  1. Sorry, I was dropping out of this, but I have to comment on the new stupid arguments. The vig killed Kovacs and Brickelodeon, two townies. After that, we decided we needed to be more conservative. Night two, the scum targeted me, and I was protected. Hatley didn't send in a blocking action night two. And again, I am not vanilla, I have the speaker role. Making stuff up is going to just make you look more desperate. No. Just plain no. I only write this for the sake of those who are new to the game. That is absolutely what the vig should not do. For example, when I taught a mafia school, this was the PM sent to the vig: The reason why? Because it's mafia 101. So much so that I WROTE IT IN ALL-CAPS. So, no, I won't allow this idea to even be floated around. You have not brought numerical data to support your claims, since you have no idea how many power roles there were to start, and how many remain. Actually, just as an example to show your calculations to be nonsense, you ignored the role of protector. You messed up your argument, man, like you always do. But that's the problem with being scum: you're making your story up as you go along, so it's hard to keep your facts straight. Good luck, and try not to curse me out on the deadboard too much
  2. It's great that you have said that I'll use my claim of delivering two scum as if that shows it to be false Basically, catching scum is what town does. There was no need to bus, since there was no pressure on me. I was already cleared by the investigator early on, which got me the info from the watcher that let me catch Sinclair. Sinclair would not have claimed to kill Kovacs night one if he was working with me. And since when does scum bus two of their own early on? That's a baffling strategy. And yes, you were in line to be lynched. I just call out one target at a time. Molly was first, you were second. No need to tell third and fourth, since that will give away what the block is thinking. Standard operating procedure. And you are correct, you have posted walls of text, but it's just you making up silly theories. None of it is probable at all. Your main theory is that I am scum because I have led to two scum lynches. Strange, don't you think? My only accusation against you is certainly not that you were going after me. You were blocked on a night, and a kill went through. That is the only evidence to support a town claim on you. So, after Molly, you had the weakest town evidence supporting you, and you were going to be vig-killed tonight. Your posts today are the proof As for thinking you would be taken out for being active? Come on Bobby, we know that simply isn't true. You have never been taken out for being too valuable to the town team ever Anyway, either Bobby will be lynched, or there will be a no-lynch. I'm not worried. Bobby doesn't know it, but yeah, town still has the numbers I'm not going to entertain this argument further.
  3. Votes are pretty low. The town has two choices: the guy who helped deliver two scum, or Heckle and Jeckle (Bobby and Molly). Bobby has done nothing all game, and Molly is, well, riding the short bus. Bobby's sudden brashness strikes me of his late-day scum flail, and I'm about 100% certain he's scum at this point, much like Sinclair. I'm very curious as to what'll happen.
  4. So you say, based on nothing, except you're laziness all game, except on this late day. If you somehow are actually just a townie, my sympathy. Your big play today is an exquisite explosion that will haunt you. So far, you're the only vote for me, but I dare all to vote for me. I'll come up town, and that will only cement the town alliance, sealing the fate of the scum. As I said already, I win with town, so lynching me would only make town's win even more confirmed. As a scum technique, this one was a failure. For your future notes. *you're > your
  5. Bobby, you were going to be the vig kill tonight. Now, you've moved up the schedule. Good job for you. Again, you did nothing for five days of game, now on day six you claim to be paying attention. It's an interesting gambit, but fated to lose since you know nothing about the actual block. I have the speaker's PR role. I would spell it out for you more, but you still wouldn't get it. My role was gifted to me on day one when elected. It is a PR role. It is a night action. Your inability to comprehend this just underlines anything I've said about you throughout the game. I have taunted scum to kill me, in part to waste their kill/catch someone with the watcher, but at this point, with the dumbness being thrown around in thread, I welcome a scum kill: I win with town, so even dead I win, it will confirm everything I've said, and it would be great to see these road bumps be forced to publicly admit they know nothing.
  6. One of you two is definitely scum. And to be honest, yeah, it probably was Bobby. The vig was just going to take you out tonight. It could be both of you. The claims of wacky PMs aren't so different from the nonsense Molly has sent to me. The vig is lying in wait. The town block has been prudent, and also wanted to confirm that it was actually a vig and not a SK. We had no evidence of scum, so there was no reason to kill. So all of Bobby's theory is totally wrong. It'll probably be proven tonight, as someone out of the group is taken down, and I will laugh laugh laugh, and then remind everyone that Molly doesn't know how to play... The town block will be given away somewhat here, but basically, half of us won't vote for me. Half (minus one) might. My message to the town block earlier: Why would I like Molly dead? Because she has been the biggest in-thread impediment to town from the start. Maybe town, maybe scum, but definitely in the way, and not on purpose. Anyway, vote away Bobby. Good to see you participate on day six, having done nothing for the five days previous, making your gambit based on the player who has lynched two scum. Good call, you lose. Unvote: Molly (Mencot) Vote: Bobby (Bob)
  7. Of course you think I'm fooling you. As I wrote, you don't know how to play. You know I have a power role, and I used it on you the first night. That really is an over-complicated way of thinking about it. Think about it this way: I know what the town power roles are. Without saying who's left and who's gone, I think we can agree that the blocker is the least useful town role. It is in my opinion at least. If I were scum, I would have taken out Hatley after any other power role, not first. It's too much of a dangerous game for scum to have other roles hanging around.
  8. Three scum is improbable. Possibly two. But I'm not worried, since the pool of people that could be scum is very small. Your defense of Molly is noted.
  9. Because I don't want to waste time. All the same, I would rather work with the information we have. In the long term, we can't rely on these roles, but for now, yeah, we should.
  10. Yeah, she doesn't know how to play. Archie was cleared by investigation, and I believe his claim that Sinclair contacted him. Molly has nothing but wacky PMs to justify her place here. You making a heavy defense of Molly is noted.
  11. Vote: Molly (Mencot) Thinning the herd.
  12. That was one example, but there have been lots. Lots of sleepy players. Some of it's my fault for being so loud, but everyone needs to pull their weight. That being said, Molly is my choice today. She has done nothing but drag the town back with her obsession over me. She wasted the first few days on it, then I helped spearhead two lynches on scum. Her conclusion? I'm scum. Enough is enough. Every other person here, we have some reason to think they are Loyal, but the only thing she has is her erratic behaviour that seems unlikely for scum. That's not enough.
  13. Says the guy who has been proven so far to know jack. Good call It's great that you have said nothing of value all game, but amazing that you attempt to underline that fact in the late game. Not sarcasm, it's actually amazing. I'm stunned at your passionate commitment to broadcasting your lack of knowledge. I'm town, I haven't been recruited (as far as my PM box has shown me), if you have an ounce of anything contradicting that, tell us. Seriously, lay it out. Your bold claim is enough to make scum target you if you are telling the truth and actually know. Rather, you are playing worse in the late days than in the early days (no small thing, considering how much you railed against me as I led lynches on two Octans), saying stuff without any reason other than that you fetishise a person with a reputation above your own. This is going to kill you (figuratively), but I'm right, you're wrong, and this is just going to place you a rank lower in people's reputation of you than it already is when I'm shown to be correct. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I know it's in bad taste to punch down, but how much of this stupidity am I expected to take?
  14. You didn't see the part I deleted.
  15. I usually use the 3:1 rule, meaning with 18 player, three or four max.
  16. What are you talking about? Who's talking about the vig? I said Goliath was blocker, the scum 99% knew it, and every townie who was paying attention should have too. Saying that doesn't make any difference, but it does give us reason to look at who was so sure he was 'scum'. And we can not debate about vig kills and scum kills. That was the scum. Because they knew he was the blocker. Do you know what the word blab means? If I said it yesterday, that would have been blabbing. Today, it's clearing things up and giving better targets.
  17. Gerald was an ideal scum target. He basically outed himself as the blocker on day two or three. Anyone who genuinely thought he was scum can be said to have not been paying attention. Or are part of a ridiculous scum ploy. This is just bad play. Either you're scum, or you weren't part of the conversation. Assuming the scum team has half a brain and you're not on the team, they can see that you were not part of that conversation. Really, some questions being asked in thread this game, it is a case of people either being scum, or not being prudent about the information they want. A question like that would be far more appropriate for PM. Or would you like me to simply list the town group to you? The only cover for that is that I try to do some public disagreements with townies to put some distance between myself and my allies. Keep scum guessing. But sometimes townies just blab too much.
  18. Yes, it is, because you don't know much. It's been discussed, and the conclusion we came to is that standard rules are that power roles are unrecruitable, and I have a power role, therefore I should be unrecruitable. It's not 100% something we can know, but I prefer to work out the probabilities, and that's where things are.
  19. Hmmm. It's too bad about Pierce. The case against him wasn't all that strong, but his non-defence yesterday and his lack of play all the way along put us in an awkward position. For today? I'd love to just come out and say the uncleared names, since it's less than half of us, but it would give the scum a roadmap to finding power roles, if they don't know them already. We had a town reading on one of the uncleared names, but personally, it doesn't mean all that much to me with how they've been in public and private. Sometimes you have to not rely on these roles too much. That said, I don't want to be the obvious leader today. You folks should use what you know from the public record. But, what Archie said before about being contacted, the scum may have recruited someone. Unlucky for them being recruited to the losing team...
  20. I think that's a pretty townie move. Would he have revealed that if he were recruited?
  21. I've looked at the tally, and there isn't much I can make of it. Some games are better than others. But expecting me to give a better indication of where we are is simply unreasonable. I led the lynch on Sinclair based on his behaviour in thread, and led the lynch on Stanley based on the investigator's results. That's better than most here. If you have better ideas, pioneer them, don't blame others for not supplying your lynch candidate.
  22. Your tastes are a little highbrow for Eurobricks. No licensed characters or Lego sets in your list! I vacillate between the high and the low, though recently, it's been more low than high. From your list, I saw Birdman, Gone Girl, and the Grand Budapest Hotel. Probably, I liked Gone Girl the most, it was the one which drew me out the most. I wanted to know what was happening. Birdman was interesting too, but I liked Edward Norton more than Keaton. I liked TGBH too, but Anderson movies have started being impersonal to me. I loved Rushmore, and it's been diminishing returns since. I also really liked: Boyhood: Genuinely emotional, made me remember so much of my teens. Just amazing. Lucy: that was a rare movie. No chance for a sequel, just a steady, logical escalation of things. Really interesting, but probably not going in the pantheon. Edge of Tomorrow: Holy, this was unexpected. Tom Cruise sucks, but he appears in good movies sometimes. He chose a great script, a great director, and made a movie that nobody saw in the theater. It's interesting. Genuinely interesting. Foxcatcher: Channing Tatum is awesome. Mark Ruffalo was invisible. A creepy, compelling movie. I was in uni when the 'true story' happened, and I don't remember it happening at all, so this was fresh for me. Guardians of the Galaxy: Star Wars vs Indiana Jones. I've seen Super, and expected this to be good, but this surpassed any pop expectations I had. Chef: made me feel happy. It's a bit of wish fulfilment on the part of Jon Favereau, but still very positive. Nebraska: Same as with Anderson, I'm less pulled in as we get away from Election. I get why people make serious, heavy works, but it's not so fun to watch. I liked it, but I'll never rematch it, and I've rewatched Election three or four times. The first 20 minutes of Captain America 2: holy shit, Captain America taking down a boat of terrorists. I know Marvel needs to go big all the time, but the small stuff is where it kicks butt. I would really enjoy seeing a movie of a small scale mission. Though I loved seeing Arnim Zola too. I watched the Interview last week and was very pleasantly surprised. The reviews were so down on it, it made it all the better. Thinking of the 1980's political comedies like Stripes or Spies Like Us, well, the Interview is definitely better. Neighbours was better than the Interview, but the Interview was a solid comedy.
