  1. I'm a big fan of the Creator houses, and I really appreciate this review. It seems a bit lacking, but I may buy it all the same. The colors really do it for me. The build isn't so complicated looking. But, overall, this is interesting looking.

    Canadian Eh?

This thread makes me feel so nostalgic. I'd love to bump into some of you folk. Last year, I visited the Dufferin store (where I used to work, and I didn't recognize a single employee), and felt like a real AFOL. I bought a pile of little Space Police and Atlantis sets. I was surprised that the Yonge St. store was closed. My only big purchase was at the Whitby store (where I also worked, as well as the Don Mills store for a year or two). It'd be interesting to have a gathering of the Golden Horseshoe group. If you guys don't take it upon yourselves, I'll try to round you up when I visit in 2012 or so.
  3. Happy birthday Jim!

Ahhh! My eyes... pictures...so...big... computer....can't...process them...Will ignore...user... until... he... reads posting rules
  5. I finished reading Riddley Walker, a fantastic little piece of post-apocalyptic literature. It's a challenging read, it's set some 2,000 years after a nuclear disaster, and people live in somewhat Medieval ways. The whole book is written in the language of the time, so it's like English, but it isn't. As a result, I had to consult this site to catch some of the double or triple meanings in it. I enjoyed it on its own, but I wanted to understand it a bit better without reading it a second time. http://www.ocelotfactory.com/hoban/riddley.html Much harder to read than most sci-fi, and without much science at all. It's about the world we will live in if we fail at what we're doing now. A good, solid read.
  6. That guys prices are ridiculous. At 50% off, they're still expensive. Maybe two years ago when the Aussie dollars was in the toilet, it would have been worth it, but... This thread looks like spam.
  7. I don't think it's a complaint about the game, it's about the players not playing. Anyway, as I wrote in my last post, I looked over days 7-9, and made a list of who participated and who didn't. Those who posted less than five times in nearly three weeks (!) will be at the bottom of my players list. It's possible there just aren't 42 people who actually want to take part in a game here.
  8. I think the 42 players was possible to do, but the starting rules would have to be modified. For example, the mafia bosses starting alone and having to recruit the first few days meant few deaths. So, maybe a recruiter and killer is needed from the start. And investigators were very unlikely to find anything (42 to investigate), making voting difficult. So, voting could have been 'most votes' instead of majority votes. Those things made the first few days quite slow. If there had been three deaths a game from day one, the game would be a lot closer to winding down now. Instead, I'm worried that it's going to stall now, as Stash's list runs out of names. The last few days had been action packed though, despite some players barely playing. I'm paying attention to the lack of participation of players, and keeping notes so they don't become dead weight when my game comes around. Logging in once a week and saying "Oh no!" doesn't make for a fun game.
  9. Maybe Luxor V would take credit for that
  10. That's right, we can bake pie
  11. I am pin-pon!, the sound of a correct answer. Maybe Hinck or Shadows will take credit for that.
  12. Here you are, and let me get a cloth to wipe the sweat off your brow. Would you like me to fill your pipe?
  13. Is anybody hungry for apple pie? I just baked two to reward all the hard-working men of this town with
  14. Why would I let my child play with my Lego?
  15. Doleres Jefferson, doing her best on the homefront to protect our way of life.
  16. +1 to Big Cam. Thanks so much!
  17. If you look deep into that page, you'll see he's a fairly obsessive collector. Check his Photobucket page http://s884.photobucket.com/albums/ac45/harpelphoto/HUGE%20LEGO%20LOT/ Binders of instruction booklets going back 30 years. It must be killing him to sell it.
  18. I don't know what to make of a sale like this. Possibly it's a good value for the dollar, but, possibly, $20,000 is too much to drop on Lego purchases at one time. There are all kinds of people in the world though. http://cgi.ebay.com/270661733387 Bid now though, times running out.
  19. If you input your sets into Brickset, you'll get an accurate number of pieces and minifigs. I have 46059 at the moment, plus the miscellaneous sets I got as a kid. But, I don't get how that makes this a Star Wars topic.
  20. That's a very nice feature all the same. It's really lovely to see my reviews collected like that, even if the first set that comes up with Exo-Force Since you did the Space Index already, could you throw this review in there? I think I posted it after the last update, so it would have been missed. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=46714 Thanks again for all the hard work.
  21. By the way, no hard feelings to those who got the rough and tumble abuse from the biker leader. Like the stuttering Erik King, I got deep into my role.
  22. Unbelievable. I go to bed, wake up, and the thread was locked. Oh well.
  23. No apology for your mistake. Got it. The mayor has no humility. Even though I never defended him once, and was willing to vote for him the next day. You voted for King, so I guess that is your successful scum attempt to convict an innocent. Seriously, your opinions against me have so little, little substance. What a pain in the @$$. In my case, I need to defend myself against this nonsense. Today's been a real pain.
  24. What you're supposed to say is, "My error, I'm sorry." Plus, I still haven't seen an apology for the BS you stated about me defending Dows. Show me where I have, or recant what you said.
  25. Really? You quoted me and said you, but you were referring to Alice. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48502&st=30&p=854734entry854734 I guess you're just dumb
