What if we have here the dragon in the story, disguised as a man by the witches spell?" Xander's countenance turns stern as he observes what is going on before his eyes, slowly removing the bow from his back.

    Speaking to Ecatsue, Xander says evenly: "I am confused as to why you need this room for your alchemy experiment? We would be more than happy to move your operations outdoors."

    I miss my grad school days at the University of Michigan and having a Meijer close by; unfortunately there's none down here in the South, but I'll have to check Walmart and see if they have anything worth mentioning (though the three area ones rarely do).

    "We came here with a clear objective; either we get the gold from him, or something of equivalent worth. While I feel for the man, this does not concern the current task at hand."

    Xander leans towards Nerwen and whispers: "Not too much, this man seems to be making some sort or chemical weapon if I had to guess; he will not leave, he will not bargain. I do not see this ending peacefully if we are to go through with our mission. If we stall for a little while longer, we might be able to force his hand with a full team..."

    "We can certainly try and see what he says; do you have anything in exchange for more time to pay the rent? As a businessman, I'm sure the owner is willing to bargain to recoup some of his losses."

    Xander sends down the dumbwaiter. Trying to stall for time, Xander chimes in: "Who do I have the pleasure of meeting with?"

    Xander continues the ride up, hearing the faintest of conversation between Cronk and an unknown voice.

    Hearing the dumbwaiter return downstairs, Xander hops in the machine, starting the journey up to join Cronk in the room.

    "I hope no one here is afraid of small, dark places; it seems we might have to resort to crawling in the ventilation shafts...." Xander states as they head downstairs.

    Buy one, get one 50% off again at TRU, this time excluding Castle, Technic and hard to find. Got to be careful with this "sale" though, but I'll probably stop by later today and see if I can get decent discounts on certain sets despite the markup.

    Group shot is awesome, Sandy. Also love the Fields pic, a nice memento of our slaying for what seemed like an eternity. May I request an avatar picture? I've never been able to get a good one with my bad photography skills/cellphone camera.

    "We should divide the batteries into groups of three. Our first measurement should be two of those groups; if they are equal in voltage, we know that the last group must contain the fully charged battery, in which case our second measurement would be one battery on each side of the scale from the remaining group. If they are once again equal, that means the battery not on the scale is the charged one. Otherwise the fully charged one will tip the scale. A similar process is done if we find that one of the first two groups has the charged battery in it."

    Speaking to Nerwen in an even tone, Xander begins: "What you state is true, my friend. I am a man of simple upbringing, I see the world more through logic and calculation rather than emotion and feeling. Fighting and killing this single individual will bring us no where closer to completing what we set out to do, however, and what we hired to do in the first place." Speaking to the entire group: "Who are we to judge a man ourselves? The people upstairs could be affiliated with more corruption, more hatred, and more blood on their hands than who we have standing before us. What Dyric is proposing sounds reasonable; our acquaintance here might seem like he is escaping without punishment, but life has a way of making things even in the end." Thinking to himself, he shakes his head slightly at Nerwen's sudden change in behavior. This was not the even-headed elf he remembered from his earlier adventures....

    Speaking up, Xander starts: "Do you have a personal vendetta against the people upstairs? What exactly have they done that is so offensive to you?" Whispering to the others, "The room upstairs does not owe back rent, do they? Perhaps we could persuade them into paying 400 gold if life or death comes into question? I have a feeling we will not easily persuade this bat-man..."

    Xander heeds Nerwen's words, equipping the Electro Gear instead of his medal; he didn't know what kind of creature or being would be waiting, but wanted to be ready. OoC: Sorry, busy weekend with graduation lunches and weddings I had to attend. Didn't have much time to post!

    Target (U.S., not sure about Canada) is having a buy one, get one 50% off sale this week in-store and online. This is a pretty big deal, considering they usually have their sets priced at MSRP (unlike TRU). EDIT: Should have read the fine print, only good with City and Galaxy Squad. Wonder if Collectible Minfigs counts as City...
