Brickelodeon For schedule's sake, things will have to start soon. Maybe it'll be hard to get 20, so I'll have to do some balance computations. This is a very fun style of game! It is not regular mafia. There is a lot more for everybody to do, if you're on the fence, sign up.
  2. Once we hit 20, we can take this off the ground. Hopefully by tomorrow.
  3. Who can be expected to do that? Nobody mainlines EB.
  4. Need some enthusiasm and sign ups, if we want this to happen. Here's something to make it more tempting, to the virtuosos of mafia out there: Pelly will be coming back. That's right, Pelly Putnam. It's in bad taste to toot your own horn, but to my mind, Pelly is the most popular NPC to ever appear in a Eurobricks mafia. Was it his good looks? His charming wit? Hard to say, but yes, Pelly is coming back.
  5. Bloodbrick II mechanics, not theme. Bloodbrick is on a long hiatus.
  6. I was going to post a hoop, but it would make this thread adults only. You just have to say you want to sign up
  7. Mafia game starting soon. Based on the rotating powers mafia I ran before, Bloodbrick II. Check the mafia listings to get a rundown. Everyone is vanilla, and everyone has powers. It's fun, and requires tweaked strategies. The single problem from that game (a host misstep) has been ironed out. It'll run ASAP, and aim to be done before May rolls so Bob doesn't have to wait. What's the theme? Mafia. Always mafia. The theme is cilantro. The game is the main course. More details (or 'deets' as challenged people say) in the next few days. If you want to sign up: Say you want to sign up in this thread. And jump through a hoop. This is not Speedy. This is def. It will be fun.
  8. I hereby bequeath the role of towniest of towns onto you, young Zepher. Wear it proud, and may Mencot base his entire game on you from day one till the conclusion. If you do not proclaim yourself the towniest of town on day one, I will be pretty let down.
  9. Looks like the numbers are there, so I'm not needed. Have a great game, it's always great to see a new host I'll enjoy this one from the sidelines. Good luck to everyone!
  10. Recently, sign ups have been a lot slower hitting 20. You might want to consider leaving it a week if you don't make your numbers. I have doubts that you'll get to see that happen again Even in that last sign up round, I predicted him getting underfoot. My expectations led me to those results
  11. Sounds like someone's expecting a lot of action this Valentine's Day... More than I am at least. Five days?
  12. Colour me in... tentatively. After that last game, I'm a little spent. Spending myself and winning makes me want to play more, but spending myself and losing makes me want to sit in front of a fire wrapped in a fleece blankie. Put me down as number 23. If you get 24, I'm happy to sit one out. 1) I've played enough games that I stopped updating my EB page with results. 2) Yeah. 3) Depends if people start demanding to explain why I'm alive on day three, or that I haven't caught scum day one, or that they never trust me cuz I'm a good liar (though I'm not and never have been), etc. etc. all the things that are said to me and nobody else... But, yeah, it's supposed to be play.
  13. Good Then I was only half-stupid in that situation! I think the thing that called you out for me was your #2 situation. I really don't trust it these days after a game or two being duped by it (much like I get duped by the 'poor wittle me' noobie game Adventurer did). In the bandwagon on me, Adventurer coming in seemed super scummy, while Legospy seemed sheepy. I sent Legospy a PM to say as much, but not Adventurer, as she was at the top of my personal list. In the same way, Bob voting for me after Mencot seemed way scummier than Mencot, though admittedly, it's meta-gaming, I have no expectation of town game from Mencot. People throwing accusations out seem townie to me, if they have reasons. Those people supporting them rub me the wrong way. Especially those supporting me, these days. A lot of past hosts don't care what I do, but some non-hosts hover under the past hosts because of a rep, whether deserved or not, and I'm uptight about fast support (Kovacs supported me day one, and I was very nervous about him). You voted for Calanon, as Pies pointed out, which made me pay a little more attention to you, but that day, you were just aggressively following people (that I remember, it seems like a full year ago). It made me just decide you were the best choice. And that night action claim hammered it, you claimed way too early. I'd love to be perfect all the time, but it's great that I make big mistakes sometimes, to take the focus off of me next time. Next game, harass Pies for not solving the game by day three!
  14. Thinking back, this one kills me. This was definitely a blind spot for me. I've seen scum claim to be vigs before, but mainly because they think they've been tracked... and so they claim vig to hope to stay afloat a day. That would include admitting who they targeted though, because of the tracking worry. Was that all a bussing thing, or was admitting he had a role in thread a mistake in the first place?
  15. Bob, I would be happy to work with you if I thought you were town. As I said, if you weren't so convinced I was scum, we could quite easily had a lynch on Adventurer instead of you. But you spent the whole day making it about me, to the point that the town block had to reevaluate my place in it. And you were the best choice to lynch because of it. It doesn't make you a bad person or anything. If you had been alive, there is a very good chance you would have been investigated that night.
  16. I still would say in 99% of games, what we did would have worked. There's nothing to kick yourself over. About what you were saying about Bob having different information to work with... It doesn't really matter. His theories were so elaborate and detailed, and so very wrong, we just weren't going to give any of it credence. I think it's fine for you on the deadboard to know the vig was dead and whatever else you knew and say, "Something is wrong!" But in game, we had little reason to give a second of it notice. If he had been a lot less passionate about it, maybe it would have been more worth considering. I certainly wasn't strongly lynching PirateDave, he seemed a lot more like a townie than Bob.
  17. You helped scum lots. Take credit where it's due. Do you think the living protector and investigator took note of your proclamation that they were dead? You were so far off, it made the few correct points you had look bad. You were the stopped clock that was right twice a day. I'm not picking on you, you were over the top and wrong. There was little to do but just ignore everything you wrote.
  18. I distinctly didn't blame you, Bobby. I blamed a disasterous night one. You made things worse, but it's not your fault. Quote where I said it was your fault, and I'll humbly apologize. Much like your final day in the game, you're not getting much right! It's quaint that you think I lost the game when I was working with four townies who got duped (Goliath, MT, Adam, and Badboy). I suppose it was my fault town lost, as you say, but I would rather give the credit to the scum for working with what they were given.
  19. Maybe Badboy or Adam would have turned things around, but I was not willing to accept that there was three scum left. I wouldn't have turned it around in time, and I doubt Mencot would have either. It was a fair scum win.
  20. I didn't think you were confident because you were scum. I thought you'd simply evolved there.
  21. You didn't do anything, but you did it in a way that seemed like you knew it. I really spelled it out already: Bob is (sorry) not a great player. Mencot is (sorry) not a great player. To put it politely. You are a middling, confused player. But that's not how you played this. Legospy really seemed to be over his head. You just seemed to confidently flip flop wherever. If you had a lot less confidence, and were more sheepish, you would have been believable. In future games, you'll have to be more on top of things, because after this, for me at least, if you play a lazy game, that will mean you're scum. No excuses. Man, I was pissed Pies didn't vig kill you! But as I thought I was on the outs of the town block, I couldn't express it (thanks, Bob!) ========= That said, I told Bob, when town wins, it will be in spite of him. Truth was, town lost, and it wasn't thanks to him, but he sure set fire to a pile of tinder. Thanks Bob!
  22. That's the reason I don't care for zany games. If you don't know the rules of the game you're playing, how can you be expected to play well? I take into account standard rules, and I did note there was something irregular going on, but to purge the people you had solid evidence to trust? Then you're just starting from square one, not once, but basically everyday. And Adam's request WAS taken into account, it was why I had to be investigated a second time. I had a role, but who is to say if it was an unrecruitable one? Only the host knew. It put town at a disadvantage knowing what Adam was told. Anyway, I'll say it again: There is no chance I would change my play style (as town) since it works more often than it fails, whether I survive or not. There is no way to play a game of mafia making account for the scum having a redirection on the vig against himself that will be misread by the watcher on night one. I give credit to the scum for winning, but I won't be changing my play style over it. And yeah, Adventurer, the "poor wittle me," gambit is finished as of this game
