From what I can tell, some o' you folks couldn't start a fire with a book of matches and a gallon of gasoline. I don't know what this Dows bloke is all about, but he's led us with a good lynch. And you want to lynch him because the Ronzaroni godfather told you to Since when do we do what the mafia tells us to? You people, what's goin' on in yer little noggins? If anything, the people Quest fingered are the ones working for us.

Two more scummies down, we can be thankful of that. But Quest got shot in broad daylight, didn't one of you clowns see anything? Kovacs, you see anything?

Well, well, well, let me be the first to give a firm congratulations to the Grand Dork! May your next Eurobricks title be more flattering Glad to see you moving up in the ranks here.

So much to nitpick this episode with. In addition to the stuff you wrote: -Why are their kid clones? Weren't they being raised to adulthood? Are they trying to say that that's how clones are developed? Did the Kaminoins raise them from adolescents? Dumb. -Did Jango Fett instill moral values into his kid? He was a goddamn bounty hunter. Like I mentioned in that other 'Boba Vs Bane' thread, when Boba saw his dad die, he cried. Screw that. As a kid, if he cried, his dad would have smacked him. The senior Fett didn't have much characterization, but to assume he was a hired killer with a heart is to assume too much. What kind of lessons did the super badass Jango Fett teach young Boba? "They're innocent, we can't hurt them... unless I'm being paid." Accepting that Aurra Sing and Bossk adopted him, did they do anything other than feed the badness in his heart. Absolute crap characterization. Crap crap crap. -Mace Windu looks like a tool in this episode. The Jedi lack the ability to read body language? At this point, Boba Fett is a clown. As far as his character is concerned, he's been crap since Episode II. This episode just flushes the turd down the toilet. From now on, I will spend more time making fun of Babby Fett. End of this rant. I liked Shoan Kilian though.

One thing about doing these reviews, and why I got Oki to help this year, is that it takes some time to do, but it also takes a lot of the fun out of the show. Rather than just let it play, I have to stop, do screen grabs, look up what each ship is, and then get messages after saying, "That wasn't X, it was Y " (I appreciate it, so there is a more complete review, but people whose only feedback is like that is tiresome; it happens when reviewing sets too.) So, the slower pace has been much better and more enjoyable for me. As for season 3, I plan to take a break, and maybe start up when the season finale comes up. After all, the topic is Rewatching the Clone Wars, not Watching.

Ah, I missed this review at the time you did it (the Academy anniversary happens on my birthday). The review is beautiful, but the set doesn't blow me away. It looks a bit better than the RAS; the coloring is more tasteful, the wings more interesting. I think the minifigs are stunning though. That pilot with his helmet off is great.

Well Mr. Stash, it looks like I owe you an apology. I'm sorry. I realize you're not town, but you're probably not mafia either. With what Sandy said about prof. Dows, I'm interested to hear his version of things.
-
What's that? I was drunk and sleeping, same as usual. Is there something you want to let me know about? I still think you're the most suspicious thing out there. For now, I'll buy your version of things. At worst, one town is out, and we have you to roast the next day. Vote: Sandy/Sandy Quest

Stash is playing too much of a puppet master game. Unless he comes right out and lays it on the table, well...

Specifically the white heart arches, the center of the clock, and the crimson slopes in the towers. The slopes make me think of Harry Potter, but I have none of them, and the arches might be Fabuland or Belleville. They give a lot of character to the piece.
-
Wow. You've got a lot of pieces going on there that I don't recognize. Can you tell us some of the sets you cannibalized to make this?

Glad it's useful! I would love to reorganize this thread so all the reviews are instantly accessible, but it's more work than I want to do right now. As for the show, I agree it is fine for what it is. I've written it a few times here, but I really believe kids shows should be well written. I think a lot of kids shows get hack writers since they say "it's just for kids". But, we all know that Pixar movies are very satisfying for adults, as were the old Disney shorts. I love Ren & Stimpy too. It's not about the animation quality, it's the writers. And there are a lot of lazy writers employed by Lucasfilm. When the original Clone Wars movie came out, there was some leeway given to it since someone at Lucasfilm decided to rush a movie out at the end of the summer to pull in some cash (it didn't) and wanted to hype the show. At this point, I think that outside of the graphics department, the company just has low standards. Luckily, when it comes to Lego, graphics and design are the most important parts.

Whachoo talkin' 'bout? We've got two of them. Sure, they got more of us, but we have the numbers. I got the same question for the hairdresser. So, he's got two definite scummies, let us have 'em.

BrickArms 2010: Duck And Cover!
def replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I placed an order today, only to be rejected since I'm not in America. And the other country options don't include Japan. Do I need to become a distributor to a hold of this stuff -
I've really enjoyed all the HP reviews you've done. I'm up in the air about which are worth buying, but you make it a lot easier to decide. I agree with your conclusion, that this is a set about the figures. I wouldn't mind the brooms either. Still, it's number 3 or 4 on my list.

You think it's funny to kill a mentally challenged youth? Well, I guess I can see your point. @ WalterKovacs, yup, I was wrong. And, I assumed that the baddies would win this one, since all the town are rampantly killing, but it seems to have been a decent tactic. Only by insanely bad playing could they lose now. -

There's nothing to be upset about, but... For some reason, I think you're a band member in this game. No real reason, just my gut -
[Can/Ontario] Lasting Toys Grand Reopening October 30th

Take the bus man, Mississauga isn't Thunder Bay. Geez. I would visit, if you re-opened last year. -
I'd much rather see great writing at the animation level of season one than jacked up animation with mediocre stories and characterization.

Well, I can imagine Somewhere between me pretending like I am a good mafia player here despite never having won a game, designing an annoying character, and just being dickish here and there. I'd love to hear the killers' rationale. Despite this being a bloodbath game, all the town should have investigated on day one (assuming they had the same powers I did). If they just kill the people they want the kill, the mafia may as well just protect each other and let the dumb townies kill each other. Hard to let people get that, being as I was the idiot. -
Gyah! I read your review, but I didn't remember the doctor. Just didn't much of an impression on me. I even made some screen grabs of that episode, and ignored the doctor the first time around! Like this cool clone helmet: They are doing last year's cool bomb squad this year, so there's hope they might do more interesting paint jobs. I have the new episodes on my hard drive, but won't touch them until we gruel through these last handful of episodes. It's my wedding anniversary this weekend, so don't expect me to finish my last one until next week.
