Having just read the article, I think the members here are the ones not doing research. They didn't nominate the friends line, but actually just a single set from it: the beauty salon. Will that change opinions here? Likely not.

I find a really sharp line between happened some time in the late 90's, part of the manga influence I guess, where comics just got a lot more brisk, and even though I love them, those older comics just are harder to read in comparison. It's like watching old movies too, the pacing seems really slow compared to contemporary works. I love the Dark Phoenix saga, but that writer in particular, Chris Claremont, is famous for exposition. Every issue, the characters narrated their abilities in thought boxes, or the writer just told it. It's really repetitive now. Still great in my books, but not as fun as it used to be. Anything in the Ultimate line should be a fun read. It's all modern style. Some of the writers are better than others. I mostly enjoyed the first two Ultimates, Ultimate Galactus was mostly good, and I liked the Ultimate Spidey too. And it's less weighed down in history. Right now though, as someone who knows a lot of X-Men history, I'm really enjoying All-New X-Men! I will keep reading this one as it comes out. It is both classic and fresh!

Hi! I'm Fred. I'm the new guy. I love horses. Why would someone kill a horse? It's so senseless -
Those are some good stories, but some might read a little slow now. Secret Wars is about 1985, and it's a little silly when looking back... The suit stuff isn't even a big part of the story. Avengers Forever and Captain Britain might be a hard read too. But, I think it's great that you're trying to get your Marvel history! I hope you enjoy

I don't believe this for a second. Regardless of the griping that anyone has, I would bet my house that every last person who has ever posted in a Star Wars movie topic on a Lego site will watch the movies, no matter what.

X-Men First Class was arguably the best of the movies so far. Personally I think it's a lot better than X-2. This is good news. The next movie should be a trip. X-Men have had a time travel component going on for over 30 years. It's weird, but very very rereadable. The story will be different, since it won't be about Cyclops and Phoenix's child. But they will be able to write a story which bridges the old and young. I honestly think it will be the absolute last of McKellon and Stewart in the movie, but it'll be a lot better than X-3, which is embarrassing.

What previous experience have you had with mafia games on Eurobricks ? I played before. Will you be able to dedicate the time to post every game day and send in your action every night phase for the next 6 or so weeks? Unfortunately. But, at New Years, I'll spend a few days at the in-laws, but there is free wi-fi at McDonalds, and I got an iPhone 5. Really? Yup. Cake, steak, or apple? Cake. Cake always wins, doesn't it. -
Happy birthday! I'm still waiting for them to change the name of this place back to EuroRicks, like it should be.

Trouble in the Streets of Gotham: Conclusion

What I learned in my few Bloodbath games: There's almost no point in sending in anything other than a kill. Too many noobs just send in too many kill actions, meaning there is no way to logically 'play'. So just have fun and die, or be the leftover and claim victory. Congrats to the victors! Thanks for the fun, Shadows! I killed you. Just a hunch. -
I'm interested to read that Hulk. Mark Waid is writing, and he's been on a roll with Daredevil this year.

I'm dead? No shit. Why am I not surprised Good times, good times. -
All New X-Men was great. A really interesting first issue. I'll be sure to follow it. Much better than Uncanny Avengers, though I think I'll be following that one too.

I remember a time when a blood bath would have 50 sign ups in 24 hours I want to use an EB emoticon for that, but there is no shakey head honestly reflecting my disappointment. This is your chance for a glorious death! -
Lego Lord of the Rings video game for mac, will it happen?
def replied to mpaisana's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It will eventually be out for Mac. Every Lego game has. But it's a small market and a low priority, and they won't start porting it until the PC version is out. I can't say how many months, but it's not so bad. Just a few months late.- 11 replies

General Discussion and Announcements

Maybe if you died more, you could get a chance to use them I'll take some of the responsibility of bringing it to EB. I think Bloodbrick was the first They actually seem more of a requirement here than on other sites. It's a way of keeping the other players following the game after it's over. Most sites hold mafia games over a 5-10 day period, so it's not so hard to stay involved, but this site has games that run five-six weeks average, so a lot of players lose interest after they die. For that reason, having a place to spout theories is good. EB sometimes has participation problems with living players, much less dead ones. But, the rules hold that they should not speak to the "living," in any way. Furthermore, the scum should never reveal any secrets, and the host shouldn't reaveal anything either, in case there is too much temptation for dead to help their partners. I know it's not clearly stated, but that's a rule of deadboards. I know one or two games here where scum revealed their teammates (I think, maybe it was the host), and that's a no-no. So, I still support the idea and use of deadboards, but support emphasizing that there are rules on how to fairly use them -
The two-scum theory was not implausible, and I was surprised it got knocked so much. More than one game here had ursurper style mechanics, where a second team was searching for the leader of another scum team, in order to take them over or join with them. So, there could have been two teams working at odds early on that got united in the game. It was unlikely that there were two scum teams left near the end of the game, but it could explain conflicting stories. That, plus you never know what randomness hosts might throw in to keep a game "fresh."

That was one of the better looking games I've seen on this site. Good job

I worry that there aren't enough heroes for the villains to pile on their day one kills to waste, so I, the Scoundrel, throw my hat into the ring. -
I know the majority of members here are in Europe, so probably many haven't seen the best American reality TV show of 2012. Ten episodes. They're all great
