  1. How long will this last? I want to get it whenever I can.
  2. Well, I'll be getting that. Unfortunately, I can't actually view the pics on this device, so I don't know what Superboy looks like. Fire Lavertus is a surprise design, judging from the Target pic.
  3. Killer Frost needs to be in a set with that design.
  4. They may be references, but the themes are separate. I doubt canon would allow them to travel to the time period UA is in.
  5. @ gedren_y, The short legs have had actual back printing, not just the multi-layered plastic. CMF Bart Simpson has one half of his slingshot printed there. But no chance for the standard legs. We know the Cyclops will have a double face, and I'm sure the Galaxy Trooper will, too. I honestly don't expect more, since it's very uncommon in the theme. The Diva needs back printing for that outfit. Wait, she does! EDIT: The review is up! They all look like great minifigures. I really want that Goblin, Evil Wizard, and Disco Diva. And I still like the Lady Cyclops, and she has good back printing. The Classic King's two-piece cape was a surprise to me.
  6. Back leg printing isn't feasible, and wouldn't be convincing without a way to print the inside of the leg holes. Short legs are simpler and more solid, but the jointed standard legs with holes wouldn't be easy to print while making it look good.
  7. Arsenal should not look like the DLC Arrow recolored. I assume Darkseid is in the Bizzaro League pack, since he's involved in the BL movie coming out. If only the physical bigfig were that upright. But would it have killed them to put him in the game and switched out an unimportant character? I mean, he's an ultimate evil in the DCU! But Thanos was DLC, too. Curse you, TT Games!
  8. First appearance doesn't mean it was created exclusively fore this character. It could have been designed for future use on the Green Goblin, and they're just getting some extra usage of the element. At this point, we're only assuming, but the shape of the piece is remarkably like GG's hat in LEGO Marvel Superheroes.
  9. The location is very simple, so two designs are going to look very similar. The one in the game is less complex than the project.
  10. I am anticipating WhiteFang's review eagerly. It should be out in a few weeks, fortunately. Can't wait to see who gets double-sided faces and back printing. I'm guessing the Lady Cylops gets back printing or else there is literally nothing keeping her top on! While Medusa got away with it, I doubt LC will. The Galaxy Trooper probably has an alternate face without the HUD. I also want to see how much of the stand's space that Evil Wizard's cape takes up. And the unfolded King's cape...and really everything else. It's always nice to see the real figures. We know how devious LEGO is. Can you see any similar pieces in this series that may trick you into thinking you have one figure, but there's another in the bag? (Like the Wizard and Fairytale Princess both having slope bricks and conical hats.) I'm guessing the afro and turban will be easy to confuse. Perhaps the khopesh and goblin sword could be confused, and the bar pieces in the Evil Wizard and Snake Charmer might not be a good guide for finding either one.
  11. There is currently no way (or motivation) to support DLC on the Wii U. Which pisses me off, because I'm missing stuff they could have easily just put in the vanilla game for a little more cost. But since there's no market for my system, TT sure ain't going to waste time appeasing the minority of their audience by working in a way to give us that extra content. I can't help preferring Nintendo (and as I type this on the U, the word "Nintendo" was suggested before I finished typing the word), but doing so landed me with a system people care too little about, and thus, no downloadable content.
  12. Oa's green lighting is pretty distracting. Why couldn't they have highlighted the Raibow Pack on Odym or Nok where the colors would pop more? But I really shouldn't complain, the characters look nice, even though my system prohibits DLC. I nervously wonder what else will come out and how angry/jealous I might be. I hope it's no characters I want.
  13. I'm okay with both versions. But the promo MM's face is so creepily un-LEGO-like, I prefer the set version. I also like the new one's cape more.
  14. I would expect that New 52 Harley Quinn that was featured on the comic cover to be in the Villainesses pack. I doubt that design was solely for promotion, since every other cover featured designs in the game.
  15. You know, I will defend the Lady Cyclops. I think she's a nice novelty character, and this is coming from a mythology nut. She's also a pretty clever color-swap of the first Cyclops. And for those who just can't take her seriously...that's the point. She was made to be silly. A cartoon show would have a brutish male and made-up female cyclops couple, so why shouldn't a cartoonishy-stylized group of toy figures? I don't care about it lacking a formidable appearance, (or mythological accuracy, which is really mythical in its own right) because I can see the humor. Were there the same level of complaints against the Alien Villainess? HATED the awful Lady Robot, though. That one was truly lazy and much more offensively reaching. Those meters on the chest didn't help, nor did its lack of personality. And too much pink. But all of you are allowed to love or hate whatever you please. I for one, don't care at all about HDG.
  16. YES!!! My thoughts: Carpenter: Finally, we get a saw! The helmet is reused quite nicely, and I like the board. Fencer: I like it, but I wish we could see the face. Lady Cyclops: This may be an unpopular opinion, but I like her! Something about the makeup combined with the grumpiness makes her look hilarious! The Sand Blue is great as well. This is definitely the best of the "female nonhumans with makeup" trend. Paleontologist: She looks nice, good to get another bespectacled female. That hat definitely looks good. Space Trooper: The black-and-white confuses me. Is it in reference to an old space movie? The new armor is cool. Disco Diva: Nice, a new afro color! She just looks like a lot of fun. Her funky outfit looks good, too. Evil Wizard: WHOA! Cape much? That being said, it's lacking with the torch and lack of hair, but that printed cape looks awesome! Remember when we used to have those? That robe looks amazing as well. The Asian vibe is strong, but reading this page, it does make sense if it's a Ming ripoff. Sheriff: This one looks pretty good. Still loving the 'stache. Alien Trooper: Goodbye, Cthulhu. It still looks really freakin' good, surprisingly nice color scheme. The new gun is nice, but I'd dying to know if that's a mask or a molded head. Samurai Girl (c'mon, that's going to be her name): She's meh. I love the decorated armor, but overall, it seems like an excuse to reuse the bun. Nya did it better. Snake Charmer: Gimme that snake! He looks just as good now as he did a while ago. King: Castle fans' lives can now be complete. This guy looks really good. The hair/crown, along with the much-awaited brown version of that beard...and another specialized cape!!! Wow, two new capes for this series? Both decorated? LEGO, you know how to win us over! Unicorn Girl: Cute. Goblin: GIVE ME 5000 of these! Oh my goodness, he's just perfect! He fits with Castle, Monster Fighters....just perfection. The new sack color is great, and the new hat is perfect. His face is just so adorably wicked! This is my top Minifigure for the series. HDG: Well, this one looks good. Not really my interest, but he looks silly enough. He could have come with the sausage piece, though. Egyptian Warrior: I really like his headdress. His whole look is great, actually. I will definitely get one or two. I promise, this is my last "essay post" for a good while.
  17. I never really called it Series 14. I called it the fourteenth series, which was a mistake because I forgot about TLM and the first Simpsons. But yes, I know that the Simpsons/LEGO Movie series don't fit with the chronology of the others, and I never meant to imply that the Simpsons was S14. My broken brain made me place it as the fourteenth series ever, which was wrong.
  18. It's the Simpsons S2. We've seen the prototypes.
  19. That shark....I wonder. And why didn't they use that large shark mold for the Black Manta set? The other one isn't much of a threat compared to a minifig-eater.
  20. I love it! I've unlocked every character, and got all Red Bricks. but I've bought only about 1/4 of everything. Polka-Dot Man is really fun, and I love some of the self-referential/deprecating humor DC allowed. And the Lantern planet fetch/find quests really pissed me off. If you want a fairly large group characters and a couple of Red Bricks unlocked for free, use these codes! This is especially helpful with , since they are really expensive.
  21. About Plastic Man, they chose his Flashpoint costume, since it is his most recent look. I much prefer it to the decidedly immodest classic outfit. The leg detailing is impressive, and he's standing with the other JL members, awaiting Hawkman, Arrow, Cyborg, and the new Batman, WW, and MM. To get him, though, it was complicated. I arrived on the 11th to get the game, and I asked, "Is the preorder bonus included?" The woman replied cryptically, "It's in the case." Being confused, and a sort of passive person, I left. But the next day I specified, showing them the game, and they immediately gave me a Plastic Man from the drawer. I'm glad they were so nice after the confusion on both sides. 1. Batzarro looks amazing. and 2. I don't have to waste money on a stupid Blu-ray edition? Yes!
  22. The Goblin hair is pretty obviously going to be used for the Green Goblin eventually. When I saw it, I almost screamed with joy, because the first thought was "Oh hell yes, they're making classic GG!!!!!!" Not, "Oh, that's our S13 Goblin!!!!" Since Doc Ock had a comics variation this year, I am positive Goblin will have one too. The piece is almost identical to the LMSH game! Although it works great for an imp being here. I don't know why anyone speculated it to be for the Elves theme. All of them have hair. I'm excited about the Hot Dog Guy, since the mould looks very well-done, and exactly what I imagined from a LEGO hot-dog suit. The Unicorn Girl's helmet is well-done, too. Shame about the fourteenth series.
  23. Why does Batzarro look lavender? And why did they print the "sweatband" white? Batzarro consistently wears a mask that obscures his eyes.
  24. The Star Wars scene was all the Disney property they could manage.
  25. They both have the heat vision eyes, which is great. I am still quite pleased about Manhunter. He's so much better than the creepy-faced version we got before. And his collar looks bigger than the Alien Villainess and Wizard's.
