Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Four: Motorcycle Drive By
def replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, we could ignore the flailings of a scum. After all, the flippity-flappity of those flailing lips is going to become deafening if not removed soon. That's my professional opinion on the matter, as a man of the law. Flippity-flappity. -

If Shadell were town, scum wouldn't janitor him. They would be happier having a cult confirmed, meaning the town would be more frantic, and spend their time hunting cultists as much as scum. So, for scum, they want town looking for a cult. Plus, it would give a solid reason to lynch Oscar, which would also make scum happy. As for Daisy, will I be sad lynching little miss Tourette's syndrome? No. It'll be fun -
Let's get rid of the first Star Wars tag. It's not doing anything for me.

Woohoo! My first contest and I came in second! (I didn't place in that second contest I entered, so this more than makes up for it). Thanks everybody! This will be motivation to enter again. I'll go for the Avengers one, I'll have to figure out how to juggle the tags later.

Congratulations to the winners! There were some clever works, and I was happy to particpate in my first EB contest. Lets hope Superhero Month becomes an annual thing! -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Three: Don't Ask Me Why
def replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
In light of the discussion today, I will vote for Shadell. For the most part, I think his story is plausible, and well within the zaniness that occurs in a place like EB Heartlake. It's that Oscar wants to bet his life he is right, and I think that's worth going with. Vote: Shadell (Shadows) -

As a last note before I nap, I wonder how to confirm Shadell's claims... I'd like to believe them, but... -

Hmmm. I have serious concerns with Dave's reactions here too. Both in thread and in private, he's exhibited traits that have been scum to me in my previous experience. I would be fine lynching him to test it, but if there are better, results based targets, I'm up to switching to them. I'll be out of town for much of the remainder of the day, and will have to catch up on things before the day ends. -

Well, Patty certainly has evil eyes. I worry she has what one might call "Trisha-syndrome," where the lack of experience might lead to poor decisions. I have a much harder time calling true scum behavior on people (or horses) with that particular illness. But I have nothing to say to defend her either. What's your take on Dave? Particularly his overreactions at the end of the day yesterday, when a finger or two was softly pointed at him? -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Three: Don't Ask Me Why
def replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I seem to have found something to give Daisy a defense Looking back at yesterday, when the news about the frames came up, both the scummy Walter and the likely scummy Matilda (plus the pinging Dave) all supported testing out the frames meaning with a lynch of Daisy, so it's quite likely she, at least, wasn't on their team. No clue about this suspicious cult, but for the time being, I can strike her off my scum list. (And that's why we go back and reread past days, folks ) -

There's a heck of a lot to take in, but I think at least we can give him a day. But if not him, who? I have a few who have been pinging me: -Daisy, for both the scummy behavior with the lie detector, and the looming problem of the frames: the results seem not to be lunch-based, both due to the wording of the lunch, and to the lack of anything being found on Katie, though she'd used her lunch also. This is a big, flashing arrow pointing at Daisy. -Dave's outburst of defense at the end of the day yesterday struck me as a scum-flail, though it could just as well be town-panic. -Billie's been rubbing me wrong since day one. Just lots of hypothesising and fence-sitting, which seems to cloud the discussion rather than clarify it. I'd much rather see people propose the wrong thing than be so wishy-washy. Since Matilda is out, and after Shadell, is Jimmy still at the top of Oscar's list? What are our options? I read through the day, but it really was too much to take in in the short time I have to, so concise bullet points would be nice, and most likely helpful for all after this long morning -
If that's from the Astonishing X-Men, then it's amazing. I think that was the title of one of the series. I love this book. Really great on all levels.

This is a little too much to take in while I'm just back from my nap. At least we have some solid lynch/vig targets. When the voting starts, should we agree to post-pone things a little bit in order to keep the conversation flowing? -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Three: Don't Ask Me Why

For some reason, I find this post totally scummy. Lots of conflicting maybes. Maybe she's just helping out. Maybe she's trying to propose very unlikely things to completely distract from the matter at hand because she's scum. I feel it's the latter. The scumdar is pinging me heavy here. Wow. A pre-emptive argument. It's a smart move, and the townie one. It's fair that you got jailkept, as suspicion was lobbed at you by the for-now town cleared Oscar (led a lynch on a scumbum, works for me). Of course, there is a possibility of a conversion, but we can't vote on the basis of what we don't know. If you have no crucial town role, than I don't see a great reason not to test the theory of why there was no night kill. -

That's great news about Walter! I hadn't followed his words overly closely, but it's interesting to see his guilt lined up with being uncomfortable with the idea of a lie detector I really thought it was less than 50/50 that he was scum, since I figured it was more likely the protector chose right than that the blocker/jailkeeper did. All the same, it's great that he was taken out, and we have all the more to work with... Mainly, seeing where Walter steered the conversation and pointed fingers, and pointed away from in the first few days. And I'm sure some other information will be filtering out throughout the day as others' lunch results come in. This is a strong position for town! -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
def replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It does. I think the scum would assume that it was true at first. Why? Because it's risky not to. Shadell would claim anyway, since he knows he would be statistically safe, but other scum would not want to do it if they don't have to. (and some scum would make a huge deal trying to show how impossible it was to discourage it all together) And I think they would not want to say it using both "I'm innocent" or "I'm town," since they have no experience with how a lie detector role works. -

I do still have issue with Daisy (as I've said today). Her clearing you doesn't make her town, and her obstinate attitude doesn't either. I don't agree with your theory about the glasses having to do with a one-time watcher ability, because I was specifically told it would find her "job," and lunch doesn't sound like a job to me. As for the voting, God has enough to deal with without me sending messages asking for clarification. At this point, God should only be contacting people privately to give action results, not to help people out one on one. -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
def replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think it's a pretty open situation. The chance of the killer being blocked is about equal to that of the target being protected. Actually, the target being protected is statistically much better, since we can eliminate a pile of non-active players from the target list, making it more statistically accurate. Saying this, I'm not so confident Walter is scum. I'm mostly voting on the fact that he has raised some others suspicions early on. I'm sure he'll get convicted, so let's do this: Unvote: Walter (WBD) Vote: Daisy (Scumba) I do this for two reasons: 1) I like being the odd man out at all times if possible. In fact, if you watch some of the 'movies'/'dreams' I've been in, you'll see that I love contrarian voting and 2) I want to see how lenient God is when it comes to lynches. Nobody here has any doubt as to who I'm lynching, but as my unvote was cast aside yesterday, while my first, technically improper, vote was cast, I'm curious as to whether this will fly. I think it's good for town to know. I'd hate to see a game decided because someone made a spelling error and God ignored their intended wishes -

Since we are working in the "majority-lynch" rule, I think it's best to help complete the current lynch. If the evidence presented so far is correct, then Walt's our best choice. Vote: Walter (Waterbrick Down) -
REVIEW:79003 An Unexpected Gathering

Thanks. Glad to hear it isn't just me. I would give this set a near perfect score. The design is phenomenal. It uses a lot of the building techniques you tend to see here in the advanced MOCs (layering in the grassy outer part to create a nature-like surface, very clever snot techniques in the windows), it has six mini-figs, all with dual-printed torsos and all-around head printing. It's almost all brick-built. There are very few plates. There are a few stickers, but they are very good ones! The ones on the flat tiles are prints of wood grain, and the other is a sticker of Bilbo's book. They are about the best stickers I've seen in a set. I paid ¥7300, which is maybe $90 US, but compared with other sets of this price, including non-licensed ones, I think it's a solid deal. This is a great set. -

I can corroborate this. No conflict this time around. When you choose to play mafia, the number one rule above all, in my books, is leave your baggage at the door. -

If there's one thing I've learned in life, is that people will assume I'm arguing simply for being taking part Hey, law and order, peace and love. That's my way.
