  1. Set name: Hero Factory Toy Fair 2010 Promo Set Number: N/A Contents: Foldout with CD Year of release: 2010 This promotional item was given out to attendees of the 2010 Toy Fair exhibition, as an information pack for the set-to-be-released Hero Factory line. It's probably the first "official" Hero Factory merchandise ever released, but it contains no exclusive pieces or information, so it's not too special. I'm not sure if there are images of this promo's pages elsewhere, so I've scanned it for anyone interested in seeing it. Front This is the front cover of the promo, with the well-known image of Furno in the assembly tower. The promo is made of poster-card and when folded is slightly smaller than A5 (126mm x 191mm). You can see a slight semi-circular mark on the right edge that was left by a clear plastic sticker holding the fold-out closed. Inside When you open the promo, these are the first two pages you see. On the left is a selling pitch obviously intended for retailers, with phrases such as "great battle missions fighting evil" and "defeating evil villains lurking throughout galaxies" to convince retailers that these sets are going to fly off the shelves. Apparently Hero Factory is just for boys though, even though it would've been easy enough to use "kids" or "children" instead. The background of this page is a standard image of Makuhero City, but the colours have been made very vibrant yellows as if the sun was rising at dawn, signifying a new day (or era of sets). On the right pages there is a pocket that the CD is nicely tucked into. I don't have and image of the CD, but it's basically the Hero Factory circular logo printed plainly on a circular CD. The CD contains a movie file of the original Hero Factory teaser with Furno being assembled, in a lower quality than the version released on YouTube. This confuses me, because the CD has ample wasted space that could easily have been used to hold a higher quality version of the video, especially when it's for making good impressions on retailers. As far as my computer could tell, there wasn't an autorun file either, so the CD loaded like a data disk showing a single file that it could easily have launched straight into. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV-Wxf96h1E For those who haven't seen the trailer before, here it is. It's a great video, and I already feel slightly nostalgic watching it now. It must be the music. When you fold out the page with the text on it, you find these two pages, which are bios for each of the 6 Heroes. There's nothing special to note about the descriptions, aside from the decision to change William Blaze to William Furno being made already. The bios suffer from being standardized bullet points, with the last bullet point of each Hero being identical apart from Furno, Bulk and Surge not having communication headsets while the other three do. They have cameras, so do they enjoy showing the mission-tech support exactly how they're ignoring orders they can't hear? The projectiles of Bulk's arm canon are metal pellets, and I realize that LEGO probably wants to downplay the association with it being a firearm, but I don't see how saying it "shoots" rather than shoots helps. Back This is the back page of the promo, which simply has a nice Hero Factory logo embossed on industrial steel. Down the bottom is the trademark information, and on the left edge is the mark left by the other half of the sticker seal. It's great if you need an HQ version of the logo, although there are probably vector versions the logo in PDF/flash files now that are better. Conclusion Overall this promo is nice to look at, but contains nothing new or essential to a Hero Factory fan, although I believe the bios within it were new at the time it was given out. I wouldn't value it highly right now, but there are limited numbers of it and it was probably the first Hero Factory merchandise ever released. If you're lucky enough to come across one, hold onto it and keep it in good condition, because if Hero Factory becomes as long-running or as successful as BIONICLE was, it could become reasonably valuable! That's it for this "review", thanks for reading. I can answer questions for now, but they may need to be redirected to The Lanterne Rouge in the future, because he'll be receiving this shortly for winning the recent Hero Factory Mini-Contest that was hosted.
  2. The Stars were first seen in US Toys'R'Us stores right around this time last year, so hopefully the first 2011 Heroes will start appearing anytime before December.
  3. I guess I'll have to try and prove you wrong once they start hitting stores.
  4. The final battle between creator and creation has been fought out, and the creation Archer has emerged victorious! He is the all-powerful champion of this competition - the only villain to win all his matches! He shoots arrows that surge with power with such incredible speed that rivals a walrus in a clam-eating competition. The evil genius behind Archer would be proud if he wasn't spread around the arena walls, but the evil genius behind the evil genius behind Archer must be proud! Congratulations The Lantern Rouge! But after Archer's victory he remains trapped in the arena. Why hasn't he been teleported to the victory chamber to be served cake? Well folks, that's because it's not over! There's still one more match to go, because it is company policy not to leave any survivors, and we had an extra villain in the backlog. Behold, the mighty and fearless DRAGONATOR!! To vote, use the following format: Match 1 - Xalosaw Match 2 - El Patatas Fritas Please be aware that if you do not vote for Archer he will die. Please also be aware that if you vote for Archer he will die. Studies show that crime-syndicated entertainment viewers prefer game-shows that leave no surviving contestants, and Von Nebula is eager for this show to receive good ratings. For those interested, there is no victory chamber. The cake is a lie. The only faculty in this complex is the arena, and it will be flooded with a deadly neuro-toxin at the conclusion of this match. Have a nice day and enjoy voting! Round 6 - Final Final Match! .......................................... Archer....................................vs.........................................................Dragonator!!!
  5. Surely if it's just an upgrade you won't be adding too many new articulation points, and can use pre-2008 sockets for any that you do add. If you want Black legs, Breez would be better, because then you get four legs rather than two with a pairless third.
  6. Designed by Alpha Team leader, Preston Stormer, this cool cycle is the perfect vehicle for chasing criminals and getting to the scene of a crime quickly. Powered by a cold-fusion hydrogen reactor core, the Frost Cycle is extremely fast and has emissions that are so clean that they act against global warming. The main reason I made this MOC was obviously to use Preston Stormer's weapon arm in a different way.I was astonished to see how well it suited a motorbike when turned upside down, that I'd believe that the piece was designed with that subtly in mind. Unfortunately this is a very specific use of the piece, so I haven't made much progress in proving that weapon arms aren't the most specialized pieces ever.
  7. Good purchase - Meltdown is my favourite out of the four medium villains, for both the parts and character. I wouldn't trust the feet, but the Ben 10 thighs are fine and I'm fairly certain the new sockets are safe as well so long as you connect/disconnect them properly. Although I have Jet-pack Bulk rather than normal Bulk, I'd say that Stormer is better, unless you really love the single silver Glatorian hand and silver Hero parts. Stormer looks tougher and has more character in his helmet, and the weapons arm does have an alternative use unlike Bulk's (so far). Plus, he's the team leader.
  8. This is it - the fourth and final round of villains fighting each other. In this match it's creator versus creations, and I break character to congratulate The Lantern Rouge for being the owner of both superb final contestants. But it's not over yet! There can only be one surviving villain, and it doesn't necessarily have to be either of these two! To vote, use the following format: Match 1 - Xalosaw Match 2 - El Patatas Fritas Round 4 - Final Match! .......................................... Archer....................................vs.........................................................Dr. Ohm Come back tomorrow for the next round of voting (which will be in a new post later in the topic)!
  9. Balljoints is an unexpected development for the armour pieces. Good find though! I relooked over the images we've seen so far, and Jetbug's left arm shows the under-arm piece for both the heroes and villains clearly. Either 4 or 5 studs long, it has a socket on one end, a ball joint on the other, and a second ball joint in between as part of the arm, which is what the armour attaches to. The resulting piece doesn't have any extra aesthetic piece, but it works fantastically as part of the skeleton that ample combinations of "exo-skeleton" pieces can be added on top of in. The Fire Lord's arm also shows the piece with armour attached. It seems that Hero Factory has transitioned completely into a ball-and-socket system, that is completely distinct from the TECHNIC system that BIONICLE split off from so many years ago. I just hope that with so many of them, the sockets are finally stable. I also wonder what that means for the large sets of Summer 2011, and whether they'll be able to be complex non-humanoids using a ball-and-socket system rather than the TECHNINC/BIONICLE system of this year's large sets.
  10. Wow, I never knew your birthday was so close to mine! Happy Birthday! *rummages around for a present* Here's a pinata! You've already got plenty of action, so all I had left were figures like this one. I hope you like it!
  11. What a show! The previous matches seem to show that humanoid villains fair better than multi-limbed villains. Is there a link, or did all winning villains just have bigger and better weapons? Food for thought that can be snacked on during this next round.... The number of surviving contestants has been halved, and the stakes are double! With only two rounds left, these villains haven't come this far to die now. But there can only be one winner! To vote, use the following format: Match 1 - Xalosaw Match 2 - El Patatas Fritas Round 3 - Semifinal Matches Round 6 is running now - see later post! Match 1 .......................................... Blaster....................................vs.........................................................Archer Match 2 .......................................... BuzzCat...............................vs....................................................Dr. Ohm Come back tomorrow for the next round of voting (which will be in a new post later in the topic)!
  12. The first round has been completed, and blood/sap/motor oil has been spilled. The contestants you see before you in the arena have proven that they have the dedication needed to succeed in this sport. The Mustachinator overcame overwhelming botanic odds, BuzzCat resisted feeding the Walrux and Tank Thou held his own against the formidable nobody. What will the results of these matches be? Once again, you decide! To vote, use the following format: Match 1 - Xalosaw Match 2 - El Patatas Fritas Match 3 - Gordon Etc... Round 2 - Qualifying Matches Round 6 is running now - see later post! Match 1 .......................................... The Mustachinator....................................vs.........................................................Blaster Match 2 .......................................... Gazer the Staring Mantis...............................vs....................................................Archer Match 3 .......................................... Grapple Knukle...............................vs....................................................BuzzCat Match 4 .......................................... Dr. Ohm....................................vs.....................................Tank Thou Come back tomorrow for the next round of voting (which will be in a new post later in the topic)!

  14. Hero Factory Mini Contest Voting! The entries are in from the Hero Factory Mini Contest, so now comes the time for villain that's most likely to stay alive to be found! For a notoriously evil villain such as Von Nebula, the most effective way to do this is by making them fight each other in gladiatorial death-matches! Let the games begin! Voting for this contest will occur in five rounds lasting one day each, where you chose the outcome of each match by voting! Everyone who joined before the 23rd of October 2010 is entitled to vote once on each match per round. Entrants cannot vote on their own entries. At the end of each round, the entry in each match with the most votes will defeat their opponent and move on to the next round! In the case of a tie in an earlier round, both entries will move forward. If there is a tie in final round, the winner of the match will be chosen by a mysterious staff adjudicator. To vote, use the following format: Match 1 - Xalosaw Match 2 - El Patatas Fritas Match 3 - Gordon Etc... Round 1 - Warm-up Matches Round 6 is running now - see later post! 15. Voting - Vehicles Please post your votes in this thread. Voting ends 5 days from the time of this topic being posted. Voting is open to all members who joined prior to the contest opening date of September 17th You vote by allocating three points to the entries, giving the name of the person you are voting for. You can allocate these points any way you wish. Eg, valid point allocations would be: 3 points Shadows; OR, 2 points Shadows, 1 point Brickthing; OR 1 point Shadows, 1 point Brickthing, 1 point Svelte Entrants are NOT allowed to vote for themselves In the event of a tie, the winning entry will be chosen by a special judging panel of Staff! Vehicles category description: Build a vehicle for villains to use in crimes, be it supplying additional firepower or providing a quick getaway! Entry must include at least one driver and space for the driver to operate the vehicle. Drivers can be official sets/unoriginal MOCs, but must be the size of an official Hero Factory Hero or larger. Vehicles can be mechanical or organic, and can be aerial, ground, aquatic, etc based. Entry must include at least one function/weapon for villains to use while on the vehicle, aside from mobility. Vehicle must fit in with the style of official Hero Factory/BIONICLE sets. Entries: Blazing Hovercraft by lisqr "One of the most important skill for a criminal is to get away from the crime scene fast. The Blazing Hovercraft precisely provides this agility. Just hop on and you are ready to go. It's equipped with two missile pods to fend off any pursuing Heroes. Three turbines can fold up when landing. " Rad Bike by Darkblane "The Rad Bike was originally developed by Magma as his personal rapid assault vehicle. Constructed from volcanic debris, the bike was originally called the Volcan Bike and came equipped with Volcanic Blasters, identical to those carried by Magma himself. Unfortunately, the Volcan Bike was "borrowed" by Corroder and subsequently returned in a significantly more corrosive and radioactive condition. Luckily, Magma is unaffected by the radiation emanating from the bike and after a quick modification to the Volcanic Blasters to convert them to fire Uranium and a simple rename, Magma now rides the Rad Bike into battle against his enemies." The Dark Dragon Rider by Blue Dragon "The dragon features claws and fangs as sharp a razorblades. Besides that, it can also use it's wings a knives, which can even slice through Hero Factory armour. For the long ranged attacks, the dragon can use it's ability to breath fire. It also has a Meteor Launch on it's tail. The rider uses his steed for a wide variety of crime, usually to make a fast getaway. His weapons are claws, a sword and a meteor launcher." Hot Rod by The Lanterne Rouge "No longer will William Furno have the edge in speed and power with his Furno Bike. Features dual forward mounted pivoting machine guns and rear 360 degree cannon." The Shuriken by creepybaldguy "Built with state of the art technology, the Shuriken personal sky fighter was stolen by the villainous Feron from a Makuhero City parking lot. Modified to be even deadlier than usual, it features extending blades and a solid steel nosecone so it can survive even the most damaging of mid-air collisions." Moonshiner by Zip "The Moonshiner is a vehicle that has both strength and speed, a deadly combination. Originally an incomplete prototype vehicle for Alpha Team leader Preston Stormer, it was stolen by Von Nebula before it was finished. Von Nebula (who decided to add in an extra Meteor Bazooka) gave this vehicle to Bleu as a private transport. The vehicle can levitate and fly across land and space, as well as ram through anything from a Dropship to a Starship with deadly speed and force. However, since it was never completed, the ship's speeds were never regulated to stop at a certain limit. At maximum power, the vehicle will go so fast that both it and the pilot disintegrate into dust. Great for kamikaze attacks (except you won't die as often)!" MPT-9000 by Oky Wan Kenobi "The MPT-9000, or Multi-Purpose Transport, is the latest in villain getaway transportation engineering! It's a green, mean, stealing machine for all your evil schemes! Armed with a mini-gun, a large plasma blaster, and twin laser cannons, this bad boy is not easy to stop for any hero! It features a roomy midsection and a powerful claw-arm for loading and transporting loot or henchmen! And it even has a Flight Mode!"
  16. Voting - Henchmen Please post your votes in this thread. Voting ends 5 days from the time of this topic being posted. Voting is open to all members who joined prior to the contest opening date of September 17th You vote by allocating three points to the entries, giving the name of the person you are voting for. Henchmen category description: Build a lumbering giant to assist in felonies and to do the dirty work that the more "sophisticated" schemers would not do themselves. Henchmen are still dangerous outlaws, but prefer brute strength or firepower over brains and strategy! Entry should be at least 30cm/12 inches tall/long. Entry must be based around a negative/dangerous idea, in the style of official Hero Factory villains. Entries: Nicolas Napalm by pig "Nicolas Napalm, a former American war strategist and a henchman of Viktor Von Nebula." Ruination by zero1312 "Probably the most dangerous of Von Nebulas new henchmen. Also the first to be powered by one of Von Nebulas stabilised black holes. This provides him with an infinite supply of weapon energy. He also has the ability to create a gravity field, where the gravity is so high that everything that enters it, will be crushed to dust. Fortunately it can only last for a few minutes, before it deaktivates itself. His armor also provides an excellent protection against most conventional weapons." Arnaments: Fusion cannon, Mk. II Meteor blaster, dual head mounted laser cannons. Special abilities: Infinite weapon energy provided by the black hole core, gravity crushing field, resistent to most conventional weapons Thread level: extreme Devastator by Kustig "Once a great warrior, Devastator was caught in a huge blast and was mutated into a horribly beast that now serves under Von Nebula. Now Devastator uses his ultra powerful claws to crush his opponents to pieces." Archer by The Lanterne Rouge "Archer and Blaster share a past shrouded in mystery but somehow connected. They each sport energy harnessing rods on their backs, a host of common parts, and the same ruthless personalities. Some say they are brothers, if a bot can have such a thing. Archer is armed with an explosive arrow firing bow and powerful sword. If you get in Archers way, he is guaranteed to get medieval on your … * Bow fires explosive arrows * Antennae allow Archer to sense targets in all directions * Stands 12½” from foot to tip of antennae" Havoc by Leugi "HERO FACTORY Alert! Havoc is destroying everything at Makuhero city! Beware HERO FACTORY, as he's the biggest machinery being controlled by Von Nebula. Don't let him use his arm-cannons in the city, and beware of his chest guns! Project CR-5H, of the Hero Factory, was probably one of the biggest (literally) projects the factory ever had. With the recent attacks, the management at Hero Factory decided it would be good to have a big hero (with the name of Jake Crush) just in case of emergencies, as a final weapon shall everything else go wrong. But the project was never finished. Before the Factory was actually able to add Jake's Hero Core, Von Nebula and his henchbots managed to break into Hero Factory, and stole the brainless robot. After painting it with new colors (to make it look EVIL), Von Nebula created a remote control to use this huge machine. It was then, that what was going to be known as Jake Crush, is now Havoc, Von Nebula's strongest weapon against the forces of good." Weapons · Arm-Cannons · Chest Guns · Feet (He can step on everything easily) Lightning by _shaddow_ "Lightning is a henchman that often goes in missions with Thunder, and sees him like a "friend". he may not look like it, but he's pretty intelligent and very dangerous with his Electrical dual blade/shield and his powerful meteor blaster. The crest on his head permits him to use ultrasounds to detect ennemies (or allies) movements. He is a real hazard, and even some of Von Nebula's henchmen are affraid by him." - Storable Meteor launcher ! - Lightning's blades separates to form his dual blade weapon ! - He doesn't even need a child to play with, HE plays with the child ! Benton Destruction by Milargo "An indomitable Brute of Terrifying Size!" Fully equiped with: -the devastating Rocket Fist! -Gripping red hot vengeance of the Magma Claw! -Angellic Forcefield when rasied, -Lightning Fast Rocket Pack when lowered! -Covered in only the Finest, Strongest Stolen Armor!\ Read the topic for the full description! Soot Stiletto by Zip "Stiletto was once an operator at the Hero Factory call center. However, her programming had a malfunction in it that made her crave excitement, sharply contrasting with the programming of the other operators. Unfortunately, before this malfunction was ever repaired, Stiletto managed to escape the Hero Tower. Upgrading herself from trades in the Galactic Black Market, she would take on a new profession: an assassin who only works for pay. Stiletto, unlike other villains, prefers finesse, speed, precision, and silence over flashy forward attacks. Her black coating adds an extra layer of stealth to her being. If you can get past her tentacle daggers, get ready for those giant swords(As large as they are, they will quickly slice through you without a sound)."
  17. Voting - Villains Please post your votes in this thread. Voting ends 5 days from the time of this topic being posted. Villains category description: Build an evil mastermind to plan and carry out crimes as part of Von Nebula's gang! This kind of villain has at least a basic level of intelligence, and has tact and style in their manner of committing crimes. Entry must be reasonably humanoid, no less than official Hero Factory villains. Entry should be shorter than 30cm/12 inches. Entry must be based around a negative/dangerous idea, in the style of official Hero Factory villains. Entries: Tear Down by lisqr "Tear down used to be one of the Heroes. But after hundreds times of false reports from Hero Factory Call Center, he had enough. Tear down turned evil. To punish those mischievous kids, he goes from door to door smashing their LEGO models. No model can survive under his golden meteor hammer. He holds his old Hero armor upside down as a shield and as a symbol of his betrayal." Sara Nitro by zero1312 "A former Hero Factory scientist and the city's prominent supplier of explosives for every criminal who can affort her prices. Once a human, a horrible lab accident caused by Xplode crippled her body and mind almost completely.Xplode took her to Von Nebula, who provided her with a new body. Now she provides her powerful explosives to every force, who wants to take down Hero Factory. But the most powerful ones are kept by herself, as she does some destruction for Von Nebula every now and then. Her blast armor and axe are filled with highly explosive Nitro-Glycerin, which makes her very difficult to arrest. Only a single touch is needed to let them explode and it is always guided away from her." Abilities: • Leading expert in explosives • Meteor blaster shots Nitro-filled spheres • Protective blast armor on lower arms and head • Axe errupts in a powerful explosion when hit by anything • Immune to her explosions Blaster by The Lanterne Rouge "Blaster is a gun for hire currently working on assignment for Von Nebula. Nobody knows for certain how Blaster’s Blaster generates such incredible power, but some speculate it might have something to do with the energy harnessing rods on Blaster’s back. If you are close enough to see Blaster up close, it is probably too late." • Extremely dangerous gun for hire • Powerful blaster and crushing claw • Stands 10½” tall from foot to tip of spike Magma by Darkblane "Many of Von Nebula's henchmen have made the mistake of underestimating Magma. He may appear cool on the outside, but underneath he has a red hot temper. This temper is not just restricted to his enemies and many of his servants have been reduced to slag for incompetance. In addition to this inner rage, Magma is equipped with Volcanic Blasters and forearm mounted Lava Blades. For now Magma is content to serve under Von Nebula, but his volatile nature indicates that he may erupt at any moment and strike out on his own ... Suspect is considered extremely dangerous! If you see this person, do not try to apprehend. Call Hero Factory immediately, and a Hero will be dispatched to capture the suspect." Dracaro by Dan the Brickman "While working on an experiment to revive ancient dinosaurs, something went wrong. When the scientist woke up, his laboratory had been destroyed, and he couldn't remember where he was...or, who he was. Slowly, his old memories and personality began to fade, until he had fully transformed into the hideous dragon-like hybrid. Now, all he thinks of is hate for all of mankind, who had wiped out dragon-kind, and has allied with Von Nebula, to help destroy the world. Dracaro wields a double ended battle-staff, and can breath fire. He is capable of short flights, though his wings are not strong enough for continuous flight. His sharp claws can pierce steel, and he has sharp spines which run down his back. The tail is also an effective weapon." Darkmatter by LegoGalactus "Once a rookie at Hero Factory, Darkmatter was caught stealing weapons from the villains they captured and thus was forever banned. Now he works along with Von Nebula to get his revenge at Hero Factory and will destroy anyone who gets in the way. No one can survive his negative energy." Powers: Able to create negative power. Cronos by Leugi "Temporal Rift Detected! Cronos detected in the outskirts of Makuhero city! Whatever this villain is planning, it must be stoped before it's too late. Be careful HERO FACTORY he's armed with his Time-Control Staff and a meteor blaster! Don't run out of time! Cronos was probably built in the future, but traveled back in order to conquer the world, or help its creator conquer the world. Cronos is an enigmatic character. He was designed in such a way that he likes being a doomsayer (which, for some mysterious reason is always right) and speaks like some kind of prophet. He loves clocks (not the digital ones) and dislikes hot dogs..." Abilities · Control Time. · Time Travel. · Time Stop. Weapons · Time-Control Staff · Meteor Launcher Warfare by Vexorian "Once a famous general, Warrick Farrow has gone senile and tormented by the idea of how world peace will mark the extinction of warriors like him. He has decided to fuse his mind into a machine and War Fare was born, a machine of destruction controlled by a brain that wants to bring war back to the world. Extreme caution! Warfare's shoulder guns allow rapid fire while its powerful bazooka can destroy even the most resistant targets and may also use a bayonet for close combat. This criminal is a threat to the whole world and must be neutralized promptly." Feron by creepybaldguy "Warning! The robot known as Feron has been spotted downtown using his axe to destroy city property and anything else that stands in his way! Capable of beheading a target in one fell swoop, his axe should certainly be avoided." Torchur by Zip "Torchur is your stereotypical villain, a subordinate of Von Nebula. He's mean, explosive, powerful, and isn't afraid to use force to get what he wants. Armed with twin hammer hands, this evil bot will smash right through you. Although he wasn't as notorious as his clone, he's still one of the most feared bots in the galaxy. Best "friends" (as in they don't get in fights as much as the other villains) with Thunder."
  18. There was a topic started by Bfahome some time ago that documented the ever-changing weather patterns of Makuhero City. I think we did pretty well, quickly finding (almost) 18 different weather forecasts and their accompanying secret messages. But we aren't done yet - Binkmeister (the man in charge of creating the weather system) has told me that there are still 6 more (as of this topic being posted) forecasts left to find! Quite simply, your task is to finish off the Hero Factory Background Index. Use the template and instructions in the Background topic to post a previously undiscovered forecast in that topic, then post here to say you've done so and you'll receive a cute lil' weather balloons tag (Landing soon)!
  19. They're almost done! Expect them to be up later today.
  20. It ain't a BIONICLE piece, and it ain't in the Imperial Flagship inventory. The proportions and sails look dodgy and so similar to official images that I'd agree on this being a (very cool and skilled) photo-shop. The two red flags at the front look like mirror images of each other, making one of the two flags impossible... I'll move this to the general LEGO forum just in case it is a real LEGO piece and somebody recognises it.
  21. Whoops, I was formatting the titles and forgot that this was a normal MOC when your other topics were LDD MOCs.
  22. The size difference is the main divider between the two categories, so it's essentially that already. The rest of the bullet points deal more with getting the style right, which everybody is fine with, and the description, which is just to flesh the entries out a bit more.
  23. Time to close this contest. Expect voting to appear soon!
  24. There's already been one deadline extension, but it just so happens that I'm very busy this weekend. I'll extend the deadline to Monday 18th October at 2300 NZT, so you American folk will have the weekend to finish any last minute entries. This is absolutely the last extension, so use it well!
  25. This is a reminder that you should only use one picture in your entry posts. If you want to show more, please create a topic for them (you can link to a gallery in the topic). If your entry post links to a gallery or has multiple images, please fix it before the contest closes. I'm sure you can justify it in the description.
