3) Fisherman Entry (Build by cimddwc) - 1 Point 7) Pilot Entry (Build by Dan Church) – 1 point 29) Mummy Entry (Build by Jippon) – 1 point Great job to all! Wonderful creativity and style! -
Well he's got a green octopus body, a funny uniform that looks like it has come from some spoof of Fidel Castro cartoon, and a head that is generically alien (without all the mechanical bits the cyborg comes with) I would say he is also the creepiest of the bunch too, so win on all fronts!

I am aware... What I meant is more detailed organic appearance with textured scales and semblance to something like a dinosaur or lizard. This is based on the fact that the new helmets and horse armor for Kingdoms are more detailed and better-scaled in contrast with the old horse armor. In the spirit of the new style of higher detail, I am anticipating that IF and only IF Kingdoms got a dragon, it would not be a recycled piece but rather something similar to what I described above.

Awesome bike! I just got an idea for an engine for this new "castle punk" you've thought of; how about a little animal like a rat running around a circular wheel and generating power for the bike!

Haha, my favorite kind of speculative question! If indeed there is a Kingdoms dragon, which is unlikely because we have seen no Legendary creatures so far (except for the baby dragon which could be argued is a gargoyle of sorts), then I can foresee a new mold being used for the entire body to make it look more realistic and less cartoony. That is, after all, the premise of Kingdoms.

Just saw this musical in February! You did an incredible job portraying the accuracy of the scene and the cluttered look of the barricade is awe-inspiring!

Crownies=most boring Castle faction?
Sirens-of-Titan replied to dwarf-brik's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't think so, the crown knights are one of the modern factions with a lot of character, and a beautiful color scheme. May I remind us of the jelly bean knights? They certainly were colorful, but are in my opinion the most useless castle faction ever produced. The forces of evil in that line were also quite drab, and had even less variety in armor and helmets than we've had in Fantasy era and Kingdoms. I think the reason some people dislike them is because their symbol isn't as potent as a lion, for example. I think the dwarves were a great idea, and am disappointed we didn't get at least one other set in the last wave of Castle. There is no reason crownie knights should be looked down upon;if they look outdated compared to Kingdoms knights, don a few bucket hems on your knights and stick in blue feathers, and you'll see they fit in the Kingdoms line like a glove. -
Fantastic! Reminds me of the King Kong movie!
-
This gave me chills! Seeing it for real now I am more eager than ever to get the whole series in one go!
-
No, no, no... remember the rule of 3 waves then continue with a similar theme. Castle isn't going anywhere, to me it doesn't even matter if they change up all the factions again, it's not like they keep making sets from the first wave. You get the sets in the limited time window in which they are released and afterwards it's as if they are discontinued. So to me each wave brings it's own rewards, and there's no sense in re-releasing the same sets 3 waves in a row just to feel like this is the castle theme now.

Yes it is printed but I mean printing that is especially meant to be dwarven armor like the S3 elf had elven armor. -
MOC: 2 New Steampunk Walkers and some figs.
Sirens-of-Titan replied to CptMugwash's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I must say, excellent group of minifigures. The walkers are quite nice and you have definitely established yourself as the steamunk pro around these parts. i also like how you adhered to archetypes but at the same time added your own spin as well as classic LEGO names. The technique with the axe blade on the musket is something I discovered as well, and it works wonderfully! -
Excellent build Bernd! A very lively scene with great use of colors and of course phenomenal minifigure choices! I like that diverse use of techniques and textures all over.
-
Well, when you think about it those were the major complaints/requests by fans last year! More dragon knights, a dragon knights cavalry unit, civilian sets, a cheaper King, and of course animal molds! This wave is a testament to the fact that LEGO listens to AFOL's and that AFOL"s know where it's at.
-
Haha well done sir! Point taken and actually that's a very generous and useful group of letters. (Sure beats something like XYZ force )

I am trying to find a use for those blue jumpsuits but the damn lettering restricts what you can make with them. Any ideas for useful abbreviations that could excuse ADU in MOC's?

How Many Minifigs do you own?
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Millacol88's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My friend I believe you have a collecting addiction! -
Not necessarily true, there are already enough sets to fill your ranks of "good vs bad" guys, and the suggested modular build would serve as a setting for the world behind the conflict. I can't think of a single movie, book, game or historical story where the environment wasn't as important as the conflict itself, so i say bring on the civilian buildings so they can be used as store houses, burned down, decorated by your favorite faction's flags and used to set mood for the time and place of these battles.

Wow, normally base plates make MOCs look awful but this looks really good! My favorite part is the bridge, but you've done some great brickwork as well, and of course, very neat minifigures.
-
Well the pharaoh's quest fig is wearing Indiana Jones clothing, with an older face. hence it represents the idea of the adventures theme. I see two possibilities: 1) The LEGO Group has decided to make a sequel of one of these themes and has asked for AFOL input as to which one, and so we will soon vote and pitch ideas for the continuation of either Adventures, Atlantis or Fantasy Era! (A guy can wish...) 2) This is a building contest in which we bridge gaps between themes with a convincing story like time travel. Honestly, I know that when it's revealed it will be the most obvious and interesting answer, but until then, speculations away!

How Many Minifigs do you own?
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Millacol88's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That was a great little film, makes me feel like my own collection is insignificant and can literally fit into just one of those drawers they guys kept showing off! -
Is this still going on? I assume we would have to wait until the summer sets come to find out if the issue is resolved, but as far as I'm aware, they fixed it a while ago.

How Many Minifigs do you own?
Sirens-of-Titan replied to Millacol88's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My apologies sir, I did not believe it possible! Wow, just wow! May I ask why? I mean I am as dedicated a fan as any, but how could you manage to make use of that many soldiers? Do you ever set them up in battle formations, or do you just like the feeling of having them? To me anything over 1000 mini's I can't find a use for, unless you also have millions of bricks and are making the world's largest MOC. (respectfully) -

You are correct; can't wait for my evil dwarf faction! This is the first time we've seen printing on a face and a torso that is MEANT to be a dwarf.
