  1. What fantastic printing and ideas! Such a pity that they didn't have these back during the fantasy era; the orcs in green and the Golems would have been my favorite faction! A lot of very useful pieces and nice colors. Are those 2 shades of green in the Waldurk Forest set? They look like regular green and a lighter green.
  2. I too am not sure, if this indeed is the case, whether or not it would be for the better. I think we can look at it from the viewpoint that these minifigures are meant to be the specific character they are portraying. The space villain for example had a robotic arm which may in some cases ruin the usefulness of the body, but he is meant to be that space villain and anything else is up to us.
  3. That would be a great new trend! So far the only accessories we've seen instead of a hand are hooks! This can open the possibilities for larger alien looking hands in sets, so other accessories such as a baker's glove.
  4. Thank you all for the wonderful comments! ISC thank you for the front-page I am truly honored sir! It is very neat coincidence that the cheese slope on its side on top of a plate stud is flush with the level of a brick and tile adjacent to it. That's Danish engineering your you!
  5. I love this series, I'm already incorporating them in MOC's! Collectible minifigures are the best thing to happen to MOC's since bricklink!
  6. I find the horse barding a little strange. Don't get me wrong, the printing is great, but as to why they left a whole patch of it unprinted in the middle, I can't think of a reason. Other than that little detail it's a great looking set. I like the variety of faction armor lately!
  7. Thank you all for the amazing comments, they inspire me to keep building these. Thank you sir, it means a lot coming from you! And yes fantasy MOC's are what I'm going to do for a while so stay tuned! Thank you very much for the thorough and encouraging response Cutty! Great minds think alike as they say! I'm glad we had similar ideas to put into brick form.I had to add the adventurers, as any PRG or fantasy fiction fan would know that without a group of colorful characters you might as well not tell the story. I am going to do something interesting with them from now on. Well thank you very much! It certainly is nice to hear, and I would encourage people to build in this style, it was the most fun and satisfying MOC I've built to date. The way the geometry looks in real life, unfortunately the pictures can't even capture. Nonetheless, I would be happy to share how it's built if anyone expresses interest.
  8. Very nice! I love the older Maradona. I don't know if he's angry enough though, maybe giving him a chair to throw or a table to hit with his fist will increase the authenticity of the figure!
  9. Thank you very much! The lava; I had to do it! A little fantasy'ish but that's my mindset right now. Wow I am honored! And of course I have a few planned, I am sure you will like. Thank you! Like I posted above, I wanted to build something that hadn't been attempted all that much which left me with either a dwarf city or an elven city/forrest and the latter woulud have been much more difficult. Thank you sir! Thank you; I like to include the story to justify all of this madness. Thank you, and you are correct about the Bionicle masks; the one inside the throne room and above the fountain on the second level looked a bit like a human face with a beard so that sparked the idea. There are over 250 tan slopes, probably just as many dark bley, and then a few hundred in assorted colors. So to answer your question; way too many!
  10. My latest creation: (I was looking for a full blown Dwarf city but there were none I could find, so i decided to build the first ). I present: Omurtag: a Dwarven city deep beneath the ground, below the Kingdoms of men. Torrents of magma flow through its heart, and the faces of the old idols decorate its streets and buildings. Dwarves believe their ancestral heroes to be divine and worship them as such. The city was built as a standing monument to Dwarven pride and tradition, but the scene could not be more-different today. For the last hundred years King Tervel Irongut has been ruling the city as the sole monarch. A direct descendant of Omur Irongut (the founder of the city and a mythological warrior) King Tervel has stuck to traditional Dwarven values and politics for what his people believe is far too long. He has forbidden trade with the surface worlds, as well as social mobility beyond one’s clan. Worse yet, his entire royal guard, and the whole nobility is made up of fellow Irongut Clansmen, a fact that has pushed the rest of Omurtag’s citizen’s to the edge of frustration. From the tension a prominent clan of smiths and warriors; The Steelcaster Clan, has arisen to lead a rebellion against the King, recruiting numerous craftsmen and traders in a move on the King’s Palace Complex where the Irongut Clan makes its home. In his frustration and inaptitude, King Tervel summons a group of well-known surface heroes to help him resolve the situation, before there is an all out Clan War. Asparuh the Warrior, Liarah the Elf, and an Ork sorcerer known only as “Him” have arrived and are the only thing that stands between order, and a bloody war. As the crowd screams “Down with King Tervel!” and “death to Clan Irongut!” the future of an entire city hangs in the balance. The build without the figures: I hope you like it, you can also check out more pictures and a full story on MOCPages Comments are welcome!
  11. In "The Three Musketeers" there indeed are 3 musketeers and along with them comes a new recruit who helps them out throughout the book, and at the book's end is made a musketeer for his service to the crown. So good plan, just give them different faces.
  12. It looks identical to the Indy hat both in shape and size, so i think it is indeed the same hat. Well no big surprises in this pic, seems to confirm what we saw at the toy shows. The 80's jogger/workout/dancer girl is a little disappointing as she looks almost identical to the pop signer from S2. The dwarf is excellent, and so is the gladiator, I really like the body printing on both of those figures.
  13. Yet another beautiful craft! You are the master of sleek cockpit designs and the jet looks like it would come from the immediate future. I love the joysticks in the hands of the pilot as well. Keep on making these!
  14. I am just waiting for the day they open an exclusivley AFOL store somewhere; I don't see why not, it's a hobby like any other, except it's accessible across more ages and personalities. About series 4: just got a rocker, artist, mad scientist and figure skater; I am in love with this series! Now waiting for the rest pf the series to get here, the accessories seem made for MOC purposes; they really open the door for a lot of ideas that would otherwise have been dull.
  15. Let's hope you're right for the same of the incredible pieces and accessories such a theme will bring!
  16. Roman theme won't be mythological as their history is full of enough struggles and tales. Greek history on the other hand is somewhat obscure for most people and as far as heroes and warfare are concerned the mythology there shines brighter. So if more Romans are released they will be historic, while the Greeks may take after mythology. (Imagine, Medusa, Zeus or Hercules as a collectible!)
  17. Wow i am envious of your vast part resources! I think this is a great idea, i have not seen on of these giant scenes built from the ground up before so I am interested to see how it all turns out at the end. Even though you say it's early on it already looks better than 90% of the MOC's I see on MOC sites! Can't wait for the updates, keep them coming.
  18. I am aware of that, I mean this is the easiest, and most cost-efficient way to get a full set of 16. I don't need multiples and can't find them in my area except for in a store called urban Outfitters and they are $5 there and you aren't allowed to feel the bags. Three series of these later and after paying $15 to get 3 ring leaders from blind picks, I have given up trying to hunt these down and am gladly paying 20$ over the estimated value at shop-at-home to know I am getting what I want.
  19. Just bit the bullet and paid 75$ US for the whole series through Bricklink. I know I know, but considering there is no plausible way to get them for under $5 individually and by chance it's even more rare, it seems like the best option. I think this series is worth it, and can't wait to get them next week!
  20. The finished product look s nice! I rally love how the heads on the dead kings tuned out! Great work!
  21. Overpriced or not, my strategy for buying sets is and always has been buying the affordable smaller sets and only the most useful large ones, and then going to bricklink to fuel up on the nicer parts from overpriced sets. sure it's expensive but if the only reason you're getting the mill is for a few new peasants, animals and brown bricks you might as well pay just for those.
  22. I think we can call him Jim for all they care and it won't change their marketing strategy.
  23. Beautiful work! Very clean, detailed and the colors are gorgeous! I would love to see a whole city block built this way!
  24. What an incredible collection! I do think that crown looks quite good and wouldn't mind it being released as a back-u to the current one! The thing that impressed me most is the scale at which these are built! It's almost like (I say sarcastically) they were miniaturized and boxed and in the process drained of character for the final product. The "Europa" set would be an instant win with all historic army builders, and released even as a small unit of 10 figures it would totally be a jackpot for LEGO! (Here's hoping!)
  25. 1) Nurse, Lifeguard & Fisherman Entry (Build by Danchurch) – 1 point 8) Cheerleader, Surfer & Tennis Player Entry (Build by Cutlass_Iz) – 1 point 13) Ninja, Karate Master and Samurai Warrior Entry (Build by mookage) – 1 point Truly beautiful, creative and in some cases devilishly funny entries! A job well done to all!
