Party Lines Mafia - Day Seven: Recall Election
def replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
She still hasn't explained her claim to have a night action. All the regular ones are accounted for, she's on the block, and won't explain it. Not good. -

I was investigated as 'not Octan' twice. Not something I can easily fib about. -

Honestly, even if we were working together, we would hardly be working together. When I say, 'put a distance between the two,' I'm not talking the stuff Molly puts out. Bobby sent me a PM saying that he suspected Archie, Tiny, and Addie. He made a strong push for Tiny and Archie, and then nothing much for Addie, and I took it as putting distance between him in you. He hard-accused two of the town-block, and so-accused his partner. It made me much more suspicious of you. I'm undecided, but, yeah, Bobby's PM made me much more confident that you were scum (reason #17 that Bobby's day seven activity made everything much worse for town). The thing with me and Molly? I'm flattered that you think I'm so calm and cool that I could fake my real, real irritation with Molly. Sadly, truth is, she has been frustrating me pretty much from the start. Day two, people started accusing her, and I let everyone know that I made her silent for 24 hours with my PR role. So she accuses me of being scum. I send her a PM to say, I blabbed town info to keep from derailing the discussion on her for no reason and that I won't do that again in the future with her behaviour. And she tells me not to give her sarcasm or something. Something about sarcasm. And that wasn't sarcasm. In the future, I honestly won't budge a muscle to help her case, since her scumdar is so utterly non-existent (or she's just scum, and has zero game, since you should play up to a townie doing you a favour). End result, I have doubts she understands what sarcasm actually is. I'd love to be a great liar and actor to fake this sort of stupid situation, but I'm not. It would get me an Oscar if I could. Molly just genuinely pulls this sort of annoyance out of me, and doesn't seem to be interested in playing the way other humans do. -

Well, we outnumber you, and the game isn't over, so we can't be scum. I know we're stupid, but it's according to you, so I guess we're not stupid? There's not much to come at you with. It's a matter of whether you can make a reason not to make yourself the lynch today. I was somewhat cleared by the town block for a second time, and the fact that scum failed to kill last night says to me that they weren't infiltrated. You've been a clown all game, and obnoxious enough that I've made you a punchline to many, many jokes, but that time is over. If you have something to offer the town at all, I suggest you offer it publicly. You suggested a few nights back that the watcher was lying because you used a night action on me (in thread and then more so in PM). Thing was, the watcher watched Hatley that night, and I was protected. Of course I wasn't going to spill anything to you. So I think you should just come out and say what you wanted from me today. The cards are on the table. The town block already is proposing you as the lynch, Addie, an outsider, proposes you as the lynch, and yeah, I'm perfectly happy with you as the lynch. You're going to be the lynch without a lot of townie action on your part. So I think you should explain yourself. You've been a hinderance to town since day one, today is your chance to be useful in some way. Please, the stage is yours. And please check your phone's spell-check before you perform -

What does anyone make of Molly's behaviour today? She seems to have lost the plot. And can't spell the word stupid, even though computers come with auto-spell check in the 21st century, which is, to say the least, ironic. -

That's good to hear! And I will just say, there's no proof I'm not the godfather, but if I was, the town block would be in a lot worse shape by now. The scum took out Hatley, the blocker, and that would be the last person I would target in the group. The blocker does the least damage to scum. I did find it interesting that Molly didn't explode in here with her regular gusto today to point a finger at me upon Bobby's death. I would call it irregular behaviour, but I don't know what exactly you would call "normal" with regards to her. -

They have to consult, since with the Bob lynch bugger up, they are going to worry about me. I recommended they plan night actions without me, since I don't need to know, and it will help assure them that I won't know too much even if recruited... Good idea, but the scum kill failed, so they have to ask if it would have gone through if I had been in on the plans (though if I were scum, the protector would be dead, and they aren't, so that's a town point for me). I know I say I have a PR, but I'm just assuming that, I really don't know, they don't know, only the mysterious Tammo knows. Of course there could be no recruiting, or just one recruitment, and Stanley just sowed the seeds of paranoia into the town with his message. Who knows. All I can say, while I will participate today, you will not see a repeat of yesterday's shenanigans. -

One thing to keep in mind is that I can't just have people vig killed. I'm not their boss. I can offer suggestions, but we work together, not they work for me. There really is no reason to think they have no opinion about how to use their roles. If I were the vig, you can bet Molly wouldn't be here now. I am quite happy to vote out Molly today, but I have pledged my vote to the town block. However they choose to vote, I will follow, for the sake of doing the work of the town. -

I wasn't 100% sure he was scum, but I thought so. I know I can be a self-righteous dick sometimes, and some of that is just to tweak the scum, but some of that is because I can be a dick  I figured on three results coming out this morning: 1) Bobby was Octan, and I'd be vindicated. 2) there would be two kills, confirming the vig's existance, and I'd be vindicated. 3) The vig would kill a scum, since chances are good, and I'd be vindicated. I couldn't imagine not one of those happening. So, to Molly, Lloyd, and Addie: You can rail against me as you see need to, but it's not up to you. The four of us who voted for Bobby have been working together since day three to catch the scum we have caught. All of us contributed, so I trust them. If they trust me, then one of you three is going (and I'm leaning toward Addie or Molly). If they are all town, then the town will win, we have the numbers (four of us, three of you, even with a night kill, we can't lose). If one of them was recruited, well, town will probably lose, since I it will be very hard to choose one of my three that have switched. -

Arrgh! I'm gonna kill Bob. Oh well, either someone in my town block was infiltrated and I was duped, or scum just played him up a lot in PM to get him going like that yesterday. The lynch today will be the town blocks decision, not mine. -

Looking at the clock, you have about half an hour left to keep up your thing. Face it, you wanted the lynch first, you played up the slow kid, Molly, and decided to make a break for it, thinking it would explode on Molly instead of you. But it didn't, so you actually had to start playing. You were making it up as you went along, gambling on the number of town roles left, but you had no clue, which is why you slipped up in your PM to Tiny. It made for an exciting day, and it gave a chance for us to see how the remaining players were thinking both the townies, and the scum. But at the end of the day, the result wasn't in question. You lied. You fibbed. You deceived. And worst of all, you trotted out backwards strategy points as reasons to vote me. You know what that leads to: You better believe it. -

What I mean is, a number of players have done this whole "I just don't know what to do!" thing with me since I've hosted mafia schools, and sometimes it's true, sometimes it's scum playing the noob. You've done it, that's your one time you get to do it. Next time you come in day three and say you don't know what to do, there won't be sympathy. I totally haven't been merciless up to now. You're still here, aren't you? Anyway, the town wins, I have the deciding vote as the speaker... and lucky for the town that I do! Which is exactly why I stepped up on day one, in case of this very situation. Sorry if I was too harsh today, but Bobby really really wants this lynch. I've ruined his game so many times, he knows the scum are going to lose, and he would just be so happy to take me down with him. Nope, not today Bobby, you will not get the boost you so clearly want I'm saying this going back to day three: You made it personal Bobby, that's why lynching you as scum is twice as delightful as it normally would be. Tonight's the night to kill me, scum. I'm not going to be protected, I'm not going to be watched. When I'm scum-killed tomorrow, everyone be sure to elect a speaker who voted for Bobby -

Lloyd, you just got suckered. Sorry. Bob's accusations have had nothing to them, and every time one gets answered, he either moves on, or ignores it, he's just been saying it way more often. His example of the Ragnorok game (which was actually Tommo's mafia game, I think, don't remember), yeah, I was caught in a lie, so I bussed myself. Stanley's day three lynch? I caught him in the lie! Not, he was caught so he got bussed, but I caught the lie. He made a vig claim, I asked him to put it out who he "vig killed" and then I caught him in the lie. Totally different situations. Anyway, I'm right, Bobby's wrong, I'm not going to be lynched, he probably will, and we will all laugh about it tomorrow. Yeah, sure, you don't believe in it. It is easier to paraphrase it to your advantage. So, your PM, titled "Unimportant townie" Ah, poor wittle you. Nobody contacted you and then, when you died in a game, nobody scoured your posts! So I was nice to you, assumed you were just a vanilla townie. But, yeah, you got away with it for a while in this game, next time, I will be merciless. -

Yes, the whole game you were suspicious. So, I guess you think it's likely that I bussed two scum players to stay in front. Got it. Your PM thing, where you play the "I just don't know what to do?" never truly works. The first time, it gets you a stay of execution, the second time, it gets you the vig kill. Bobby tried it once. Once. But I can see him giving you that as a suggestion, since you can almost get away with it once. Feel free to post he PMs I sent that gave you your gut feeling. I'm curious about it myself. That was @ Addie Bob is just flailing, No, you're probably town. Stupid, remarkably stupid, but town. Bobby and Addie seem to be the remaining ones. -

Weren't you listening? Your scum buddy just said not to trust your gut! You've outed yourself as scum. Whoops! No worries, you can smack yourself in the forehead in the post-game. -

It's time to vote. You've heard the 'evidence'. I've seen Lenny, Tiny, and Addie following along, but they are conspicuously quiet. -

You have no valid point. You made me having lynched two scum the key of your argument... Until it was pointed out how stupid that was, then you went on to other 'facts' like your math for facts you don't know, and the vig should kill every night whether we have good info or not. You have... no...point. What else is there to do but laugh? You made a gamble today that you could get me lynched based on the fact-free tunnel vision Molly has had on me on day one. You thought you could swing it. It's a fair play. Let's accept your hypothesis that Archie and I are scum. Realistically, the last two scum, since three would be over-powered to town. It's six-two town-scum. I reveal my scumminess today to get you out, and kill a townie tonight. That's town outnumbering us four to two, I'm dead tomorrow, Archie the next day. Game over. Let's hypothesise you are scum. Scum don't know who's in the town block. Maybe town has two PRs plus me. Molly is either scum or just whacked out. She wants a lynch of me desperately (since day one). You think you can leverage this into a lynch on me, so you go for it, thinking I'll go after her first, based on my vote. I turn it around on you. You know I have some votes, so you pull out your B-game (since you have no A-game) to rally town into going for me. In fact, even though the scum are guaranteed to lose even if you are lynched, you bend over backwards to defend yourself and go after me. You said yourself in PM and in thread, you're just a vanilla willing to die for the town if need be. But when the lynch comes to you, you play more in one day than in the whole of the days prior. Why not just wave a white flag, declare you're a townie and demand my lynching tomorrow, since the town will have the numbers and two 'confirmed by Bob's evidence' scumbags, knowing that town will decisively win? Why not? Well, because you're scum, and you're desperate. So, those are the two hypotheses that people can weigh over. Good bye, Bobby -
