  1. Are they not including the soldier??
  2. Zdravei jiviah v Pleven kato maluk no sega sum v US. Radvam se che ima i Bulgari v Eurobricks! :) Cheers

  3. Oh good I thought I was going color-blind! It sounded like the discussion was not about the uniforms but about the actual vehicles, and that looked like regular old blue to me.
  4. Base plates are a great asset in the presentation of a castle. On a formidable hillside even the most drab building looks intimidating. The only down side is the constrain of the building space and the clash of the art style (older castles had stones, hills and other cartoony features all over their babes, which made them look a little out of place. Especially with the level of detail and realism of say the Kingdoms line, I can't imagine the King's castle looking great on one of these: Just doesn't fit right. Perhaps a redesigned and improved plate will be the answer; one that's more dynamic and not quite so angular. (And with better printing/stickers)
  5. Greetings Nikola! Where in Bulgaria are you from?

  6. I am sure there will be at least one more wave of kingdoms, don't worry! The next great set could be a medieval fair; it has to be something like that now that we have a market village, a farm, and all the castles you can think of. This would be a perfect compromise considering the many interests of AFOL's and kids alike. Imagine a set with a jousting match, a little folk band, a couple of craftsmen and traders selling items, a whole bunch of colorful tents and an eatery; All in all: 2 knights on horses, 1 nobleman with 2 guards, 4 merchants/craftsmen and 2 peasants to enjoy it all! Oh dreams....
  7. Yes I agree let's get Aanchir in on this! Personally I didn't even notice it's a new shade of blue, considering how dark the pictures are I would assume it's hard to tell and because there is no "true blue" for reference I don't know if that's the proper tint or just a poor camera representation.
  8. That hasn't stopped game developers from using orcs in games like Warcraft, Warhammer, etc. The green guys are a staple of many a video-game franchise and they are even making a LEGO comeback in the Heroica game. Once again I don't mean they'll be added to kingdoms; even my biased, fantasy-obsessed mind can distinguish between a fantasy theme and a classical castle theme.
  9. Wow a very nice suit! The small details like the red robotic arm and the skull on the base give this incredible detail and give it a very war-hammer-esque look! I wonder what's got the soldier so worried! Great job!
  10. I'm sorry I wasn't clear; I don't mean they will add a fantasy faction in the Kingdoms line, I mean the Kingdoms line will be stopped and a new line reminiscent of minifigure scale Heroica may be introduced. (This isn't my personal wish, but it's distinctly possible as all other themes have fantasy elements it's only a matter of time before castle gets the fantasy treatment. ) I view the changeover to Kingdoms as a way to break up the cluttered world of Fantasy Era which had a lot of warring factions already. It was a way to introduce new knights, a new design direction towards realism, and a clean slate for writing a new fantasy chapter to the world of Castle in the future. I am quite certain (yes I dare be so bold ) that we will see orcs again! (hopefully in regular green)
  11. The faces of the Alien Defense Force make me very happy! The old guy in UFO abduction is perfect; finally an old man who doesn't look depressed or happy-go-lucky!
  12. I agree with you fully; I think these will come on a circular spur and we'll have to break them off, so they are possibly a bit lighter plastic. I sure hope Heroica gets to inspire at least part of the next Castle theme. After 2 straight years of human factions, knights and civilians we are gonna be hit with a wave of orcs, mystical adventurers and magic. (Mark my words)
  13. The gladiator has a nice new weapon. I like the surge in new weapons over the last 2 years, it gives quite a wide variety of options when it comes to MOC'ing. I look at Collectible minifigs as a source of unique MOC parts and this series does not disappoint one bit! Dark Dwarf army here we come!
  14. Thank you for the birthday wishes! :)

  15. That might be the solution to the dispute behind lighting up the brains; it probably lights up the trans green from behind.
  16. The pics are pretty good: Lover the new king torso!
  17. New pictures from NY Toy Fair! (Look about 20 pics in for Alien Quest)
  18. This is what you're referring to: It wouldn't be a Disney film if they didn't alter most of the details on the flag. They kept the horns at least.
  19. No the figures won't light up, even tough that is a fun idea, I don't think they're bright-minded aliens, after all they are searching for brains here on earth. Trans colors are cool enough on their own without lighting effects, and quite frankly I can't imagine a special minifigure body to house such a device, unless they mount the light brick in the cockpit behind the alien. (Quite possibly)
  20. Wow that looks so appealing. Where did you get this?? This is great news, if they are showing up in certain select stores,I predict in about a month we will be seeing them on bricklink!
  21. Haha well played sir! You "ninjad" her mind. It doesn't really make sense to have these release in August though, considering the POTC sets are coming in may and the Alien Quest sets in July, it would be way out of the synch with the rest of the summer sets. I just hope this isn't the case.
  22. There very well may be, but take my advice: Never pass up a sure thing!
  23. Mikey, very cool idea! I am particularly fond of the original setup and the cutaway look of the build. Like others said the arches are a very impressive feature, and of course the tile work is great! PS I like your cult leader; very charismatic!
  24. I have a feeling that if the wild west theme is brought back it will be more in the light of a pioneering theme than of a stereotypical movie. Last time it revolved greatly around well established movie scenes like bank robberies, pursuits and shootouts rather than focusing on pioneering life. In the model of the Kingdoms theme there could be civilian sets of life on the frontier; think about it: 1) Ranch with Buffalo and Cattle 2) Saloon with food and drink 3) General Store 4) Stage Coach 5)Steam Train I just hope it's a realistic one, not like a steam-punk version of the wild west where zombie natives are taking over and cowboys with brass revolvers have to defend the territory. (On second thought...)
  25. You're right, I wouldn't call a minifigure without brand new molds boring because it isn't. I agree that people seem to neglect the printing as something that's a given and therefore not worthy of mention, but as you said we've found some incredibly useful new torsos and legs, and not to mention the vast array of new facial expressions and female faces.
