  1. Oh I see. I think I will go for something like Jim and Kevin Moo pictures for my next instructions.
  2. Thanks for building it technic_addict ! It looks greats with these 5L beams above the wheels.
  3. I attached it to the gearboxes I have designed and it works perfectly. The lever use to hung up if you move it slowly. Yes, bands would still make better mechanism. Do you have some pictures of the shifting system you have used ? It would be interesting since it seems to be working really well.
  4. The shifter actually goes back to position without touching it : http://bricksafe.com/files/Charbel/MVI_6489.MOV
  5. I just found a way to do a shifting system witch doesn't use any rubber band. Basically , it's the same system as my Porsche 919 but I replace the bands by these connectors. Some people don't like having bands inside a car (including me ), so this allow even more possibilities. The system is really reliable and works really smoothly. 6. Exactly ! Unfortunately, pictures of his original system aren't anymore available.
  7. This depends a lot. Personally, I don't care much about using my ideas in others MOC. I often got mails asking me it they can use my gearboxes in their MOC. I always answer Yes, and telling them that they don't even have to mention me. Actually, what I don't like is this : I use to search "charbel lego" on Youtube sometimes. I saw this about a month ago. He actually copied what I did and then wrote in the description : "inspired by Charbel". Look, even the music and the shots are the same !
  8. You are totally right, I used your 90° limiter and NLF77 shifting system ( actually, the shifting mechanism was created by NLF77 on Techlug almost 4 years ago, piterx improved it )
  9. I noticed that the newer style of driving ring had more friction a few weeks ago when I started building my new car. Here are some pictures who show the differences between the the 3L connector and the old one. You can clearly see that the white connector is a bit longer that the regular 3L connector. In the last picture you can easly slide the connector on the left under the liftarm without touching it, but you can't with the one on the right. The same happened with the new Porsche connector.
  10. For me : A= BrickBuilder B=THE BRICK SHOW C= Sariel D= Jangbricks
  11. Wow, this is massive ! You did a great job, I really like how it looks. The trailer can be a bit better if you use 62.4 wheels.
  12. This is absolutely impressive. Everything is so detailed ! Can't wait to see it all done !
  13. Congratulations, your car was the best of all ! I agree for the Pro tag, you totally deserve it.
  14. Thank Jubuilder ! @Victor Imaginator : Are you using the Camera RAW window when you open a RAW file in Photoshop ? It's the same settings you will see Lightroom. It is just organized in a different way. The big advantage is that you can past customs settings from a picture to other pictures. This is why I choose Lightroom : I edited one photo and then pasted the setting of this picture to all the other similar pictures. The screen shots are the original RAW file on the left and the edited RAW file on the right ( before/after ).
  15. You have amazing skills at editing ! I only shot in the daytime so it was a bit easier for me. To adjust perfectly the white balance, I put he vibrance and the saturation to 100 and then adjust the temperature. I use this trick a lot for my nightlapses and it works greats. Adding sharpness and luminace was also essential. This is how it looked :
  16. Thanks Nebulaire ! I only shoot RAW too, this is on of the reason which made me buy a DSLR. I edited everything in Lightroom ( this software is so useful when it comes to edit hundred of pictures ). But I still don't have a proper lighing source.
  17. No ! I love the look of your pictures. This is something I can't achieve. Great ! Can't wait to see your lmp1 !
  18. Congratulations to them ! All of these entry worth to be in the top 10. Strangely no 919 have been kept.
  19. Ok so here are some picture of the chassis ( taken from the instructions )
  20. My bad, I read MOC instead of MOD. That change the sens of the message.
  21. You are totally right. I don't think my MOC desserve to be on the HoF. My car is really not impressive compared to the amazing creations in the Hof. Otherwise I will try to add a few picture of the chassis of my 919 in its thread. So people can compare.
  22. I'm absolutely not attacking any builder. I'm sorry if I felt rude with that post. I was just saying that if you consider a lmp1 a MOD of the 42039, it's a bit like saying a supercar is a MOD of the 8070. I took Paul as I example. Sorry for that.
  23. Seriously, a MOD. Of the 42039 I suppose ? Well, in that case every Paul Borakto car is a MOD of the 8070.
  24. Thank you all ! I'm glad to see your liked the instructions. I am right now building it to test the instructions, I found some small mistakes so the file will be updated soon. @LegomanAdam : you're fast ! if you found any mistakes or something unclear, don't hesitate to tell me.
