An Idiot's guide to Brickfilming (a.k.a. what NOT to do)
Suproc replied to Playwell Bricks's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
I thought the final video was pretty smooth. Sound and effects were nice as well. Practice makes perfect when it comes to stop-motion. I'm a little confused on the backdrop though, it's very distracting to me especially in a review video where the focus should be on the parts. Then when you do the fun silly stuff it's still hard to see what's going when there's a huge mass of bricks that aren't really bricks on the floor. -
For $350, that spinning wheel hidden away better make me cursed as well!

SDCC Superheroes Exclusive Minifigures Guessing Game 2016
Suproc replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hope that LEGO goes back and re-releases some of the classic figures they've released. I mean like this Captain America, I don't care if I get my hands on him. Something like the ASM2 Spider-Man, again, we have so many it doesn't matter. But stuff like the Phoenix or Spider-Woman, those are classic superheroes that now cost like $250. I'm not familiar on the Atom except that he is a rip-off of Ant-Man or something but again, that's kind of unfair to those DC fans. I like what they did with Rocket Raccoon, made a nice little set and then later released him again by himself. -
I'm not the biggest fan of Disneyland but this is gorgeous. It makes me want to sell all the furniture in my living room and just have the set displayed in the center.

It just doesn't make sense to me. Less than 400 parts for $60 and we get two cars? What's the first thing people think of when they think of Hulk? Smashing! And this set contains not one, but four Hulks! They could have had an awesome set with a ton of play features where you can break and destroy things but instead we get two terrible looking cars. Lego just knows people are buying it for the figures so it's like they didn't even bother. They really should just make a Marvel collectible minifigure season. Those would sell like hotcakes. I guess I'm the problem considering I'm picking this up first thing when it comes out though.

Wow, this is beautiful. That dark red and green combo really pops. 10/10 from me. That tree in the background could use some more love though.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Suproc replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
My favorite this year has to be Captain Marvel. Close runner-ups would have to be Doctor Strange or Scarlet Spider. -
One recommendation I would give is that it feels a little too similar. I see your entire bottom layer is all comprised of the same slopes. I would try mixing that up. Use some smaller ones, big ones, heck I would even use an actual brick every once in a while. Another thing that might help you out is that currently all your slopes face the same way. You could try mixing them around and get some to face one way, some to face another. Then use slopes and cheeses to hide some of the flat part away. But even in real life, a lot of rocks and cliffs have plenty of flatness. Maybe you know this already but if you're using the inside as supports then you can use whatever colors you want and that would save you money. I mean only you would ever know that there's red and yellow or what have you hidden inside.

If Lego can give us something like Red She-Hulk then I'm hoping they can give us something like Richard Rider's Nova or Adam Warlock. I mean sure, I like the Red Hulks and all but I'm not dying to get them or anything. Plus, It's 2016 and we still don't have a Mysterio. What kind of world is this?!

I can't wait to live in a future where I could ride something like this. It just looks so sleek and the parts usage blows me away. I love that subtle brown seat. A minifigure can't sit on this, right?

This is awesome. I honestly haven't seen this idea done before and the intimidating scale shown looks really fierce. It reminds me a lot of Kologarn from World of Warcraft.

Wow, She-Hulk has been my favorite superhero since I was a kid. I want this so bad. Shame the price is absolutely outrageous though. How many bigfig Hulks do we even need? I want to see a set with a real mix of heroes. But this is a start.

Does anybody have any ideas of how to create the original Star-Lord? It appears in both blue and dark blue. Here were two torso ideas I had but I'm not sold on them: I can't think of a proper headgear though and I had trouble finding legs that weren't just plain colors. Any help would be appreciated. I'm working on a comic series.

I don't think they'll switch it. I really think the Iron Man mask they have now works perfectly. Sure, it's a little top-heavy, but it's fun to flip the mask up and the size allows a lot of detail to be printed on. This full-sized mask like Darth Vader seems like a big step back so that's why I think that they simplified it just for this micro line.

Wow, that's a great idea. All you need to do is get a red groin, yellow legs, and maybe two 1x1 red bricks if you really wanted to make it look good.

I think that this looks awesome. Light-bluish grey is my favorite Lego color and I really like how you mixed studs with tiles. Your use of blue glass really pops with the flooring and all those fancy wires going into the Hulk-Buster makes it look like a force to be reckoned with! One small note is that it's really cool how you made the suit pods (for lack of a better word) modular. You could just make them and add them whenever you want. That's pretty clever.

I have a love-hate relationship with these mighty micros. I like them since they're a unique type of minifigure and I own almost every Marvel minifigure in nice baggies all labeled but I want to take these micros and switch their parts around and make my own full-size figures but that would ruin my collection. If I had an infinite budget I'd definitely buy two of every set so I can play around with them.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Suproc replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Does anybody have the Hydra Fortress set? I have all 6 sets and they're great but I'm confused about this particular one. In this set, there is a tank and you press the front down and it is supposed to fly away but mine doesn't do that. I looked at the instructions and at first I couldn't make it work so I moved it ahead so the front would have more room to swing and now what it does is give just enough force to knock it off the studs but it doesn't even get off the tank. It just awkwardly sits there. I can't take pictures, at work so if anybody has a working one please let me know. Thanks! -
Green Goblin from the helicopter set. Uggggghhhhh.

Her torso looks perfect there. LEGO best not mess up again with her. -

Are they joking with that Black Widow torso? They change the hair and the face, make it look nice. But they still keep that ugly orange skin on the torso. I mean how hard could that even have been to fix? It's so noticeable in that picture I'm hoping it's a mistake. I don't want another ugly Black Widow. -
That is just fantastic, Autorazr! What did you use for the Man-Spider?

Does anybody know of more pics of the rocket poly? Possibly containing pics of a milano with the stickers. -
Autorazr, really, really great work. You do very faithful recreations. However, I am wondering why you only use yellow for your superheroes. Your friend, throgthefrog. ;)

Wow, this is really great. Lots of play features and it looks nice. If I had to suggest something though I'd say to add ground to it because right now it feels like a box. I think adding some greenery could really make it pop.
