  1. Well, I think that second shadowy character was sneaking about my place. Last night, I was in bed "reading a magazine," if you catch my drift, and right in the middle of it, something conked me on the noggin. When I came to, there was a dummy in my bed what been cut in half. Unbelievable. Did one of you scumbags try to kill me? Looks like your plot failed. And to whoever swapped me out, thanks. Get in touch and we can work together. Looking at how useless these scumbags are, why were we so worried before?
  2. Episode 17: Bounty Hunters To Felucia! The core stars of the show, Obi Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka fly their T-6 shuttle to Felucia to investigate a missing medical station. Quickly they're ambushed by vulture droids, and crash land on the surface. Being the stars of the show Jedi, they survive without a scratch, and make their way to farmstead. There, they discover a village of little green farmers, and bounty hunters they've hired as protection from pirates. This is all pretty early in the episode, and leaves room for action. The bounty hunters and Jedi fall into an uneasy alliance when the pirates are revealed to be season one's Weequay pirates. This runs into an interesting meeting. The farmers, the Jedi, the pirates, and the bounty hunters, all with different motives and wishes. Nothing is solved, but the Jedi resolve to train the farmers to defend themselves. Through a series of montages (MONTAGE!), Anakin trains the farmers how to twirl rakes, while Obi Wan and Ahsoka have character moments with the bounty hunters. This leads into pirate Hondo's attack on the village. Overall, this was a very well done episode. The episode was dedicated to Akira Kurasawa, and I suppose it was an homage to Seven Samurai, the seven defending a village. The action was great, in particular, the bounty hunter Embo is probably my favorite character to appear in the series so far. He, in particular, was Japanese influenced, in his dress and action, but he also had some moves that he can call his own, like the action using his hat (You'll have to watch to understand). The Weequay pirates were done justice after their disappointing appearances last year. Furthermore, the character beats rang true, like Obi Wan's interactions with Sugi, the bounty hunter leader. It's hard to create fleshed out characters in a single episode, but they manage to pull it off. The one little stupidity for me was having Anakin sword fight with Hondo. There should be no fight. Anakin has to be a much better swordsman. But this is a niggling, little thing. It is quickly forgotten when Hondo retreats, proclaiming, "This effort is no longer profitable!" Going in, I had trepidations, but I was fully sold by the half-way point. Rating: 10/10 I really didn't want to give another 10, but this is what this show should always be. I'll have to think about which episode is better, this or the opener. This episode was loaded with cool stuff. To begin with, we see this vulture droid launcher, that holds 6 droids. Automated Vulture droid deployment station The episode returns us to Felucia, which hasn't been represented by TLG yet, so we'll have to settle for an amazing MOC by a fellow Eurobricker. legorevolution's award-winning MOC A random Felucia monster. Jungle Rancor The aliens here are pretty generic. Nothing special in their design or characterization. Akira The bounty hunter leader. At first, I thought she was another stock character, but she had personality. She reminded me of Han Solo somewhat, in that selfish but not evil way. I like gray-area characters like this. She will appear in set 7930 next year. Sugi Her crew included this fierce robot with a secret. Seripas This lady sharpshooter, who was not fully developed in the episode. Rumi Paramita And my hero of the episode, Embo. He's awesome, and we'll also have him in set 7930 next year. Embo Finally, we have the bounty hunter ship, which will be one of the main sets in the early 2011 line. Awesome. Halo LEGO ships appearing: T-6 shuttle, vulture droid, bounty hunter assault gunship, pirate tank LEGO wishlist: Vulture droid deployment station, Seripas, Felucia set Coming up: the Zillo Beast
  3. I finished reading Black Hole by Charles Burns this week. I'd had the book for years, but didn't finish it the first time I tried to read it since I'd read half of it as single issues. The book collects and reorganizes about 12 issues of the original series. It's intense. It follows four loosely connected high school kids in suburbia in the seventies. There's an STD going around called the bug, which turns kids into freaks. If you're lucky, you'll just be a little freaky, like an extra mouth in your neck, but some kids faces look like Halloween masks. So, the story covers high school anxiety, the need to be liked, and how some people run away by drinking and sex, with this weird horror angle over top. And the art is phenomenal. Every page is as detailed as this image, all 350 pages: How does her tail make you feel?
  4. Stupid Ruiner, by Hinckley, because I ruined his stupid stuff. Hence, I'm the guy who ruins stupid.
  5. I started a topic like this (link) and then I bought it and reviewed 6209 (link). My opinion: if it were today, I'd rather have the new one. At half the price, I'd definitely take the new one. The big advantage of the old one is the Dengar figure, but the new one has Bossk, and a far superior carbonite Han Solo. No question. I love my 6209, but the new one is cheaper and better.
  6. Me suppose 1.4732 be me IQ. Definium be sad
  7. He's not senile, move along now-Given by Erdiebirdie, because he found out my secret. 1.4732-Me don't know why.
  8. Unfortunately, it was that in my college days, but I've been putting on weight in my old age.
  9. So far all these HP sets are looking nice. I think you were pretty harsh on the mini-figs though. The detail on the student's torso is superb; the flowing movement of the collars, the thin stripes on the tie. Even the waste line of the sweater has a great movement to it. The faces give me no trouble, but I'm haven't seen the last few movies to be so demanding about them.
  10. I am pleased that you derive humor from our existence, but I take great opposition to the idea that I don't exist.
  11. In my opinion, cupcake, not rapidly enough
  12. Well, you could show a little honor before you die, and out your mafia conspirators to us. We would just snuff you instead of torture you
  13. Vote: Carrie Price / CallMePie CallYouLynched
  14. Told you folks, don't trust the pigs. If some action don't start coming about soon, I might have to start leading something myself.
  15. Uhh, I had an appointment with him to tune up my bike tomorrow, now how am I going to get my hog running smoothly

  17. I thought you said this $#!% was fixed
  18. Nice job! It very much is the topic though. As much as episodes are being reviewed, the purpose of the thread is to see what LEGO is doing with the Clone Wars material. Though the pictures aren't legally available, it'll be interesting to compare the T-6 shuttle and Bounty Hunter gunship to their CW appearances when they come up. The T-6 appeared in episode three or so, but the gunship is coming up soon, I think.
  19. Nothing's happening today. Unvote: Stash I need a beer.
  20. Zephyr, is it safe to say that Mr. Bricks will suffer death from the hand of God, since thatguywithbricks is banned from the site?
  21. I think it's a dangerous strategy for n00bie scum, but I get the feeling old Stash has got a little experience, if you catch my drift. I'm really not sure he's scum, but he's the only one that smells funny to me.
  22. With all due respect to the departed Mr. Bricks, he just spoke a lot of nonsense, so if he got something right, it was by accident. Again, how many more hours left in the day?
  23. I totally disagree. In plain sight is a good way to hide. If I were investigating, I'd investigate the chef teacher, or the police. You don't believe Stash is guilty because he was cheeky and risky. Obviously, if it were a strategy, it worked on you and you assume he's innocent.
  24. I think it's important to let the hairdresser have his say. Can anybody remind me how many hours are left in the day? I may take a nap soon, and if possible, I'll retract my vote and give it another look-see after I get some shut-eye.
