And you would be wrong. The only thing worse than a no-lynch is town lynching a power role when it might have known better. Explain this well, or you will be my first lynch choice tomorrow, for real reasons rather than random ones: Why is lynching the town watcher on day one better than a no-lynch? This is a real question. You've proposed the opposite, and there is no convincing argument that I can conceive of. Worst case scenario is that he's lying, and we lynch him day two. More likely is that scum focus some night actions on Al rather than someone else. And town has a free night to operate whatever they will. Right now, you are taking Brian's position: Let's lynch the possible town watcher! Greg cross-posted with me, let me give a quick-reply. The degree of your wafflee-ness, you're pretty much scum. Yup.... Not Brian, more the possible watcher, Al.... Yeah, you're scum, and Brian is a solid choice based on your soft defense.

It is going to disappoint you, but I haven't found all the scum yet. As for going through the motions, that is all day one is for me. You made a comment about Gregory's suspicious behaviour, and frankly, there was none. That earned a vote. Claiming a role that often appears made it better not to vote for you. Brian seconded it, and supported his lynch, though he didn't vote for him. And he's happy to lynch the claimed watcher, just cuz. I would rather no lynch, than to lynch the watcher day one. Actually, the only time I ever snagged scum on day one was in an identical situation, where the lynchee claimed doctor, and a scumbum argued that they had to be lynched anyway. It's true, I haven't done much else (though substantially more than you, I must add). In fact, I still haven't read page one. I get tired reading about play-cooking. I didn't read anything much until after voting opened. I'm fine with my vote on Brian, and I'm fine with a no-lynch rather than possibly lynching the watcher.

You barely stuck your head out at all. That's half the reason you got put up Yeah, fine. I'll buy that. He better have some results to go with it. Unvote: Al Vote: Brian Barnes (Shadows)

Sorry, that was unclear. I voted for him randomly because he was at the top of the page. What was your reason?

There was no sense of scuminess, I made that up to start people voting.

This sort of nonsense has to stop. There will be nothing you can be sure of on day one. And everyone 'waiting' is being over-cautious. It's much better to have everyone, town and scum, put themselves out there early, so we have stuff to consider. I don't know if Christopher is town or scum, but there are too many people like him who are waiting to vote, 8 out of 18 haven't voted. All of you folk need to stop pussyfooting and take away the herd for scum to hide in. Like the rest of you, I'm troubled by Al's support of my, frankly, non-vote. Why vote for Gregory? She was at the top of the page 3. It was reason enough to start with. Unvote: Gregory Vote: Al Cooper (TinyPiesRUs)

Platinum scum move. You can vote and revote, no reason to hold off except fear of drawing attention. Massive ping. Yes, two is an escalation. Two. Mild ping. You want to have 'scummy vibes' explained? Sorry, a vibes a vibe. Sometimes, I play from the gut. Any valid reason you aren't total scum?

No, it is the Towniest of Towns, and it is a copyrighted phrase. Unless you are planning to toss a little scratch Shelly's way, you shouldn't even be using it, much less misusing it And Gregory must be taking a siesta.

I'll get it started: Vote: Gregory McHenry (Lady K) Based on just a general scuminess. Irene is choice two.

To be honest, I'm not so interested in mocking or humour. Scum to catch, towniest to be. No time for would be comedy.

I don't recognise this this terminology. It's unacceptable.

Well, I'm not surprised the town is already gone higglety pigglety. It seems to happen a lot around here. At the very least, I can confirm for you that I'm town, as townie as it gets, and you can trust that because I am known as a truth teller. As for the rest of you, I'm voting for one of you. I will not be voting for myself.

Nope. A few years back, there were restrictions, but it's totally open now. I have years of pics hosted there.

1) Have you played mafia before and/or have you graduated from a mafia school? No 2) Will you be available for the duration of the game? Probably. 3) Let's say in a totally hypothetical situation that's not going to be used when assigning you a character of course that you wanted to open a store. What would that store be and why? The jerk store, and they're running out of Bob! 4) Defiantly or definitely? Definitely. I'm an English teacher, and take the meanings of words quite seriously. 5) Please write a sixty page dissertation on the theory of mafia games. "a sixty page dissertation on the theory of mafia games" 6) That last one is a joke, please don't do that. Ha! You must also promise to not make fun of the horrible banner and the sub-par photography that's become a staple in my games. HA!

Is there a quota of acceptable pink and lime green that boys can use? This might just be the obvious choice for inane post of the month. Any posts here that claim acceptable colours for male (or female) fans need to be taunted. Lego fans need to be above the stupidity that overwhelms so much of the Internet and Western society. Don't we like LEGO since it's not GI Joe or Barbie? We can do better. Let's do better.

Pelly's Paradise: Conclusion: An End to Effort
def replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks Funny enough, there was one late day. Know why? Zepher didn't send in his night kill. Normally I'd say a player forgetting to send one in just loses it, but as the last scum, it would have really made the game worse to not have a player killed. If not for that, this would have been a perfectly scheduled game! He ruined it! The key to a good hosting job for me is a simple twist that everyone understands up front. When you don't know what the game is, too many people get left in the dark, and the game becomes a lottery of sorts. -
Pelly's Paradise: Conclusion: An End to Effort

Compared to what I was doing a few years back... At that time, the MOC was made a month in advance, and tweaked slowly to make it better. And every mini-fig was gently crafted to give a strong sense of character (Stanley Spuccemin in Bloodbrick I & 2! Aged 25 years!). This game, I pulled out the beige bricks two hours before taking pics. The actual hosting wasn't lazy, just the prep. -

I knew you knew from the confirmation, but I was hoping someone was anal retentive to correct me. I suppose it fit the game in a really lackadaisical way. Lazy MOC, lazy hosting, lazy Johnny Depp -

The scum shared that with me, and as I told them, the host shouldn't follow the scum board. It gives temptation to adjust the game in ways. Any future hosts out there: don't make the scum's board for them. Let them do it themselves -

The SK should always play as hard town. They aren't scum after all...
