  1. Just got a call, they want me to start in three weeks, which means I need to find an apartment, change my visa, and learn my way around a new city. I'm better off just sitting this one out. Maybe I can be on the reserves.
  2. 1. Your past Mafia experience Piles of it. 2. Your availability to post frequently for the next 6-8 weeks There is a chance I'll be starting a new job, in which case I'll be moving, but I'll still be able to play over the phone... 3. Applied knowledge of the board software's use of the term "portal" It's how EB connects to other sites, right? 4. Your most embarrassing moment (yes, there's a reason. If you don't want to share, make one up One night, while eating sausages with a friend, rather than cut them, I simply stabbed them with a fork and bit into them. On one bite, I couldn't bite through the skin easily. As I bit, it punctured a little hole, then just put pressure on the meat inside, causing a jet of sausage spray to shoot up my nose. It gave me a bloody nose. My friend laughed at me.
  3. Roughly. Whitefang is next in line whenever he's ready, but I'll be doing Bloodbrick II in the future. This mafia stuff is like jazz; done on the fly. I'll be needing an assistant for that one too; new play mechanics and all
  4. Why must you be a divider? Be a uniter.
  5. At least we can agree on the fact that Big Cam shells like cheese. There we can find unity.
  6. There's truth to what you're saying, but the people there also appreciate the work; it's better than delivering tortillas for a living. I'm no fan of corporate culture, but I need to make a distinction between companies building their own factories in cheap labour countries and simply outsourcing it to the cheapest bidder. Companies like, for example, Nike or Apple, outsource their labour, and when problems go down in those factories (ie. worker suicide), they just say they didn't know about it, and that it wasn't under their control. With Lego having their own factories, they are taking a certain level of responsibility for the production and the workers, the latter being the important part.
  7. I don't think you played badly at all, after all, the proof is in the results. But, my point was that you were pinging my scumdar pretty heavy by the third page of day five. I've played two games with you before, on the same team, so I guess I'm getting attuned to your style. To be fair to Tammo, I doubt he memorized Werewolf and the Forest before playing this game.
  8. What? IRC and Writeboard are entirely separate websites from EB. That's why I prefer Writeboard to PMs, since nobody on site can tell we're using it. As far as I know, I brought Writeboard here during the Werewolf game in February, after using it on a few games elsewhere where it's standard. But it's never been standard here. It's case by case. Same as IRC. Some members live by it, but others don't use it. There is no portal between Writeboard or IRC. If there is, this is the first I heard of it. That afternoon, I spent a lot of time refreshing the the day five window, skimming through the first few days and looking over the remaining player's posts.
  9. Sorry if that sounded like me being a poor sport, I was just frustrated that day and was bubbling over with stuff to say. Literally two days earlier, I finished playing another game that went down to 3:1, and me and another voted the last scum, but the mayor (1.5 votes) had different vibes, and sealed the deal for scum. Two nearly identical losses within days of each other. And what I was saying about Rufus acting scummy, you can see a lot of difference in his behaviour here and in the last game he played as a town, The Forest. I think it would be the same for Hinckley. Once people get used to someone as an active town player, it's a lot easier to see them when they're scum, since it's hard to show equal enthusiasm. Conversely, someone like Dragonator is almost always obtuse (though he got pretty outgoing in The Forest too). Simply playing his regular subdued game while surviving past the first day is almost enough to get him pegged as scum whether he's guilty or not. Cheers to the scum
  10. Well, I would have enjoyed my short experience more if Rupert hadn't been scumming up the place Tammo, you really contradicted yourself that last day, stating that you wanted to hear arguments, but then also that you didn't want to overthink it and rather, follow your gut. You hit your peak here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=58210&view=findpost&p=1037286 You know why it was perfect? Because he was guilty. I don't want to take away from Scum's win, because they certainly won, but Rufus's reply to me was a total scum flail. The first half of the day, he was trying not to be active, then when I called him on it, he took the time to have a long reply. I say not voting is a scum move, so he votes. The town move would be to keep the position, and not vote Fugazi, out of fear of losing things for town. And Tammo, that was why we wanted you not to vote Fugazi. Not a scum plot, but that we lost the game. I'm kind of glad I didn't play from day one, or I would have been really heart-broken over this. Rather, I came in for Peanuts, but... As a host, active participation is one of those things I harp on about. So, even as a sub, I got up to pace. I created a Google spreadsheet looking at who voted and in what order. I tried to figure out what I could from the thread since that was all a no-action townie can do. Rufus's vote for iamded on day two was super scummy. When he did it, the day could have gone either way, and he was trying to keep Shadows alive. Ricecracker was more unreadable. He did the same in Bloodbrick, I might add. When Rice voted on day five, he was stinking of scum, playing coy even though he had won with that vote. If it were me, I would've given the middle finger as I placed that vote, since it was too late for Tammo to see the light. Thanks for the chance to play, Q-man. I enjoyed the 36 hours I put into it. I appreciate that it wasn't an ideal hosting situation for you. There was literally nothing more Fugazi and I could have done to make you see the light, short of flying to your house, smacking you in the face and dousing you in ice water. You kept asking for a reason to change votes and you got plenty. But you weren't having any of it. You have a lot of mafia studying to do
  11. I don't think they need permission to make it. It's not "Lego" Lego, it just reminds you of it
  12. I'm looking forward to day six
  13. I don't think there's much else to do there
  14. Damn you Tammo! I'm town, therefore scum is with you! Keep in mind that the votes are locked now that majority has been reached (that's still a rule here, right?). So, this isn't me trying to convince you to change. This is me telling you I'm town. I think you just lost the game. You and your gut <There is a slight, very slight chance that there were only two scum to begin with, and Fuschia was the second, but that still wouldn't make any sense of her behaviour today. I stick with the previous statement. The game is over. >
  15. I didn't clearly address this point; Voting for Rupert is the only way to not lose. If Fuschia were scum, we would have already lost. He would have coordinated his opening vote with his scum mate, and when I placed my vote, they would have won the game. The rest was clearly explained here (but as we've seen, arguments are less valid than your gut): http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=58210&view=findpost&p=1037249 Since I'm town, I know that Fuschia must be town. Therefore Rupert must be scum. It's the only way the numbers add up. Of course, I didn't put your gut into the equation, so the math might not work for you. But, as I said, and you foolishly took as some sort of fear tactic, if you are town, you can puzzle this over in the afterlife how you ignored everything even though it was delivered right to you. I haven't worked with Fuschia at all, but between her and Rupert, she gave off big town signals, and Rupert gave off big scum ones. For you, you get this: Rupert must be doing cartwheels waiting for Richelle's vote. Oh, and one last thing. If we vote out scum, the game isn't over. If we vote out town, the game is over. So, scum aren't going to come out and make hard alliances, because that would doom the other player on the next game day. Understand? So, if Fuschia and I were scum, we would jeopardize our survival by coming to such a close agreement, since the other would just get picked off the next game day. So basically, Fuschia and my behaviour is once again not the behaviour of scum players. Again, I realize that I'm not factoring your gut into the equation, but it works a hell of a lot better when I ignore your gut.
  16. You ignored the arguments. If you really want them, read this thread
  17. Jeezus. Give it a rest.
  18. No, I'm making the situation clear so there's no doubt about it afterward. In my many lives, that's the way I've been. Particularly as a townie at the end of my game. And nobody else will ridicule you. The people here are kinder than that. You'll do it to yourself, because even when the situation was spelt out for you, you "went with your gut." Anyway, enough of this, let's wait for Richelle to finalize this game.
  19. Oh Tammo, there will be a lot to think about in the post game if you turn out to be town. What are you talking about? I went to bed for a few hours, and in that time, you and Fuschia had a little tete a tete. Before that, I kept the window open to follow the arguments as they came up. And I posted along with Rupert and you. Hey, whenever you post, Fuschia posts. Coincidence? I think not. You must be working together And I'm working with you and Rupert I never said anything like that. I thought you were scummy because of your voting record, and in this case because you're making a vote that makes you either scum or a n00b. That's the way it looks. We'll find out soon which one you are. At this point, I don't expect you to change your vote. I think you ignored all the points about Rupert acting scummy, and there were lots. Stuff to deeply consider in the next life. Scum or n00b... I won't comment on the rest of your notes since they aren't about me. Fuschia can address them if she chooses.
  20. Tammo, you're really making a big mistake. When Rochelle gets back, she's going to vote for Fuschia, and you're really going to feel like a sucker. It really couldn't have been explained more clearly... Reread all I posted today. Scum doesn't work as hard as Fuschia does. The only reason Rupert started saying anything is because I called him out on it. Which in itself is scummy. If you don't change that vote, I hope you are the other scum. I don't think Richelle is gullible enough to make that mistake.
  21. Look at the work done in today's discussion... Fuschia and I are trying to read people's behaviour, and I have gone through all the votes, even showed a spot where Rupert was BS'ing about the votes. Fuschia and I are working hard to put things together, while Rupert is playing it off. Besides, if I were scum, I wouldn't have put my neck out on the line. I would have waited to see how the votes go and pile on to get a victory. No, I'm working to get a victory for the Loyals. I suggest you look at how Dragana, Amy, and even Sammy handled the votes thrown at them... They worked hard because they were on the side of town, even when there was no hope for them. That's what good town does. It's very hard for scum to fake that, and they rarely do. That's why Rupert is so quiet. If you really are Loyal, then it looks like you will be the deciding vote. The victory hinges on your judgment. Good luck Oh dear oh dear... All of this cold, hard logic is making me sleepy. I need to straddle my pillow and get some beauty sleep. I'll be back to see how we fare in two shakes of a lamb's tail
  22. Really? You don't look like one. At this point, we can also say: Fuschia was right about the gang up theory. If Rupert were innocent, and Tammo scum, then Tammo would already have cast the lynch vote. He hasn't, so that is impossible. Both Tammo and Rupert could be scum. In which case, Tammo would have to do the calculation of when to give up on his partner. The only case where both could be innocent would be if Fuschia and I were both scum, and I know I'm not, so that means Rupert is definitely guilty
  23. Nice try When you voted for Amy, it was a toss up between her and Irena. The vote could have gone either way, and scum would rather their scummates not get lynched: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57610&view=findpost&p=1027332 Then why wouldn't you put a vote on one of us two then? And why try to deflect suspicion onto Tammo at the same time that you urge her to not vote for you? Either you think she's scum or you don't. I think Fuschia's out there moves today place her to be a hard working townie more than a scum with a gambit, and your "help" today reeks of scum moves. I truly hope you are scum, I'd hate to have destroyed this family on a hunch (even if it's an educated one)
  24. I've seen what I wanted to see. In these situations, accused town tend to make defenses and try to convince their town mates to shift things. Look at Amy, look at Dragana. Then look at Irena. Scum are often worried about being seen as flailing, so they try to play it cool. This vote carries the game, and Rupert's coolness says to me that he is purposely not reacting much to Fuschia, just trying to spin it against him. I think this, with the all town voting record, and the under-the-radar play points to Rupert as scum. Vote: Rupert (Rufus) I've seen what I wanted to see. In these situations, accused town tend to make defenses and try to convince their town mates to shift things. Look at Amy, look at Dragana. Then look at Irena. 25. Unless you're scum, then you need one more townie vote to get it through... But, I'm leaning toward Rupert or Tammo anyway. I'd jump in, but it may be seen as a rush to convict, and I want to hear more from everyone else. I have a couple more notions too, but I want to hear a little more before giving details. Keep in mind that I have shared my thoughts a fair amount, in regards to the voting record and the scum being middle of the pack, so I'm not playing coy with you all. I want to hear from Rupert and Richelle before voting.
