Xander looks on the ground beside him, hearing the slight flutter of an envelope land near his resting spot. Reading its contents, he writes his name on the piece of paper and sends it back to where it came from.

Xander makes his way to the quest board, signing up for Quest #80 and returning to his resting spot just outside the hall.
-
Xander glances over his shoulder, seeing a rather burly man shouting his way. "I did not catch your name, but I am indeed selling some items. If you would, I rather have all transactions done through writing, so send me a private message and we can talk details."
-
Xander slowly makes his way into the Hall, refreshed after a brief sabbatical in the woods. Walking towards the sign-up board, he pencils his name under Quest #78, and pulls out a slightly crinkled piece of paper to tack to the board: "FOR SALE: 1 Lv.-Up Shroom 1 Medal of Glory Please contact Xander Un'thor privately with any offers/details." Just as quietly as he had entered, he left the building; it was more peaceful outside, he thought to himself...

Just read the important announcement; it mentioned a change to the Hunter rolls. What changes took place there, is it a more powerful Shield roll and less powerful Aim?

Are there strict rules on how to role play? If someone wants to be a walking encyclopedia, why not? I can see people drawing the line when a character is doing something that adversely affects other players, but I'm not sure what the harm is in being "in the know" for something as trivial as NPC character knowledge, for instance.

Any new quests in the pipeline? I may take a bit of a hiatus if there's nothing coming up (not like I do any role playing anyways ).

WBD, great quest! Reminded me of a Brickdoctor quest, and that's a very good thing. My only one minor complaint, which seems to be echoing others, is that it did seem to drag at times; only three battles was a bit of a letdown, but I guess that's our fault for being pacifists. I've always liked puzzles/brain teasers/etc., so this quest played right up my alley. Fellow players were great as usual. It was awesome to finally quest with Cronk; Nerwen has evolved into such an intriguing character, and Dyric is Dyric. This game is a nice diversion for me, but I also have other outside commitments right now that take up most of my time. Add to the fact that I can only check Eurobricks on my phone 90% of the time, and that makes for a general lack of roleplaying from me. Hopefully no one is put off by it, since that's the way I'll most likely play this game until its demise. Can't wait for the next one!

This may have been answered before, but will an accessory with an elemental effect stack with a weapon imbued with the same element (electro gear and a weapon with lightning elemental imbued, for instance)?

I guess we'll never know the loot Ecatsue was carrying.

Xander looked the dragon up and down, shaking his head slightly; perhaps the party should have taken the man outside before healing him, he thought to himself as he put his Electro Gear on. OoC: I can wear an extra artifact now, right? -

"Ecatsue, in his current state, does not bring us any closer to our goal. I fear what might happen if the transformation completes itself; if healing him is what the party decides, though, then I stand by the decision." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #65: Breaking Down the Door

Xander switches focus to the Cavern Dragonling, attacking from the back row. If it is defeated, he will do nothing. OoC: Not that it matters since I don't have the Overkill Gloves (yet ), but shouldn't it have been 21x2 on the base multiplier for me (19 +2 for the quiver)? -

Casting aside his affinity for mechanical monsters, Xander favors flying types while attacking the Plains Dragonling from the back row. -

"Be warned, it seems Ecatsue has not finished his transformation. Keep him alive, and we run the risk of seeing his true form along with his true power...." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #65: Breaking Down the Door

OoC: Totally missed that, thanks. Xander looks to aim his attack at the forest dragonling, but notices its limp form on the ground. Turning his attention to the Cavern Dragonling, he attacks it from the back row. -
So with endgame's proposed rule, any enemy that drops gold is fair game? Isn't that basically back to QM discretion, since any enemy could technically drop gold? I could see Rogues avoiding quests from some QM's who dislike the class in general and will have no gold dropping enemies. However, the flip side is it might mean more gold dropping enemies in battle, which would help out non-gold earners (assuming the gold is evenly distributed).

The gloves were brought up at some point, it may have been scuba's original post since he hates them so much. :tongue:And yeah it was just a joke, although Heroica does seem to be full of stereotypes; if you look up the actual definition of rogue, you probably won't find altruistic listed as something that describes it.EDIT: Man, editing a post sucks on a phone. Sorry if formatting/spacing look off.

What's this about appearing in a calendar? And do we get a percentage of all sales?

I'm in favor of the Humanoid rule being implemented, but I think the Overkill Gloves should have a different nerf. They're magical gloves, after all, so they can make money out of thin air for all we know; but as they stand, I think they're slightly overpowered. And passing/using consumables on other players isn't just a Rogue thing. I've done it in the past, as I'm sure others have as well that aren't part-Rogue. The thing is, we don't always have the spare money to buy multiple nostrums/meads/etc. if we want to upgrade our weapons/defense. No one is forcing Rogues to be hastened, lucky and encouraged every battle; if the nerf forces Rogues to keep their consumables, so be it (besides, that's more in-character anyways isn't it? ).

Heroica RPG - Quest #65: Breaking Down the Door

Xander glances at Nerwen, the effects of the drug clearly taking over her senses. "Nerwen, I shall save my...essences....for another time; we should focus are abilities on this battle, I believe it can be done without any further assistance." Xander once agains repeats his attack. -

OoC: Sorry about that, was busy these last couple days. Xander targets the Forest Dragonling from the back row using his bow. -

OoC: Shouldn't my Natural Respite have restored my HP from the previous battle? "It might be a good idea to down the Forest Dragonling as soon as possible; as for the other targets, I'm not sure...."
