  1. Adventures set in Greece! "Olympus Quest" Mythological monsters come back to life and the crew fights them out, bringing us amazing temple sets, mythological parts and new treasure.
  2. That's true but if AFOL's had their way, bricklink would be a LEGO-run site with unlimited quantities of old and new pieces and set low prices. The hardship and search for parts is part of the thrill, what can I say.
  3. Quite often it was he other way around, especially when peasants started complaining about food shortages. I see your point though, and it would be a good thing to see pages and peasants running around trying to help on the battle field, but I think as far as LEGO is concerned, peasants = civilian life, and war = soldiers/knights/all the rest. With that in mind a "battle pack" of peasants is unlikely.
  4. Keep in mind those are preliminary pictures from a while ago, and they would change in sets if they are released in the future. I am a fan of all things nature in LEGO, so the more animal molds there are the better it is. I would love to see a vulture mold. Harry Potter had owls, Pirates had parrots, and the new Kingdoms have Chickens. Time for a vulture to appear!
  5. Indeed, they have done as we have asked, and it makes sense, considering AFOL's probably generate a good chunk of Lego's revenue. (I mean honestly someone should do a survey, what with buying multiple sets and spending hundreds to thousands of dollars a year on Lego) Make me think we should start a petition and a voting thread for what we would like to see next wave.
  6. I really like the diversity in all of your heroes. You've done a great job setting a feel of urgency and frustration in the scene and and I like how the tree contrasts the whole rest of the MOC by looking fresh and fragile. By the way, great work on the rocks, I'm always surprised by how well people build a rocky surface with just 2-3 colors.
  7. Wow the printing on the Heroica microfigs is fantastic! If only they had used that kind of fantasy printing on the Fantasy Era Castle factions. I now want a brand new fantasy line with orcs like the ones shown here! On a more relevant note, I would love to see different realms made for this game. Other Lego Games are gonna be a great source for heroes, villains and monsters etc. Imagine: 1) a Mummy level set in Egypt with temples and a Pharaoh, 2) an undead level with skeletons The list goes on..
  8. Yes that's unfortunate, but several stores on Bricklink sell them at $5 a piece. Not really a great deal, but it's the best we've got.
  9. I know that religion is controversial but I'd love to see a church released as a civilian exclusive. Imagine; some unique architecture, a lot of stained glass, monks and maybe a few printed books and tiles! I would also love, love, love to see a new and re-imagined wolf pack band of raiders, mercenaries and thugs. Alongside I hope LEGO releases a new pearl color blend, something to the effect of dark pear/rust orange to look like old worn metal, and that their weapons, helmets and shields make use of it.
  10. The medic idea is great, and indeed that is the most plausible way that we could get a soldier torso. The other path is through licensed themes like Indiana Jones where it is OK to include uniforms and weapons in standard minifigures.
  11. That's the tough challenge; they can make minifigures of violent armed men, but only if it's really old history or if they are fiction based. Every war in the 20th century (which is I assume what you mean by army guy) has left quite a few people shaken up, and still is a tender topic, and so LEGO won't be mking any World War minifigures, or any figs from more-recent conflicts. That is the policy I'm afraid.
  12. Most Americans say "Legos", it's how they're brought up.
  13. That's a great build and you have taken flawless photos! Excellent work on all minifigures, the accessories-and-face combos make them full of character and quite lively. The guy with the fish is my favorite. If I may make one little suggestion it is to add a few ripples or different blues in the water, but other than that I love it!
  14. You are right but I always say that any problem that can be solved by a cheese slope, SHOULD be solved by a cheese slope. I am pioneering the all-cheese-slope roof and it's not quite as clattered as this, but nonetheless it's a very unique piece and can be used to solve the issue of how to end a cheese slope roof smoothly.
  15. My kind of organizational system: even numbers all divisible by 5! I do feel that 10 is the perfect number of units to represent a faction unless you're getting into army building. I always like to build a hierarchy with different soldier types and usually end up with 6 general looking soldiers, 2 specialized ones, a leader, and some type of special character. Damn RTS games for skewing my mentality.
  16. Yes very true, but it's a great set for the figures nonetheless; one could always order up a ton of trans-blue future space guns form BrickArms and arm the alien horde.
  17. You have got to be kidding! Do you know what 40,000 minifigures looks like? Either you are a convincing story teller or have unlimited storage space and budget.
  18. When I was younger I used to cherish every box and keep it in the best condition possible. If I was to do that now I would run out of room to move around my house. I keep some cooler little boxes, but because the pictures on the instructions book always match the box art I think those are a nice substitute.
  19. Nice catch! I like that lighthearted sense of humor. I should say though, the smallest set is a an amazing army builder and parts pack (as if anyone wants to build an army here... )
  20. That's a good theory, but impulse sets are such a staple of LEGO. The little birthday gifts from relatives who have no idea what a kid is into so he gets a whole bunch of minifigures from a lot of themes. That's basically what I grew up on since we never had enough cash in Europe to buy the big sets in the 90's. It'd be sad to see them go, and also impractical as they are the first taste you get of a theme, and also what hooks you into buying more. I know it has been said, but what wouldn't I do for a medieval version of the little farmer impulse set that came out last year...
  21. Solid beautiful photos, no surprises but it's good to see the final versions. I sure hope there are impulses as well, only 4 sets for the year isn't really a good sign.
  22. Well this is great! Such wonderful parts and colors! The ADU guys look great, jumpsuits and all, and their vehicles aren't half bad. Yet another picture of Alien Abduction without the soldier (I know it's the same one as before...) But it's frustrating as I want to see which ADU defender is coming with it. (Fingers crossed for the old guy!)
  23. Rumors are misleading, the sales figures aren't. These sell so well that for the LEGO Group to stop them at series 5 would be like them saying; "you know what we've made enough money,we don't need any more"
  24. I live in Western New York and in this area the big sets are still around, but in sparse numbers awhile the impulses (especially the wizard) are gone. It's interesting that this will be a year without a new major set with knights; it seems we've had one of those every year now, be it castle, outpost etc. I guess the new dragon prison comes closest.
  25. 4 Zombie Peasants
