Yakuza Family - Confirmation and Discussion
def replied to badboytje88's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Simply as an educational thing: as I mentioned in thread, I went out for kaiseki tonight, for a farewell event for my winter job. Kaiseki is a style of Japanese food served on a multitude of little plates. It's a little costly, about $80 per person, but all you can drink alcohol. There are a lot of little portions, but for the most part, they were exquisitely good. Appetizer: a goblet of mozuku, a kind of seaweed served in vinegar; fish served in a kind of gelatin; in the cup, I don't know what it was, it was maybe some mixed meat and vegetables in a green cream sauce. It was good, not great. The sashimi plate was awesome. I could have eaten three. The red stuff is tuna, the flesh/red stuff is shrimp, and the orange stuff was sea urchin. I don't usually like uni, but this was creamy and a little sweet. This was the best plate of the night. I had to make a speech, and two courses accumulated in my place. The dishes are gorgeous and hand-made of course. On the right is boiled veggies and such, in broth; but on the left is grilled fish in a cream sauce... It was awesome too. Really divine. A light salad near the end. The sushi near the end was amazing too. It was made with suu-meishi, vinegar rice. I've never had it before, it was great. And, as always, a European style dessert. -
Unvote: Emi Vote: Akira (Bob) I've noticed a blaring discrepancy in Akira's private messages, so I'd like him out of here. His buddy-buddy relationship with Hiroki is simply icing on the cake. That guy needs to fry (and then be held accountable afterward if I turn out to be wrong). Let's lynch that fack-megablocks

I find it cute how Lizzy has repeatedly watched the conversations today, and avoided jumping in. Hoping Emi gets convicted instead. Lizzy, if not today, then tomorrow. Silence is simply a nail in the coffin. Ask Yasu or Kenta, who avoided the end of their time here, and it didn't save their scum-butts. While you folks watch the temple, I'm going out for some kaiseki! What use is there living in Japan if you can't enjoy the divine cuisine?

Show, don't tell.
-
Oh! You said you were townie. Why didn't you just say so earlier Hmm. It sounds like the same defense as all the scum we convicted. Thanks for being helpful and playing I'm so torn, between Emi's utter lack of interest in defending herself, and Lizzy's clear lack of hypothesizing skills.... But, frankly, I'm far too unimpressed with Emi's definition of "town action." I'm going to switch it back, and hopefully some others see what a lack of interest or attempt to make a case for herself Emi's done. Unvote: Lizzy Vote: Emi (Brickdoctor)

Thanks for that helpful link! That clears you! My research so far is that you've been vocal, but not helpful. Every post today is evidence of that. Which is a good enough reason to take you out. Plus your total inability to muster up a defense, and seeming positively bitter at being asked to, further shows an unhelpful attitude. Seriously, it's your job to defend yourself. If you want to throw accusations at me, I can easily defend my own actions. It's not asking too much of anyone, at least not on the seventh day. Again, it's merely asking you to play the game you signed up for.
-
Yup, I have been sleeping this whole time, so I need you to compile your defense for me. The investigator is choosing not to check you for whatever reason. I'm sorry for asking you to -gasp!- play the game! It's pretty unfair of me to do Your logic is quaint, that everything you do is townie, but of course not a single person here will consider it a valid one. Frankly, this hostility is unbecoming It's in no way a crime; it's a scum tell. That's how Hiroki gave himself away, with "helpful" theories that were in no way helpful. I repeat, it's not a crime to propose theories. Propose away!
-
I would like you to document your townie actions, collect them for us in an easy to read fashion. This is precisely the reason I asked you to do so The reason it's scummy is because it's so implausible. I had already proposed that just before you swept in with your hypothesis, but you would have had to be paying attention to notice that And thanks for telling me what I'm supposed to do; I realize that I've been a useless bump on a log up until this point. I'll try to contribute at Lizzy-quality levels from now on Just to save us from future hypotheses: unvote: Emi Vote: Lizzy (Redblade)

Vote: Emi (Brickdoctor) I'd like to see a solid, documented defense to not make her the candidate today. Unfortunately, in my experience, such brusqueness, right from the start (and not as a reaction to prickish behavior from someone) is often scum.
-
Um, I've named names already As for conversions, I'm not counting on it. There has been a scum night kill every night except night two. Do you really think the vig was converted? Is that because there were two kills? The level of hypothesizing here is moving you up in the likely scum rankings
-
Normally we don't like bumped old topics, but in this case I'll make an exception Thanks for reading. Thanks a lot, if there was one mood I think I have in drawing, it's melancholy. It's what I like
-
My hypothesis is this: We have taken out the Mutineer's killer, likely it had been Chieko, since she had claimed to be blocked night two and there was no Yakuza death that night. Furthermore, Setsuko was likely the blocker, since no one was blocked that I know of (and please let me know if you know differently ). The above statements are, in my humble estimation, 80% likely to be true. As for the Red Ninja, this is all conjecture. If we assume that five was the magic number, and I think that was the case, there is likely one Mutineer and one Agent left. The Mutineer's kill shifted along to the remaining scumbum, and I wonder if the two haven't just intertwined. The resulting killer is no longer a black ninja, but an evil, cursed red ninja. Look at those eyes! That's just a crazy hypothesis though. Unfortunately, the investigator didn't track a scumbum last night, but at least the confirmed family is getting bigger While Emi wants to take out Lizzy, with a passion, I want to take out Emi. I find her whole manner perplexing. This is based entirely on her public behavior, so if the lynch is between the two, it's up to you folk to make the call. I already have Tadao's innocent blood on my hands, and will not rally for this lynch in case I'm wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And Daisuke, you messed up my list: Saburo was not the one, it was Emi. If you follow the rest of the day, you'll see that I fixed up that typo. I firmly believe Saburo was town, and think this janitor business is simply a way to distract people from the facts.

Oh no! An orange mutineer! We're screwed!
-
I don't think that's your intent, which is why I tried to be nice in the way I phrased things I don't think "My cousin is in Tokyo," is a justification though.
-
Honestly, it's a well-done model, but it rubs me the wrong way. It really seems too soon to do something playful about the subject. More than five times as many people died as did in 9/11, and I think a lot of people would have difficulty seeing that disaster built from LEGO, over ten years later. I'm not Japanese, I've just been here a long time. I asked my (Japanese) wife what she thought and her first answer was, "最悪" My two cents.

Check this out, proto-dubstep, from around the mid-90s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs33sYYkYxE Me, recently I've been chilling out with the lord. That chorus is like a shock of white light:

Is something up? The day has run half a day long. -
Well, the point there would be that we have quotes and stuff to put it all in perspective.
-
I think we will have more difficulty reaching a consensus tomorrow. At this point, it's hard to say what is helpful, unless it concretely leads to something. That's been my main suspicion of Emi, a feeling that there's a lot of talk, but a lack of substance. If vanillas want something to do while waiting for day seven, I recommend scanning the first few days in light of the recent scum convictions, seeing who those scum accused (who will likely be town) and the people they avoided, who most likely will be scum. Lots of ways to stay busy
-
Emi's already in the firing line tomorrow, regardless Wait, this day isn't over yet
-
No worries, we'll verify you the old-fashioned way, by feeding you to the dragon

There's zero chance that Setsuko is a miller... unless she had zero idea of how to use that role. Miller's need to be doubly town in order to keep themselves from getting in the way. And she has decided to claim it after previously acknowledging it in private. A while after this, she decided to claim miller I'll admit, it's decent of her not to wave the white flag and surrender. I'm sure her remaining scum mates appreciate it too And I appreciate the effort some of the quieter family members have made today, but let's lay off Shiro and Shizuko, they're okay Yakuza
-
Just for the sake of it, I'm going to Vote: Emi (masked builder brickdoctor). I fully expect Setsuko to be lynched, and will switch my vote if that somehow seems to not be happening, but I want to express my deep discomfort at the contumacious behavior shown today. We'll collectively cross our fingers that something comes up more suspicious than you tomorrow

I made that list before Daisuke became indisposed
