  1. Glad you like the teaser, but wait till it starts to get real excited Here are some of the key points to this game: -Different rules. Not to mafia games in general, but to Eurobricks games. I've been playing games elsewhere, and I'm going to integrate what I like about them with this game. It should feel 'fresh' to Eurobricks veterans. -Mature themes (dealt with humorously). Nobody ends up in an asylum because they had a happy life. -Surprises. Think "1950's B-movie" I won't spoil anything else, that's enough for now though.
  2. Hmmm, I'm happy to jump ahead, but I was looking forward to seeing yours too. If you can't do it, I think I have most stuff ready. We'll give it a week to see how you feel when Eurodina is done.
  3. I thought, since Eurodina is winding down, and the holidays are coming, I would share this (plus I've been dying to share it for weeks). Quarry's next in line with a game, but Dr. Bloodbrick will most likely be launching by the end of January. So, I give you this teaser image to wet your whistle over the holiday season. Eurobricks keeps it going! It should be enough to drive some players crazy
  4. Wow, can I start a Minifigures Series 6 thread? I have no info to share either
  5. Depends on your country, but nobody had to read Animal Farm in my school. But, I read it on my own around university. It's a quick read (aimed at young adults) but an illuminating read about the ways that power corrupts. And the animated movie made from it is pretty good too, if different from the novel
  6. Can you use a web browser with spell-check? Can you type your posts in MS Word before posting here? It's not too much trouble to find the little red lines underneath.
  7. I'll wait outside, no need to crowd us all in.
  8. I really appreciate the hard work all you folks are doing. I just wanted to let you know that I'm here and watching what's going on, but I couldn't do anything any better than you all are
  9. I've read the God Delusion, and the Blind Watchmaker. Both cover some of the territory of TGSOE, but the Blind Watchmaker is the one that really expands on Darwin's book in the clearest terms. I've been going back into fiction for a bit now though, just as a less weighty experience.
  10. Just came in to edit my post, rereading the the day and remembering the double lynch, but I see you were too quick to throw in a mocking comment (no worries, I might have done the same )
  11. It really is up to the discretion of the host. Having a set percentage for each game makes them predictable. I think that a person can go overboard, but I don't think it happened here. So far, about 5? That's about 10%, seems balanced. Still can't figure out how 5 people died though
  12. The other day I finished Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, a character study on Savannah Georgia in the 1980s. I know there was a move made of it, but I haven't seen it, and I hear it isn't so good. The book though, it quite enjoyable. The narrative's trajectory isn't so strong, but the writing is crisp and clear. A friend lent it to me, and I'm glad I read it. I started in on The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I've never read any Mark Twain (it's not on the school reading list in Canada) but he's always been an interesting character. I expected it to be good, and it's better than I expected so far. He's a sophisticated writer.
  13. This MOC gives me low self-esteem You've made something beautiful. The waterfall alone is remarkable.
  14. Probably none of us were the diver, but I would like to know which citizens would fit the wetsuit. Then, I'd like to look at the jewelry and perfume, and note anything that I might like for Christmas.
  15. As some have said, it's because teens often shoplift. When I working at TRU, if a teen boy was spending too much time in the aisle, we'd spy on them from the second floor in the back area, above the overstock, and then catch them if they stole. And, often, they stole, and then they cried after getting caught. You can call it discrimination, but it is fair business practices. As for the alarm going off, it depends on the store, but small, expensive items had the magnetic strips. In my store, we only put it on video games. Basically, it was a fake UPC put onto the package. It was demagnetized when run over the demagnetizer perpendicular to the scanner at the checkout. But, we never put it on Lego, since the boxes were difficult to steal.
  16. I think it best for the Jefferson family to stick together, so I'll go to the department store too.
  17. I think the department store would be a good place to visit next. I wonder if the red circles on the map were targets; my husband has a history in politics, so that would be a reason.
  18. I was aware you were a widower when we met, but I was unaware of the circumstances. I thought it was of natural conditions, not falling off a building. Regardless, there's something about my hubby that gives me joy, so you have nothing to worry about. I'm nothing if not faithful.
  19. Police chief, what do you know of her death?
  20. My husband's first wife was murdered! Oh boys, please keep an eye on me, I'd hate to suffer a similar fate.
  21. Since this is an international site, I don't find a thread about new stuff at TRU helpful. There are no collectible minifigs at my TRU.
  22. By poles, I assume you mean North and South. With that, no, I can't see how they relate to the topic either (Honestly, I don't know any other poles)
  23. I love the original build of this, but all the same, I consolidated it for pieces this year. I'm not opposed to rebuilding it, but I liked it more as pieces than as a set.
  24. I don't think there is an easy way. The toothbrush is a little slow, but Lego being the way it is, it's really hard to get between studs. The toothbrush has been my only effective way.
  25. I use an old toothbrush.
