  1. Alright, it's time to wrap this raffle up! Good luck to all the entrants in the random draw that will happen sometime in the next few days!
  2. It would be good if you were stable, but I have never heard of an atom with a mass like yours being stable. Atoms of your mass tend to break down because their size makes them unstable. I don't mean this as an insult to make you unstable; it's just a scientific fact! My atoms are very stable. Occasionally some isotopes tend to eat too many neutrons, but they only feel slightly unstable and can live with it for thousands of years.
  3. Just a reminder that entries for this raffle must be in by the end of today (Tuesday 12th of October)! Note that 11pm NZT is 10am GMT and 6am EST.
  4. I get along well with the rest of the fullerenes. How could I not - they're my family! And my direct family, not like graphite, diamond or soot. I hate soot especially, and we all pretend that he's not part of the extended Carbon family. He's quite literally the part of the family tree that got burnt off.
  5. We may be related, but I prefer not to associate with such slippery substances. The only reason graphite is accepted in today's society is because he rubs off on everyone and he serves an important role in communication. The previous element was fired because he killed people and made others go crazy... No element should conduct that kind of behaviour; it's very exciting, which isn't good for a boring element. Mind you, I suppose you'd be interested in that kind of occurrence, WolframorV. You tend to get excited to the point of glowing don't you? If it weren't for Argon protecting you so nobly, I imagine you'd explode in flames or something. You're the one to talk. You're such a softy that any pure jewellery you make can't hold its shape or its value. Now that's squishy rubbish.
  6. Collection of inferior elements? I'm elementary, my dear Dragoldnator. I'm made of pure carbon, which is the essential to systems so complex you'd never understand. Organic chemistry is something you'll never be part of.
  7. Afford you? Compared to Carbon diamonds, you're just a common ore who would react with just about anyone if you were given half a chance. And do I even need to mention the Electrum scandal? Let it be known though that I don't think much of diamonds. I am by far the superior allotrope.
  8. Yes there is. It's 1.4142135623730950488016887242096980785696718753769480731766797379907324784621 07038850387534327641572735013846230912297024924836055850737212644121497099935831 41322266592750559275579995050115278206057147010955997160597027453459686201472851 74186408891986095523292304843087143214508397626036279952514079896872533965463318 08829640620615258352395054745750287759961729835575220337531857011354374603408498 84716038689997069900481503054402779031645424782306849293691862158057846311159666 87130130156185689872372352885092648612494977154218334204285686060146824720771435 85487415565706967765372022648544701585880162075847492265722600208558446652145839 88939443709265918003113882464681570826301005948587040031864803421948972782906410 45072636881313739855256117322040245091227700226941127573627280495738108967504018 36986836845072579936472906076299694138047565482372899718032680247442062926912485 90521810044598421505911202494413417285314781058036033710773091828693147101711116 83916581726889419758716582152128229518488472089694633862891562882765952635140542 26765323969461751129160240871551013515045538128756005263146801712740265396947024 03005174953188629256313851881634780015693691768818523786840522878376293892143006 55869568685964595155501644724509836896036887323114389415576651040883914292338113 20605243362948531704991577175622854974143899918802176243096520656421182731672625 75395947172559346372386322614827426222086711558395999265211762526989175409881593 48640083457085181472231814204070426509056532333398436457865796796519267292399875 36661721598257886026336361782749599421940377775368142621773879919455139723127406 68983299898953867288228563786977496625199665835257761989393228453447356947949629 52168891485492538904755828834526096524096542889394538646625744927556381964410316 97983306185201937938494005715633372054806854057586799967012137223947582142630658 51322174088323829472876173936474678374319600015921888073478576172522118674904249 77366929207311096369721608933708661156734585334833295254676. (That's only 2000sf, but I can be more specific if you require.)
  9. Thank you for finding that! I'll see if they have space for my Bionicles!
  10. Yes, that mask is fine. Just don't make your entry look like Chirox.
  11. Villain Factory Month continues in the Action Figure Forum, and great entries into the various contests have started to appear! To give people more time to get their entries completed, the raffle and contests closing dates have been extended to the 12th and 15th of October respectively, so start building if you haven't already! Find contest topics and details in the Action Figure Forum.!
  12. Thanks, it helps to keep posts readable and clear. Watch your spelling a bit closer as well (such as "u" and "whats"), and capitalize your "i"'s. I'm not sure if there is enough space, but I would have preferred his hand used a 3L bar, from the collectible minifigs. The pick-axe looks strange because it's not part of a regular hand.
  13. One of the few MOCs I sent to Brickcon 2010, of which I'll also be posting the rest shortly. There's not too much to say about this one, other than I'm quite pleased with the way the cartoon eyes turned out.
  14. What are you talking about? I'm Von Nebula...

  15. I was at a Farmers yesterday, and they were raising the prices (for the new GST) rather than dropping them.
  16. They don't necessarily have to be humanoid, but they have to be recognizable as a villainous henchman rather than a giant monster.
  17. The similarity is clear, but robots performing dangerous acts of public service wasn't an original idea for Megabloks or Hero Factory. I like the sound of the Station 22 setting with fire-based invaders. It reminds me of the premise of many dark sci-fi films. I'm now hoping that the three smaller villains are generics, part of a massive swarm of enemies converging on the station in a Starship Trooper fashion.
  18. Remember that Flash Factory application on the Hero Factory website that citizens use to describe their monster problems? Von Nebula and other villains have discovered that it makes a great brainstorming platform for engineering new villains to help plunder and destroy the galaxy! The premise of this mini contest is simple: Create 3 wild and diabolical villains using the Flash Factory application. How to Enter Create 3 different villains using the Flash Factory application on Herofactory.com (You may need to update your Flash player to run it). For each villain, save he/she/it to a 450x350 max image file (see possible methods listed below). Post the images in this topic, including a name and description for each villain before 15th of October 2010 at 2300 NZT to qualify the entries. General Notes Villains must be created exclusively in the Flash Factory application. There are plenty of pieces and transforming options - Get creative! Any adjusting of images after being made in Flash Factory other than converting file format, resizing and cropping will disqualify the entry. 3 entries per person are required to enter, but feel free to make more. You can replace any of your 3 entries with other villains right up until the close date of the contest. Entries that appear too similar to earlier entries may not be accepted as one of a person's 3 entries. The prize for the winner of this contest is an exclusive Toyfair 2010 Hero Factory Promo with CD! Saving Villains to an Image File Because the Flash Factory only offers printing to paper as the method of saving and sharing your Villain, it's slightly difficult to show a Villain online. There are a few ways around this though, which are less-wasteful and faster than printing and rescanning the image. This first method is easiest. Simply position the browser window so that you can see all of your villain, and press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. Then, open up an application such as Paint and paste the screen capture into the blank image (Edit - Paste). Crop the image to show only the villain, resize it, and you're done! This method is fast and simple, although the size of the villain is limited by your screen resolution. (Any screen size should be plenty for this contest though.) A second method is install a Printer to PDF/BMP/PNG/etc driver, of which many free versions can be found from a quick search on the Internet. Once installed, you should be able to select this driver from the printer list under the Flash Factory print dialogue, which will save the Villain to the particular kind of file instead. From there, crop and resize as needed and your Villain will be ready to be entered! The advantage of this method (tested in printing to PDF) is that the raster shapes of the Villain pieces are preserved, so you can get much higher resolution versions of the Villain than screen capturing or printing to paper could do. Post your questions and entries in this topic. I'll be creating a separate index topic for all the entries later.
  19. MOCs need to be made new for this contest. If you make a decent amount of improvements/changes to an old MOC, that should be fine.
  20. Absolutely - just build and post something abiding by the rules and you're entered! The prize will be posted to the winner free of charge.
  21. If it's big enough, it should go in the Vehicle category, otherwise you might be able to make it fit the Henchmen category.
  22. It would be nicer if you could make something new, because that's the aim of this contest after-all - to get people to create more! It doesn't have to be themed to match one of the existing villains, but making a helicopter for Rotor would still be fine.
  23. Wow, those are totally different to what I had in mind for the next wave. I certainly didn't expect almost completely new pieces for the Heroes a second time in a row. I love that new aesthetic though, and I imagine they'll look extremely good once they have their physical plastic sheen. But guys, this is the 2010 Hero Factory topic. Those are from 2011.
  24. Any kind.
  25. LOVE Raffle What is LOVE to the cold-hearted and sinister scum that roam the galaxy? Is it the need to protect and support a dearest friend? Is it the taste of hot coffee in the morning? Is it the smell of a rose, or the touch of a purring kitten's rubbing against your hand? When approached with the question of what LOVE meant to him, Von Nebula said: "Little Obligatory Villain Experiments" To enter this raffle, build a little villain/creature/demon spawn for a Hero Factory villain. Whether it has a face only it's diabolical scientist creator could love, or it is so cute that people don't notice it's razor teeth is up to you! Rules You need to be a member of Eurobricks who joined before the 20th of September, 2010. The MOC needs to have at least two pieces in it. We reserve the right to disallow entries if they do not look like they'd fit in the Hero Factory universe. The entry must be posted in this topic before it closes, at the end of the 12th of October, 2010 (2300 NZT). Your entry must include one image (and only one image) and be no larger than 512x384. One entry per person. Winner will be decided randomly from all qualifying entries. Prize 6935 BIONICLE Polybag! It may not be from Hero Factory, but isn't this little critter the perfect devious little pet? How can you resist that smile, with teeth so clean they glow in the dark?
