!

That's pretty good. It looks very much like KITT. Glad you went classice KITT and not the new one, Wow, epic fail on that show. Thee Pirate, thanks for the ideas on the front, I think I will use them.

First Gen Camaro, 67-69, is what it is based on, specifically a 69'. For a 79 you could just use a single clear on each side for each headlight, they are sloped, so maybe a sloped clear would work. You could still keep it six wide since most would recognize it as a Second Generation Camaro just with the sloped front. Here is a picture of the 69 Next try will be the Edsel. I'm still trying to figure out the parts for the Edsel.
