    Xander says nothing, checking for his bow. He whispers to Nerwen, "Wetnose? Differences? Might this be the ghost we are on the lookout for?"

    "I will be happy with a nostrum, or I can defer this time," Xander says as he follows the group to the next stop at the inn.

    Xander begins to retrieve his arrows amid the defeated furniture, careful to keep his distance from the sentient book.

    Xander joins Cronk in attacking the cabinet from the back row.

    Xander stumbles back slightly, taken aback by the book. Gathering his senses, he turns to Dyric: "Can Nerwen act before me? I may need the healing before confronting the mattress again." He notches his bow, repeating his attack.

    OoC: Is there a reason I'm first in the order? Assuming I roll a damage, I'll be knocked out by the free hit.

    Until further notice, Xander readies his bow to attack the mattress from the back row.

    "We may have found the culprit....of this," Xander says as he solemnly points to the body. "But, what is it?"

    Xander inspects the gems that are recessed into the wall.

    "Should we continue on our way? As we go through the inn, we might uncover more clues as to this supposed spook, and perhaps find a pickax we could use on this wall."

    Xander pauses for a second and closes his eyes, attempting to track down the inhabitant of the room. OoC:

    Xander lowers his voice slightly with the somber turn of the conversation. "Do you know if they were able to capture the fire drake, or did it escape in the commotion?"

    Xander whispers to the group, "Is there anyone here that would be willing to let me borrow a ranged elemental weapon? All this talk of undead, I would hate to not be able to participate in any potential incident that may come up. In my haste to reach the inn in time, I forgot to imbue a gem in my bow." OoC: Knew I forgot something before I left on this quest....

    Does the riddle require extensive knowledge of past quests? Because I'm looking at the map, and I'm not seeing any land of blue or pale people.

    Xander chose to hold his tongue, letting Nerwen do the talking. This gargoyle did not have the manners of the last inhabitant, and he did not want to do something the gargoyle would regret.

    Xander stood by quietly, thinking to himself that maybe his name wasn't as unique as his mother had told him. He waited for the scaly woman to respond to the questions at hand, gazing at the bookcase to see if any titles caught his eye.

    "I have no preference, I shall follow wherever we go; it might be wise to visit the biggest offenders first, though, in case word spreads that we are here collecting past dues."

    "Dyric, I believe Pipe H is the one that goes in the top right corner."

    "Sounds good, as long as everyone's business is done in the kitchen," Xander states as he munches on the chicken drumstick.

    OoC: My natural respite should have restored my health. right? "Dyric, we all make mistakes; we need to learn from them and move on. If we dwell on these issues, then nothing of worth will get done. You will redeem yourself, of this I'm sure." Pausing, Xander continues: "If you don't mind, I am interested in the Chicken Drumstick, though I will take whatever you see fit to give me."
